Room was clean and fantastic aside from the mini fridge buzzing all night, made it hard to sleep. Pool is a nice size but the water and temp in the pool area was way too cold. Staff were wonderful, we will be returning!

The pool hot tub and sauna are a great amenity to provide.

Multiple errors with reservation, was given room with a dehumidifier plugged in ( they did move us to different room) but the property is WAY OVERPRICED for what it is! Pool un swimmable 90 degrees more like a hot tub can only imagine the bacteria growing

The pool was freezing. Hotel was OK but felt overpriced. Breakfast was nice. Staff is good.

Overhead lobby lights were off, even in the evening. Was like walking into a cave, rather unwelcoming. Pool area was freezing cold.

When I arrived, I loved how organized the front desk was so it was quick and easy to check in. We stayed only one night, but it was quiet, relaxing after a long car ride. I enjoyed the hot tub. It was very clean and professional and then I also enjoyed the waffles the next morning. Definitely gotta check into the waffle batter all in all. We’ll be back for another trip. We are a family of 4 and stayed 4 nights at the hotel on our spring break ski weekend to the UP. It was a nice place to call home for a few days, clean, well kept and updated decor and fixtures. It is a well managed hotel, I’m a bit of hotel snob and have stayed all over the US and prefer Marriott brands but our first stay in an AmericInn was quite lovely. I’m very glad we booked the 2 queen bed suite with lots of extra space for our family to spread out, that also allowed us to not feel cramped as we bring in all our ski gear. Having the lounge area of the room was awesome. The staff was all super kind and accommodating. Breakfast options on were a bit lacking, nothing fresh all prepackaged but my kids did enjoy the “pancake robot” as they called it. We were bummed however that the hot tub was busted for the duration of our trip - that would be my only critique and quite frankly had I known, it would be a deal breaker for us as we really like that post ski soak for our muscles. Also- odd to have a 2nd floor with no elevator. Great location and centrally located to many of the ski areas, quick drive also to the shores of Lake Superior and national forest with beautiful waterfalls- we took a break one day and even in winter- the hiking trails are well managed and cleared, though slippery. I would book here again on a future ski trip but would recommend calling ahead to ensure all amenities available.

Needs updating. Tub was chipped and drain was chipped/rusting. Inside bathroom door had large chipped paint. Room had a slight musty smell, but the beds were clean and comfortable, air stayed cold like we like. I had to do laundry, paid more than the AmericaInn in two harbors and it was a nicer hotel

Room was very clean and the staff were pleasant.

The pillows were rock hard. The room smelled of stinky dogs. The towels felt damp and wet. The heat kicked on every 20 minutes and was loud. The breakfast was all prepackaged garbage. The area for dogs to go to the bathroom had no poo bags, we noticed people letting their dogs poo and no one picked it up due to the lack of bags and this led to the area being filled with poop. I would not stay here again.

friendly staff , cleaning could be more thorough there was a dirty wash rag in the shower and a w tip on the counter but other than that the room was great. Comfy pillows

Staff was lovely, but the air conditioner in our room had a cycling problem and cycled on and off every 2 to 3 minutes with a loud clunk of the compressor after each cycle. There’s also seem to be a second problem with a big dryer, vibrating the room from underneath. The staff stopped the dryer and the air conditioner from outside, and I was able to shut the air conditioner in our room off and open the window. I had a poor night of sleep. they’re going to see about getting it looked at by maintenance. Otherwise all was great and maybe this was the only room with an issue.

Friendly staff, great coffee and breakfast sandwiches, dated rooms and bathrooms.

Nice big room with a fireplace kept us cozy - and just about everything we needed within a 5 minute drive..

Bed was very uncomfortable. Half of the outlets were not working. I use a C-PAP and was only able to plug into a very inconvenient spot.

Called for an early check-in. Was told we could came an hour early and it wasn’t ready. The room wasn’t ready until an hour after their regular check in time.

