Nice and clean hotel with no extra bells and whistles

staff great and very helpful, location very convenient right next to the exit, parking and fine and safe place to park overnight, ask for a first floor room if using stairs an issue since no elevator, the rooms do show a bit of wear /could use a bit of updating BUT for the very economical price no problem. Breakfast was well prepared but not as elaborates as some other free ones but again for the price just fine. I would come back again to the hotel.

It is a clean super 8. No frills but clean and nice enough.

it was a good stay overall nothing to fancy nice clean place to stay right off the highway easy to get to and lots of open parking cant complain for the price. only small complaint was could hear the people upstairs walking around.

This is a very clean property. Rooms are updated. Great value for the money.

Clean and quiet

There were black blood sucking carpet beetles that showed up, while sleeping, they weren't bed bugs, they were beetles. I got chewed up, and didn't get much sleep. I told the office and also left a note for housekeeping, I know it's hard to keep up with those things, but come on, toss those beds and steam clean the mattress and the floors under neath them.

Last minute booking, was pleasantly surprised with cleanliness and friendliness of staff.

The room was smelly, bathroom sink was dirty and chipped sink. We did not feel comfortable in the invironment

Was a one night stay. Room was clean, queen bed very comfortable, smelled normal, everything about the room was very good. Complementary breakfast was excellent as well. Overall a great stay.

No hot water bathroom floors were sticky, visible hair and grime from previous guests on the floor and in the shower the bed was nice and the rest of the room was fine. Just the bathroom needed deeper cleaning.

This place is a hidden gem. Clean, large rooms and a jet tub in the room.

Got a king room with Jacuzzi. Bed was stiff. Lighting in the room sucked. Tv was super small and the only place to sit and watch tv was the bed. You would think for $135 a night there would be a couch to sit on in the room.

Lobby stinks like cigarettes, odor extends to hallway upstairs. Receptionist (morning shift) rude and moody. Rooms are ok, very outdated, stained sink. At least sheets and towels are clean. I do or recommend this hotel.

The desk clerk was absolutely horrible to us- we had traveled 16 hours that day - after working a full shift before that and heading straight out- we were traveling with our special needs son who was the Best Man in his brothers wedding the next day. She (the desk attendant) literally cancelled our reservations we had made a week prior and then lied to Wyndham and Expedia saying that we had been “screaming and throwing things” - I asked them to check for any video footage from cameras or reports from any other staff or guests - this caused a lot of undo stress on not only us but our special needs son as well- there were only two hotels in Ionia- the other one was completely full so when she took it upon herself to cancel our reservations without our knowledge or consent she not only hurt her place of employment by losing money but she also violated our rights as customers who had already given out credit card information and everything else. She refused to let us speak to her manager or any other staff- and literally threw us out the door- as a manager at my job I would have fired her in the spot - that is not how you treat customers. I have yet to hear from anyone at this place about the fact that she was allowed to do this and leave us stranded after she lied, she refused to answer me as to how to contact her boss- or if there were any cameras to validate the exchange that we had- which was absolutely even remotely close to what she claimed to Expedia when called by them

Convenient and quieter than expected.

I had a 5-night stay that was made very pleasant by Maddie (sp?) who offered to make me fresh coffee when I checked out at 4:30 am, and always had a positive attitude with any of my asks. This place is situated in between many farms and corn fields, at a truck stop, so the smell was very strong when it came in on the wind. There were times it didn't smell, too, so it's weather-based. The inside lobby was clean and well kept. The beds are firm but comfortable, the rooms are decent, & the door locks have updated locks that just need to be tapped with the key. There are restaurants and fast food within a few miles; enjoyable location overall and a pleasant stay for the low price.

Close to the race location

Pleasantly surprised by the nice clean room and friendly staff. Convenient location near the highway and adjacent service center with a store and a Subway. Breakfast was very much appreciated, and we met some friendly people in the breakfast area. Seems to be a lot of hard working class people stay here which we found fun and interesting. I would have rated higher except we could not drink the water from our tap because it was discolored and tasted horrible. We drank bottled water. Other than that a great place for the money.

Great Location!

We were very pleased with our overnight stop in Ionia and the Super 8. Check-in was quick with a friendly person, our room was clean and cold (which was welcomed because of the heat outside). The property was near the highway we were using for our trip, and the town had everything we could ask for. There is a large gas station next door, which was convenient as we arrived late and I needed Advil.
