The hot tub was broken, and that’s why we booked the room. After finding out another guest had a whirlpool suit we asked if that could be a possibility for us to get a whirlpool room because the broken hot tub was needed for a bad back injury. The front desk person first told us to cancel our reservation and go somewhere else and go through the cancellation process to get our money back. After some conversation he agreed to move us to a whirlpool room with sofa couch. That sofa couch (which was needed for sleeping) was disguising. It has urine soaked bedding on it, it had old dirty socks, candy, crumbs, and garbage all stuffed under the top cushions. After bringing it to the attention of staff all they did was wipe it out and put clean sheets on it. But the sofa remains to smell like urine and they still expected us to use it as a bed. Again we asked for a different sofa bed so it could be used for sleeping and we were Told that they put new sheets on it “what more do you want”. How about something that wasn’t soaked in urine. Finally they suggested that we move to a new room. When entering the new (3rd) room we are hit in the face with a chemical smell! Not sure if it was for bugs, or to cut the cigarette smoke smell coming from the bathroom/ vanity area. After the attitude we received over the sofa couch it was was not worth the energy to report this issue again.
