My husband and I stayed at this hotel only one night on our way to Yellowstone. The front desk attendant was very nice. He helped us with our luggage since we were on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator. The courtyard area was in rough shape but we managed to find a spot to dance (we are big line dancers!). Anyway for the most part, this was a decent place to stay. Water from a dispenser in the lobby, coffee too. Breakfast options available were bread (toaster available), peanut butter and jelly, cream cheese, butter, a Belgian waffle maker, orange juice and packaged muffins. Pretty decent. The area looks pretty deserted but there is a gas station, restaurant, and a couple of other buildings across the street. And I think the police station is located behind the hotel.

I think that the people that work there are very nice. It is close to a great restaurant - Farmer's Daughters. It is pet friendly. This hotel is in poor condition - the carpet was dirty, the room smelled musty, the bedspreads had stains, the plaster/sheetrock in the bathroom was crumbling, the shower curtain was torn. The bed linens and bathroom linens were all fresh. This hotel has a lot of deferred maintenance - the rooms need to be freshened up, updated. It is OK for one night if you need to stay in Blue Earth, but that's about it - a remodel is in order.

Great! I would highly recommend removing carpet in the pet designated rooms. This management team does a great job on site with cleanliness. The room had a bad mold smell from the carpet. Hotels I have stayed in frequently with business travel have vinyl water proof would appearance. I would stay here again. blue earth MN is a lovely town.

Clean, older Super 8. This is a ok place to stay if you hold onto the idea it is a “budget” hotel. The owners were great. There is no elevator to the second floor so he offered to carry our bags for us. The bed was surprisingly comfortable! The room didn’t smell the best at first but after opening the windows it was ok. Breakfast was very limited. Waffles and a microwave for prepackaged rolls and bread. No protein, fruit, dairy, decaf, tea. I’d say make a plan to go to the breakfast diner next door. But, it was clean!

This place is suffering- from the nearby highway construction. It is very difficult to access from the highway eastbound. The whole town seems to be suffering. That being said, we found the staff to be quite accomodating and friendly. The facilities are adequate and rates good value .

The man at the front desk was wonderful. He did not have a room for us on the first floor so he carried our bags up to the room for us and back down in the morning. It was a blessing for a coiled of old ladies!

We have stayed here before and its always a nice experience. We love that the hotel is pet friendly and has space outside. It is conveniently located near shopping, dining and the highway. The beds and pillows are fantastic. The price is reasonable. Breakfast is decent as well.

Upon arrival, the family that owns the hotel is super nice very accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable. we were headed to South Dakota and the hotel is so nice that we stayed again on our way back home.

First off - Staff was great! Super nice and helpful. Property is kind of dated and definitely needs some cleaning to accommodate pricing… could see dirt build up in bathroom, in breakfast area, ironing board had a bad/gross stain, etc. however, it felt safe and was a decent spot to sleep for a night.

We were surprised because the reviews showed 8.2 and “very good” when we booked the room. The staff were super friendly, but the room had a bad smell covered up by a citrusy, strong air freshener. The carpet was slightly damp so we wore our shoes the whole time. Bathroom door had several chunks taken out of it.

We needed a quiet room during a long car trip. This was perfect. Set far enough off I-90, the bed was comfortable, shower felt great, we felt safe and the simple but tasty breakfast got us off to a good start for the final push home. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

I didn't realize it, and the reservation was for a nearby city, so I arrived without a reservation. A young man at the hotel named Matt helped me. It took a long time. We called Expedia almost eight times, and no one helped us until we found Pedro Gonzales from Expedia. That young man was very special. He helped me solve my problems like an angel from God. Technology is difficult when you're my husband's age and mine. I hope to find many more Pedros like him, and Expedia should take this man as an example. I say the same to Matt from Super 8; I know we'll never forget him.

It was a very nice stop on my road trip. The place may be a little run down but the folks who own it are very hospitable and work hard to keep it up. The hostess made sure I took some breakfast with me to go before I got back on the road! I felt safe here.

For an economical stay, this is a great place to stay. Right off the highway. Also if you want to see the jolly Green Giant it is on the same street. The best part of my stay was the agent that was on duty. He was friendly and gave me some information that I requested.

We didn't give this a 5 star because the bed was very very soft with no support. And there was no protein option at breakfast - all breads, cereals and carbs. Otherwise, a pleasant stay and very helpful staff.
