to start off at check in the hotel didnt have my reservation right I booked threw an senu group to get a discount and I called to make sure they canceled the right reservation and the hotel didn't cancel the room I booked online so we ended up paying for the room again! the the drains in the poor were not working so there was water pooled up all over the floors and people were slipping all the time because the floors are extremely slippery, i asked the lady at the front desk for pool towels and she said there wasn't any so we had to use our hotel room towels!

There was a baseball tournament in New Ulm & they were very noisy with loud music until 1am. There is only 1 elevator in the hotel at the very end of the building. Very unhelpful with a lot of luggage or if a person has trouble taking stairs. Poorly laid out building

The pool and hot tub were in the middle of the rooms, so there were many people hanging out who were not swimming, which was strange. The floor drains didn't work well so once too many people were swimming it was dangerously slippery. The room was also a strange mix of accessible and non-accessible. It made the toilet paper so far away from the toilet that it was hard to use. The fridge didn't keep anything cold. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We book a bunch of rooms a couple of times a year to get together with family. This time, we sent 2 kids home early after repeated falls around the pool. The drains were all blocked so water was standing in multiple places and despite they walking, my 2yr old niece still went down many times, the last time hitting her heading and passing out she cried so hard. Unfortunatly love the set up and location, but for the kids safety... won't be coming back with our group.

Friendly&helpful front desk. The pool and hot tub chlorine levels have got to be extremely high. Lots of red burning eyes/skin. Also stayed in room 115 which I figured out was right next to the continental breakfast kitchen- 330am on there was a ton of banging around behind the wall connecting hotel room to that… unfortunately did not sleep well from then on.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was security. It’s safe, but the key cards are so finicky they don’t work a lot of the time. Getting stuck outside the back entrance in winter in Minnesota isn’t fun. They were getting ready to replace the locks when we checked out, I’d ask how that’s going when booking.

I love the indoor pool in the center of the hotel, very old school the way hotels used to be. The pool area is the main focus of the hotel, very neat. I enjoyed the spacious seating areas, and breakfast area. My complaint was a dirty bathroom, long hair on the shower walls so it was obviously not cleaned. I think the room rate is very steep for this type of hotel! There was nothing over the top that justified a $260 night stay. Great hotel but room cleaning and rate change before I could recommend it.

Clean and quiet property in beautiful New Ulm. Decor is a little dated but functional and clean. Daily housekeeping is by request only but they did come clean on the day we requested it. Grocery store and gas station are right next door.

Average room, way overpriced because there was a festival in town. Carpet in room was damp and smelled like they had just shampooed. Dirty wash cloth Hanging in the shower. Bed was comfortable and the lady working breakfast was nice. Would recommend.

Nice sized hotel and the pool/hot tub area are great. The hot definitely needs a refresh in the rooms. Most of the staff were great and so helpful. The room keys often had issues due to a really old system but the staff were always nice in resetting them. Location was great for our needs, just hope they do some renovations to make rooms brighter, doors safer, and new carpeting/bedding!

The lady that checked us in was not informative at all. Did not mention when and where breakfast was in the morning and didn’t say much other than where our room was located. The room was clean, pillows were hard. It was a good place to rest for the night.

We visited for a wedding reception in the hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly. The staff at the reception did not keep up with the buffet line - guests from the wedding had to track them down to refill the empty serving pans. The food was not very good.

The Front Desk staff on Friday 11/24 could not have been more accommodating phenomenally positive and the nicest person ever!! I ran into a woman who was tending to rooms. I THANKED her for all of her hard work!! The staff tending to breakfast was the nicest calmest person ever!!! I thanked her several times! We had 2 rooms by the pool one was and a joined so 3 we had another across as well!! THANKS to the whole staff! Our rooms were FANTASTIC!

At check in I was told checkout was at noon. There was no mention of how to participate or avoid presumed express checkout. At a little after 8:30 am housekeeping was at our door. We told her later please. We went out for breakfast and when we came back found housekeeping in our room which had been cleaned. When we informed her we had not yet checked out she said she had not found anything we had left behind. We expressed disappointment and stated we had planned to use the bathroom again before we checked out. She agreed to our bathroom use but STAYED IN THE ROOM while bathroom was used. At checkout I talked to desk staff about my disappointment and was given their “policies” about express checkout. I believe that information should have been explained on arrival. I would not stay there again and felt it wasn’t as nice or accommodating as my last stay.

Was at this location for a seminar. unfortunately it rained so was not able to get out hiking in the area like i planned too. was a little disjointed that the restaurant (Green Mill) attached to the property had only a limited menu on a Sunday afternoon and only 1 NFL game up on all the TV's. on a Sunday afternoon, that is not how you get return biz. but, the hotel was nice for the price

Nice quiet, decent breakfast with hot options. There's is a neat latte-espresso machine that did not make espresso as part of the latte option and came out water-y, it also says a cost after selection vs a small sign would be appreciated, ended up just throwing it away, there is free coffee as well and that was good. Went to the bar that seems new to the hotel, it was also nice and had decent prices. Overall I'd say it's a good place to stay for a nice day out at the town
