Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Owatonna, MN

A typical country inn & suites, with a lovely staff! Everyone we encountered working there was friendly and helpful. There was a small, clean gym with two treadmills, an elliptical, and some weights. The breakfast had limited options (cereals, toast, juice), but we appreciated the waffles!

Indoor pool was too cold for my taste. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good and well maintained w supply. Would stay here again when in area.

This place filled in the hot tub and covered it very poorly with tile. The rooms and carpet are severely dated. The tv is not much bigger than an iPad. Power outlets are scarce and inconvenient. Breakfast was ok, but not as good as other Country Inns. The staff was friendly and coffee was good. But, I don’t think this property should be under the Radisson umbrella anymore unless it’s completely renovated, it’s been run hard and put away wet. Filling in the Hottub and covering the hole? What were you thinking?

Water took forever to get hot. Pool was closed. Heat was turned down and we couldn’t find the thermostat because it was behind the lamp and was not within view. Bed was super hard. I would not stay here again.

I checked in late in the evening and stood at the front desk for 5 minutes waiting for 2 employees to finish their con before I was acknowledged by either of them. My room was dirty - walls, bathtub, etc. It was musty and smelled of smoke - even thought it was a non smoking room. Would not recommend staying at this property.

Property has great and helpful staffing. Beds were pretty average but fairly comfortable per price point. Typical bathroom with missing caulking areas. Room is not very spacious but plenty for a typical stay. Place was clean and a great value compared to other options in the area. Would recommend

The room smelly like wet dog and the bathroom was dirty.

The air conditioning fan was loud. The room had a stale smell when you walked in. Otherwise everything else was fine.

Room was small/cramped. Nothing like the online photos. One chair for two people not very convenient. The second night the room door would not lock as we were heading out to dinner. We had to wait for over 1/2 hour for maintenance to arrive from off site. Door latch/lock had to be replaced, so we were late for our dinner reservations. Hotel definitely showing wear and tear. Needs some updating.

The WiFi was great! The TV had a problem with skipping and blurring. Breakfast was ok. Really enjoyed the afternoon cookies.

Great customer service! Kim was so kind checking us in after a long drive. Rooms are okay - just classic rooms with thin sheets. Pillows were actually okay, just the rest of the bed was standard to budget hotels (stayed in a king for reference/search purposes). Good dining options in the area. Want to call out that there is no longer a hot tub! They paved it over and it exists no more. I know Hotels.com does NOT update this info so just letting people know who are expecting it that it's been gone for a while.

The man at the front desk was super kind and calm. We had a pretty brutal storm and lots of people were checking in at the same time.

Check in and staff were friendly but some not so helpful, upon arrival our tv didn’t work called front desk they said try this, this etc after that still didn’t work. We were told sry I’m here by myself and basically deal with it. My husband pulled the very heavy dresser out and plugged in a few things and it worked. The next day we were gone most of the day when we got back the dirty towels were still piled neatly in the bathroom were still there and no clean towels were left, the trash that we bagged and left by the door was still there I’m like maybe housekeeping had not been there yet. Do again I called first I was told “well I was told you had the do not disturb sign was out” um no it’s still hanging on the inside of the door then I was told they only go into the rooms for cleaning if you are there 3 days, what? We have stayed in cheap hotels and 5 star hotels, but being how this is a hotel in basically rural Minnesota ( not being a snob we are from rural Iowa) and it was $150 per night kinda shocked about this stuff. I wasn’t expecting turn down service and a mint on my pillow just basic housekeeping. The staff that was there were pleasant but this seemed like management issues. Won’t stay there again and that’s unfortunate as we will be in that area monthly to visit our daughter

Comfortable stay. Bathroom light wasn’t working but they happily checked us into a different room.

Check in staff swiped CC when reservation was through Expedia. We have been dealing with extra charges on CC for about a week trying to get them refunded since room was paid for through Expedia, but CC was charged twice for different room amts and twice for security deposit/holds.

The reservationa ended up being in 2 names and they couldn't find the second ome but accommodated us. That part was on Expedia. The staff was great and i ce they found the second name they let us know what happened and made corrections to the bill. We will stay there again if we are in the area.

Staff was responsive and friendly. When my aunt couldn't get ahold of us on our cell phone, the sweet kitchen attendant came to our room on the 3rd floor to let us know she was in the lobby. She went above and beyond. Breakfast was excellent and served a good variety. The hotel is right off 1-35N and easy t access. Price just right.

The staff was polite, friendly and helpful. I requested a downstairs room but they upgraded at no extra charge from 1 king to 2 queens on the first floor. Breakfast was excellent with vegetarian option and with meat. This was a well run hotel in a great loction near the freeway.

It was a comfortable place to stay. Th e breakfast was good. Friendly staff. It took a long time in the morning for the water to get hot. But it did get hot eventually. We've stayed here before and we will stay here again. I guess the e l elevator wasn't working but we were on the first floor.

Everything was great except breakfast. I got milk out of the refrigerator that said it had not expired, but it was sour. Also, the waffle mix was not right, too much water or something. Eggs and juice were great. Not our usual Country Inn and Suites experience elsewhere.

The pool area had no bathroom and there were so many box elder bugs everywhere. Along windows and door were dirty. There was no juice or water available for breakfast, the dispenser wasn't working.

1st room stunk but they moved us when we requested. Complimentary breakfast was terrible and limited. They were out of yogurt the 2nd day. Hard boiled eggs were rubber, without flavor. “Smokers” sit at front entry and stink it up.

Everything was great except breakfast was supposed to go until 10:30 a.m. We got there at 10:00 and everything was shut down. We did get the girl to plug in the waffle iron but that was the only hot food we could get.
