Super 8 by Wyndham Melrose

Doesn’t have elevator. Steps are hard to go up and down with luggage. Very small motel.

Property was clean; When asked, They did accommodate with an extra desk chair. there was no suites. Breakfast was meager; very little choices; would have been nice to have bagels, or yogurt. They charge $80 to your credit card for incidentals; when there wasn't any, they said it could be 3 days for the monies to be returned. Other Wyndom facilities in the state of MN didn't do this

Old fashioned, very noisy, muddy parking lot. Very rude and unfriendly main staff.

The property was old and tired. Price and location fit my travel plans.

No breakfast due to an inspection next week Ice machine did not work well. Room smelled. Bed was comfortable and air conditioner worked well. We listened to a man next door snore all night.

The lobby area was sufficient for a small group however the couches should be replaced as the distressed imitation leather was shedding pieces of leather on our clothing. The staff (Sam) was awesome. We had everything we needed in the room and was clean. Breakfast was minimal with cereal and toast. I was not expected any more than that, so I was not disappointed!

Convenient to our event. And the property was very well maintained.

We did not stay as the rooms were not ready and the place was dirty and we made reservations at a nicer hotel for the same price. Weeds in landscaping. Dust on coffee tables with magazines from 2018! The lobby furniture had peeling/cracked leather. There were crumbs on the dining tables even though they don’t provide any food. The lights were all shut off in the lobby and hallway when we arrived. We went in one of the rooms to look at it to see if we wanted to stay after seeing the dirty lobby and there were at least 5 flies in the room. We went to Ameri inn in Sauk centre and it was a beautiful hotel with a great breakfast and great customer service

The four non smoking rooms were separate from the smoking rooms. The ventilation system for the facility did not come into our non smoking room. I appreciate that. Also, as we were leaving, in weather that was rainy, snowy and windy two men come out to smoke. They were getting some fresh air and respecting the rights of others. They even offered to help me get the snow off the van which was in the Reserved for Veterans parking spot by the front door. I pulled the van out of the Vets parking spot then cleaned the snow off the van. I appreciate and Thank you for your kindness to Us Vets.

Clean rooms. Well kept lobby. Comfortable

We asked for non smoking room. The room smelled so bad of smoke I couldn’t sleep all night. Sheets were clean, I think, but so wrinkled.

The smell of cigarettes in the hallway was unbearable. The room smelled of heavy cleaner. There was trash left in the nightstands. The shower did not drain fast enough.

Not a very friendly owner. The room was dusty, grout in bathroom needs a good bleaching. Smelled of old smoke. Bed was comfortable. Coffee pod still in from last owner and was scummy water.

Inexpensive and worn but the room was clean

This place was a dump. Dirty and smelled horrible. Didn’t have hot water. It barely got lukewarm. GROSS!!

The entrance way and hallways smelled like people had smoked. Being a nonsmoker it was sickening. The hallway up the steps was very dirty. The internet app stated there was a hot breakfast and there wasn’t any breakfast. All the rooms with kings were on the 2 floor. I have a bad back!

No breakfast. On website stated free breakfast. Hallways were extremely dirty. Room had a faint smoke smell but was fairly clean when compared to the halls.

The common areas smelled terrible like cigarettes. The sheets and towels smelled of smoke as well. The room itself didn’t smell but I came home and my pajamas smelled like I had been in a bar. The towel ripped as I was drying off and there was a stain on the bottom sheet.

Water damage, the water en el shower is brown, i never come back, and the staffing is terrible

The motel is very outdated. Breakfast is a joke and the room had a not so great smell. The light in the bathroom flickered a lot which was quite annoying.

Just needed a place to sleep for two nights while in town. Smaller rooms, but comfortable and provided what we needed.

The rooms were verry duty and really bad odor. The water from the tub didnt drain. Horrible experience they should close this place down. Do not recomment to stay at this place.

If I could do NEGATIVE stars on this place I would! They denied my child’s service dog even with the heads up notice that we had him! They tried asking for documentation on him and that is ILLEGAL according to ADA law! When I showed them on the ADA website and told them this law the supervisor called on the phone and claimed they had a “certification” for ADA and that I wasn’t “fooling” them 🙄 I went ahead and paid the “Pet” fee of twenty dollars per night and then made a report to the ADA and Also to the Wyndham hotel corporate. And within 20 minutes I got a call down to the front desk and the super visor was on the phone AGAIN and said they weren’t keeping our reservation and asked us to leave IMMEDIATELY right After I just got both of my special needs kids settled in our room. So $300 later and a lot of hassle and having to last minute find a close town by with a hotel so I could get my family settled so I could get to rehearsal dinner for the wedding I was in (I was 1.5 hours late after all this! And I was the maid of honor!” I still have NO justice! I called corporate to make a complaint about them kicking us from the hotel after we were in our room and paid and they said my first complaint from like 40 minutes earlier was already DENIED. Even though they were ILLEGALLY denying us. On that hotels website it says service dogs are allowed as by what ADA defines as a service dog and that’s exactly what our dog is and has been for 6 years now.

Very bad no staff around

The staff was very friendly and accommodating when i booked the wrong dates.

Room was okay. Halls stunk horribly. Staff was not friendly at all. Disappointed overall.

The desk worker (I assumed also the owner) was friendly and helpful. He showed general interest in what brought us to stay in Melrose. The staffed seemed happy and seemed to work hard! The room had updated carpeting and furniture and looked like they were trying to improve their hotel.

Upon entering the building I smelled cigarette smoke. The bed was clean. I was told that breakfast has no coffee so I should make it in the room and if I need more to ask. The next morning they didn’t have any breakfast. They posted a sign saying due to Covid they don’t have to provide any.

Expedia advertised an included breakfast but none was available. We tried the in-room coffee machine but it left a floating layer of something on the coffee. Bathroom tub floor needed better cleaning. Acknowledge that it is an inexpensive highway motel but you shouldn’t advertise breakfast when there isn’t one.

The manager said that there would be no continental breakfast in the morning as they had not gotten an inspection to reopen. How long that has been I do not know. Disappointed.

They said breakfast bit is not no good nothing to chose fromonly coffe and somebread but not to nuch choise

We stayed Saturday night to Sunday morning. There was no breakfast as "the inspectors will be here Monday". I asked for a $20 refund on our $125 charge... was told they would refund me $10. Will see if that shows up on our card. The air conditioner was extremely noisy. Also, the light in the bathroom made a loud humming noise (this was NOT the bathroom fan). There was also an overall odor, most noticeable in the hallways but also somewhat in the room.