The clerk messed up on the payments. I reserved 4 rooms. But she could not understand hoe to charge them to the couples that were staying in the rooms. She wanted me to pay for all of them since I rerseved them.

The night worker was so helpful and friendly. Everything was new and first class. Pool, hottub, sauna - perfect after a long roadtrip. Brrakfast was great and used the partnership with the amazing gym close by.

Shower was broken. Key didn’t work well. Staff short with me and unsympathetic

On arrival they said I had no reservation. Even after showing my confirmation number. She said That Expedia had not sent it over. So we had to wait Otherwise nice place.

The outside and inside of hotel was clean and well kept. We traveled with our dog and they graciously put us on the first floor nearest the side door to doggie area. The lady at front desk was very friendly and helpful to our needs. A plus was the family restaurant next to hotel parking lot. This hotel looked just like the pictures portrayed.

Lauren helped us with our check in. She was extremely kind and let us check in early. She then took the time to tell us the best waterfalls to view in the area. We were so grateful for her. On our final day, we requested a late checkout so that we would be able to shower before our 6 hours drive home, after we returned to our room from riding the trails. Kay allowed us to check out late with no questions asked! We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately clerical staff gave our room keys to another guest supposedly by mistake No other rooms available except for one that was supposed to be for the person who took our original booked room ended up with a room that had queen bed and crappy twin pullout we had 4 people we made due but uncomfortable night we had a 12 hour ride ahead of us Had to wait till manager came in 10:30 she said give us full refund and she would contact Expedia After 4 days she had done nothing Called Expedia they handled it and refunded money thank you Expedia

Front desk personnel were very friendly, knowledgeable of the area, professional & courteous. Very convenient location.

A short drive to Copper Peak, which was the main purpose of our trip, this hotel was a wonderful stay. Room was adequate enough for our weekend and was fairly close to shops, gas stations, and decent food options! Would more than likely come stay here again when coming to visit the UP.

Very quiet, plenty of parking, easy access to US Route 2

The room was very nicely decorated, the furniture, carpet, drapes, bathroom all looks new. Clean. Pet friendly is why we picked this hotel. We discovered a nice walking path behind the tree line in back of the hotel.

Great location for our motorcycle vacation. Friendly staff.

Nice place to stay great location

It’s not in a pretty area, off US2 but the back butts up to green area. It’s convenient for sure. The area is so beautiful it’s too bad it couldn’t be in a better spot but the facility is great and well maintained! TV channel guide would be helpful, not familiar with Spectrum.

Everything was very nice, including the hot tub and pool. The breakfast options were so-so, but it was a very nice clean hotel.

The hotel and staff were great. We did go down for breakfast at 9:30 and everything was out and cleaned up aside from a couple of breakfast sandwiches.

Front Desk exceptional - polite, helpful, professional. New breakfast pathetic -- pre-made egg sandwiches like eating cardboard, new pancake machine ridiculous - bland, tasteless.

The staff members on duty on check-in and check-out were very pleasant and inviting. However, the room seemed clean but had a very musty smell. A dehumidifier was running in the room when we got there but it was too noisy to keep on when trying to sleep. Fortunately the a/c was quiet and worked well. The breakfast offering was disappointing…wrapped sandwiches were less than expected at almost $200/night. We drove all over the area to find a restaurant for dinner and ended up at McDonalds. The quality of the hotel is more in the $100-$125/night range. Room size was good…some discoloration in the bathroom grout.

OVERPRICED and under delivered. Let’s start with $40 pet fee (most are $25). Room had very small bathroom and vanity. No place to put anything. Lighting was COLD blue leds. Breakfast was missing eggs, sausage etc. Just waffles and cereal and day old bagels. Outside was not kept up well and area is just not nice. At over $200 all in, this place is very disappointing. First time in an AmericanInn. Not sure if they are all like this. One good thing. Front desk attendant was very helpful.
