Quality Inn Savage - Bloomington West

It’s hard entering after hours because they tell you to call to be let in the lobby but don’t provide a number to call. Bed was super comfortable. I felt safe and it had good parking. There are stairs going down to the first floor rooms and stairs going up with no elevator which makes it difficult if you have heavy or lots of luggage to haul. There was a pool and hot tub but I didn’t get to use cause it was closed by the time I got there.

Hotel very clean. Pool and spa was fantastic!!! Front desk staff amazing..only complaint was room was to warm..will stay again.

Stayed for 3 nights and had an overall good experience! The rooms and hallways were clean, the pool area was decent. The parking lot could be a bit bigger but a good place to stay.

Everything it's good, the cleaning, the breakfast was good and has variety. The only bad it's don't have elevators.

The room was okay but our microwave didn’t work. The only thing that bothered me was the pool and the hot tub. In both the water was gross to thick and murky. And the hot tub jets were so strong that the water was spraying everywhere and made it super uncomfortable

It was a fine stay. I used the hot tub in pool one time. Both were nice amenities. The water temperature of the pool was very warm and felt nice. Staff were very friendly and attentive to my needs. My room service and housekeeping was efficient and thorough. How so appreciated how quiet the hotel and other guests typically were from inside my room.

The Good: You get your money's worth. The rooms are okay. The pool and hot tub are okay. The bad: The breakfast is below basic. There is nothing about it that's "continental". The Ugly: This place apparently entertains very shady people. On my first night, there was a bunch of guys staying in a room near mine who were screaming at the top of their voices and punching walls for hours. I called reception and receuved a promise to "come check it out" but nothing ever happened. It appears this bunch is staying there long term so may continue to be a problem. There was also another guy loitering around the pool area both days I was there with a backpack and a speak, blasting loud music, drunk, and sleeping. Unclear if he was a guest at the hotel, but someone from the front desk brough him a towel even though he never used the pool or hot tub so at least that shiws he's being entertained by them. On one night, out of the blue, this guy starts talking to me saying how "you are from Africa, I am from here, you can get deported, I can not" among other things. I chose to ignore him. As someone who works in mental health, I could tell he could use some help. Glad it was only verbal, but its not all on him. Its also on the hotel putting guests at risk from such a person while probably knowing he's likely to endanger people. They also claim they're a non-smoking hotel, but cigarette butts and people smoking will greet you on your way right into the hotel. That inincludes this guy. IIf y

Everything was great, bed super comfortable. But if you have a 4 door crew cab shortox truck with 35 inch tires. The parking is very tight

Perfectly acceptable place for the price. Room could use some TLC, a few things falling apart, but it was pretty clean. A couple mysterious stains on the curtain/wall, but I trusted that the bed and linens were clean. The bathroom was very clean, too. I would recommend this stay!

Everything was perfect. Incredibly clean rooms with super comfy beds, a mini fridge, a microwave, coffee maker coffee, and a huge TV. The bathrooms were clean too and fully stocked with lots of towels and washcloths. The breakfast was amazing too. Waffles, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, cereal, muffins, toast, juice, coffee, etc. Would absolutely stay again.

Property needs work. Coffee maker, no pot. No remote for TV. No elevator. Lots of noise. Dining room very dirty, tables never cleaned.

Building was damp and so was the room It smelled I believe I it was the reason I got sick Tried to check out move hotel but couldn’t Because of third party agreement which sucked had to stay couldn’t get refunded won’t be booking like this anymore

When we checked into our room- we first noticed the dust in the room. (Pretty thick) You knew things had not been wiped down for a while. Then the TV's would not work. Staff did come right up to the room and Switch TV's around and got them to work. That night we noticed the Bathroom door would not close due to the toilet being in the way. Therefore, the door would not move past the toilet and we literally had to crawl over the toilet to get into the shower. We called the Staff, and he came up and looked at it. He told us that there was nothing he could do, that he had no maintnance people there. This is the poorest Quality Inn we have ever stayed in :(

Great service when we arrived. Clean and comfortable room. Really loved the amount of pillows on the bed. Breakfast had many options including cold and hot choices. Didn't use pool area during this stay.

