Pillows were old. There was a piece of metal on the bed frame sticking out. Staff was not friendly and was out front smoking frequently. Parking lot had horrible potholes. Back door did not lock so anyone could have access to hotel.

Not only was this place dirty, but it also smelled. It also advertised that we had a pool as an amenity but we got there and the pool was closed. After talking to some locals, it was revealed that the pool has been closed for years. The beds are horrible and the mini fridge had what looked like dead bugs in it. It is robbery charging so much for a room that was so gross and not even all amenities that were advertised were actually available.

Door security was not great. Auxiliary entrance open 24/7 for anyone to enter. Some of the amenities not available like pool and (Apparently down for some time an owner reluctant to fix) we had to ask for clean sheets. Gas fireplace didn't work in our room. The place has great potential but requires an owner attention.

Room smelled of old stale smoke. Not someone recently smoking in there, but years past. Pool and hot tub not working (main reason i booked it). I unfortunately had a black light with me to look for certain UV minerals and made mistake of using it in room (so gross, i could hardly sleep)! Dust on every surface. Breakfast was sparse and what i did try (biscuits and gravy) was not fully cooked. Staff seemed nice enough. Not that its a big deal, but says rainfall shower head..not the case and couldnt push piece down to get running water in tub, always shower head.

Gross, gross, gross! The room was nasty. The bathroom was nasty - the shower was so dirty I couldn’t take a shower in it! The floor was stained, the “comforters” were stained, even the lampshades were stained! We stripped the “comforter” off and took a close look at the sheets, which seemed ok. The bed was very uncomfortable - squeaky, way, way too springy. Every time my husband moved in the bed - even slightly - the entire thing would bounce to the point of waking me. It smells very musty throughout the entire hotel. There is a sign saying the pool is temporarily closed for maintenance. The clerk told us it’s been out of service for 6 years! Saying it “needs parts” — six years! Never again! Yuck!!

Room is in desperate need of an update. Everything is outdated from probably 20 years ago. Sheets, towels, and bed cover all very old. Trash behind the couch and nightstand. Sink faucet only high sprayed out water, making a mess on the countertop. Staff very friendly and nice but this hotel is really really old and tired.

Clean room, for the most part, but broken lamps, a remote that barely worked, etc. The two employees I saw were working hard, but the owners are doing zero upkeep. I’ve stayed here dozens of times over several years and it gets a little worse every visit. There used to be mini fridges and microwaves, but no longer.

Staff was very nice and the hotel was clean. The pool and hot tub were closed since 2019- which was a surprise. Our room on the ground floor was dark and overlooked the McDonalds drive through 30feet away so getting natural light into the room was limited. The bath room fixtures were old. The beds were hard and the bedding was worn.

This place needs new beds and linens to start. The springs in the mattress were sticking out and a very uncomfortable bed. Linens were worn and the fitted sheets fell off as soon as you moved in the bed. The price was reasonable, but the night of sleep was not. There was a large spider in our relative's room and black spots on our pillowcases.

There were a several issues - 1) the keycard did not work 9/10 times without spending at least 3-5 minutes wiggling it; 2) toilet ran all night - they did come and fix for the second night 3) the refrigerator was the smallest I've seen in a hotel - especially in a "suite" 4) sheets and blanket were VERY old and thin 5) only one air conditioner in the main bedroom that did not reach the living area where my grandsons slept (uncomfortably) on the foldout couch 6) air conditioner leaked - soaking the carpet - they said it was because of the humidity, but it was not. 7) I asked for trash to be removed and bed made the second day and the pillows were thrown on the dresser and behind the TV - they didn't bother putting them back on the bed

This motel needs a complete renovation. The bedding is a disgrace, towels are worn and stained and furniture is old and uncomfortable. The lobby is great with nice furniture and a beautiful fireplace.

We reserved two rooms for four people, but when we arrived to Hotel, front desk person told us that they received data from Hotels.com about reservation of one room only. I got confirmation by email from Hotels.com that two rooms are reserved. But Moose Lake Lodge and Suites front desk person insisted that it is chronic problem for them with Hotels.com. Big surprise- we never had issues with Hotels.com. Eventually we got two rooms.

The front desk employee on Saturday March 16, 2024 was extremely helpful and nice. There was an issue with our third party reservation and the young man at the desk was super understanding and accommodating. Great service, clean room and very comfortable bed.

Our room was perfect for us as I had a small dog and we were just a few stps away from the exterior door to outside which I really needed due to my walking disability. Staff was great and assited in every possible way to make our stay comfortable. We already made our Labor Day reservations and plan on making plenty of other reservations at the Moose Lake Lodge.

The motel itself was beautiful. Very friendly staff when I checked in. I had chosen this motel because it was convenient to where I needed to be the next day. One of the requirements I look for in a motel is a swimming pool & continental breakfast. The pool wasn't working. I was told it hadn't been working for quite some time. Their key card system was down as well so we couldn't let ourselves into our room. I was very uncomfortable with the situation.

The property is fine for the price and overall, I was pretty comfortable. Things are certainly outdated and could use some love but it was overall clean and a pleasant stay. Check in was strange and the woman helping us was a bit rude and gaslighting everyone that checked in because of their booking system. For example, I changed my booking through Expedia a few days before and because Expedia didn't communicate that with them, she said made me feel like I was in the wrong. Further, my family member booked online, too, and whoever they booked through, messed up their reservation as well. She also made them feel like it was their fault (and mentioned how much money they actually get from that booking.) I told her it would probably clear a lot of this up if they just had their own website.

This facility has potential but the maintenance has been neglected. The pool and spa were shut down for maintenance but no one worked on it during the 3 week days we stayed there. The HVAC system (air exchanger) wasn’t working properly and it made the room air very humid. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and hardworking but the front desk staff acted like they would rather be somewhere else. It’s a great location.

It was a perfectly nice room, but unfortunately, they told us that we had to jiggle the access key because it was tricky to get it to work. We tried and tried to get in and it wouldn't work. I complained and they wouldn’t give us another room, said it was my fault that I chose this room and they were fully booked, so we couldn't switch rooms. Why would you make that room available if guests cannot get inside with their key? Very frustrating! There was nothing to let us know when we were making our reservation that the pool are was not going to be available for us to use. Our alarm clock was broken so it did not wake my husband up at the time he wanted to get up. No good breakfast options for diabetic guests. Biscuits and gravy, whole milk for cereal, no skim milk offered. A lot of little things added up to a disappointing overnight stay.

After reading ratings, I think people gave them too hard of a time. The place was clean, the staff was really nice, and they had a nice breakfast. And good coffee. Nothing fancy but nice mom and pop style place. Tv worked great! There was a hair dryer.
