The room was good but the cookies were even better. The only complaint I have is the shower pull-up thing didn't allow all the water to come to the shower but it was still ok. I would definitely stay again!! The pool was a hit with my granddaughter

First of all I got a text the day of check-in stating that a pipe burst and they had no water until 6:00 p.m. (no discount) After getting into the room it had never been vacuumed. The hallway wasn't vacumed and there was food and crumbs all over the floor. (no discount)If you're going to have your employees smoke have a designated smoking section, not on the front bench directly outside of the door. I don't want to have to walk through your disgusting cigarette smoke. The oven broke so there was no decent breakfast.(no discount) Massive pot holes in the parking lot. They need to do better. They did offer cookies for not having running water, and they did supply unhealthy Jimmy Dean frozen breakfast when the oven broke.

Our room was clean and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided something for everyone. Coffee was great! If I had to find one negative thing, the pool water was a little cold but you get used to it :) There is plenty of shopping and restaurants near there. Would definitely used again.

Great staff at the desk. The pavers that lead into the hotel from the outside are very dirty. I accidentally dropped a garment coming in to the hotel and I couldn’t wear it

I live out in the country, so traffic noise was different for me. location was easy to find with easy access and lots of parking.

Loved the bed! So comfy! Hated that the elevator was broken for three days. But things happen. Enjoyed our stay with great breakfast, snacks, pool.

This place is horrible and under construction! Walked in and the lobby was completely taken apart, site trailers all over the parking lot. The hotel is under a major renovation and should not be taking any guests

Pros: A great location near many restaurants and stores. The property has a fresh and updated feel. Cons: Multiple things not working when we stayed. The pool was closed because of a broken heater. Some of the machines were broken at breakfast leading to limited choices. Lots of tiny ants in the room that came out overnight in the bathroom/sink area. I mentioned it when we checked out and the front desk staff said they were previously aware of the bug problem. I was offered a free drink for my trouble and some rewards points added to my account, however the promised points never showed in my account

Booked this overnight stay so the grandkids could go swimming. When we got there we found out the pipes had burst in the pool room days go. Wouldn’t even lend us towels when I took the kids to the rec center to swim to stop the crying. We have done this annual stay here for four years, and the pool has been down twice. Will book elsewhere in the future.

Room was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Had a minor problem with some ants around the jacuzzi and in the bathroom so that’s why I gave 4 stars. But overall the bed was comfy and staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our room had bedbugs. We immediately notified staff and moved to a nearby hotel after suffering bites and taking the bedbugs in a cup to the front desk. Disgusting.

The tub was plugged, by the time I was done the water was up to my ankles

I will not be staying at this hotel again and would not be recommending it either, it was very noisy the walls Swede paper thin you could hear everything from other rooms hallway and the outside the exhaust fan sounded like it was tearing the room apart and there was not much light in the room

We were impressed by the whole experience. The beds were so comfy. The comforter and pillows were perfect. We loved the shower head in the tub, so nice. The breakfast was so wonderful, such a beautiful variety. Lastly, the staff was super!! Thank you.

The property is very close to a busy road. Lots of vehicle traffic noise all through the night.

All was clean and staff friendly, morning breakfast is only from 6:30 to 9am at least on Saturday. Seems like it should run for another hour. We had a whirlpool room, all was good, but it's a rather small tub, tight for two adults at one time. Oddest shape of any tub I've seen in the past, no real comfortable position for one person, much less two. Also the faucets don't work properly, no stop for off. You can rotate it continuously and never really find a stop where it won't drip. But the bed was clean, comfortable, and slept well.

It would be nice if the clock was set to the correct time or have the ability for the occupant to set the time. Also a channel guide for the TV would be helpful

While it is an older property, they have made updates. The beds seemed new, soft, and comfortable.

I booked a 2 queen bed room and when I got there and checked in and got to the room it was a one bed room, my son had to sleep on the floor will not be using hotels.com again

The staff was incredibly accommodating in needing an early check in for an event. The room was clean and the breakfast was exceptional.

I booked a room through Expedia and they sent me my itinerary with everything correct. I checked in went to my room and received a room I didn’t book. I called front desk and the worker was rude and put all the blame on Expedia. He Refused to help us in anyway or even give us the room I booked. He told me I had to contact Expedia so I did. Expedia confirmed the booking was what I asked for and after they reached out to the front desk 3 times he refused to change us rooms or do anything for their mistake. I have stayed her at least a dozen times and have never had any issues or a rude person. Very disappointed.

We booked two rooms and our reservation was accepted and processed and when my guys arrived, only one room was available and I had to move them AGAIN at 10:30pm. Extremely inconvenient and the front desk person was of no help.

This hotel is Scamming people out of their money!!! I travel frequently always booked through Hotels.com NEVER had a problem checking in late. You call ahead of time let them know you will be getting their after midnight and they notate it. I booked 2 rooms paid in advance and called 3 days before no one answered called back the day before check in. Someone answered I told him it was going to be a late checking I was coming in from Detroit. He said it was fine he would let the Front Desk reps know. I get there and they told me they did an audit and they can no longer retreive my room from the system because it is marked as "dirty". The girl at the front desk says she is new and doesn't know how to reverse the "audit" so she calls some guy, Kirk Juwell, who I saw on another review someone referenced him and it is still undetermined what his role actually is in the company other than being a complete jerk but he is super rude and unhelpful. They wanted me to book the rooms again which I was not going to give them another dime headed to the next city over and stayed in Imlay. What kind of management leaves a new employee alone without any supervision or someone above her that can actually maneuver the system. Never heard of a company doing that, a Manager or Supervisor should always be on the clock.

Kaitlyn, who checked us in was great; she helped us print maps for a place we needed to go for a funeral. She explained the directions. Later she helped us via phone to find a channel we were trying to find on the TV. She was delightful all of the time. . . and I am sure she thought, "who are these people??!!" She made a somewhat unpleasant trip much more positive.

This Holiday Inn Express worked great for its location near many restaurants, shopping and the wedding venue we were attending. The staff was great, very helpful. They provided a good breakfast and good coffee. Good coffee is important to me.

This hotel has been updated since my previous stay here a few years ago. It has a fresh new look and the lobby and breakfast areas have been updated. The breakfast served was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had in a very long time. Nice range of selections, fresh tasty food, and very clean and well maintained serving area. This is a great hotel, I will definately stay here anytime I am in this area.

It is in the middle of renovating but the staff is very friendly. They ran out of food during the weekend for breakfast.

The Lapeer Holiday Inn Express is a great hotel! It has been recently updated and has a fresh new look inside. The staff was great and the breakfast outstanding. One of the best hotel breakfasts for quality and range of selection I have ever seen. I highly recommend this hotel.