This motel was very rundown, and needs a lot of upgrading.

My room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It is an older building so decor is outdated and I could hear noise from other rooms at times. They have a nice swimming pool. I had a microwave, small fridge, a safe, coffee maker, hair dryer, ironing board and iron in the room. Once again, the beds were very comfortable.

I had booked a jacuzzi room. It was a nice size room. The bed was definitely worn and the jacuzzi took over an hour to fill, also the handles were broken so getting them to work at all was tricky. Staff was kind.

Ac couldn’t cool the room.

Very tight areas and cramped like the bathrooms /shower/ toilet.

The clerk charged me twice above the price paid at Hotels.com. $100 deposit and $7.81 which he could not identify what for. Upon inspection of the room, and within three days, both charges would be refunded if there were no damages to the room. The room had worn furniture, one small hole in the wall and bathroom door and several cracked floor tiles in the bathroom. The hot tub water level was low and the jets were soft. The breakfast was good.

Great room, comfy bed, fridge & coffee maker in room, and coffee available in lobby, wifi worked great. Very good value for the money.

It was good except for the train horn all night long

It was just okay lighting is not adiquate. Rooms are very dark even under lights. Feels not energetic during the stay because of dark mode.

Management/Owner(Nancy) was very rude and inconsiderate. Every question was answered with an attitude. She told my daughter in law that she didn’t want her family to stay at her hotel(yes we are black and Nancy is Asian). I felt discriminated against. I will NEVER stay there again. That hotel needs to be off the Choice chain and shut down

Management was friendly. They accommodated our stay quickly after having a terrible experience at a previous hotel. I am extremely grateful for their services and help

My air conditioning didn’t cool my room down at all so barely got any sleep. Customer service not very good about welcoming guests to the hotel and making sure you know where/what you can do. Not very impressed

Very helpful staff at desk. We asked for an accessible room and got one just across the hall from the desk. Next to the door to the pool and just up the hall from the breakfast area. We will likely stay here again.

The guy who checked me in was very unfriendly, he didn't say much and was very snotty. Had an ugly attitude. Didn't even tell me any info about breakfast or what time the pool opened. Just pretty much stayed silent & acted like he didn't even want to be there

The hotel didn’t have hot water for 5 days. Staff always said it should be fixed today it never happened. I stayed do to a 3rd party app and I wouldn’t get my money back.

The quality of the hotel verse price was great. Had the tv not working when we got in our room the front desk came right up and got it fixed and apologized for the inconvenience also had the key card not work one night and they fixed it right away.

We chose the property to be close to Ames Center for a Dance Competition. The location was convenient and the Breakfast had a good variety. The pool was warm, actually too warm, my 7 year old got out after an hour because she was too hot. The space was functional as we only needed a place to sleep, no frills and old furniture and carpeting.

Quiet place to spend a night. Check in was quick and easy. Property is dated and needs some improvements.

We got to the property and we were not able to even stay with are kids, very unsafe, dirty, cops in parking lot, people sleeping in their vehicles, had to end up paying for a different hotel at a different location. Very disappointed.

Central location in Savage. Value priced. Heated pool. Please note there are no elevators with 3 floors. Handicapped should request 1st floor. Breakfast was well stocked and clean.

I’ve started here a couple of times. Everyone is friendly, the place is always well maintained, and it’s in a great location.

Kind of what was expected for the price but still not likely to stay again. No elevator for anyone that might need it. Also smells of stale cigarettes at least on the 3rd floor. Breakfast wasn't that great, biscuits are microwaved and no meat (at least when we got there). On a personal side note, not thrilled as a parent that my child was the only one singled out to be told not to jump in the pool when there multiple other kids doing it as well. I'm not saying that jumping in should be allowed but if you're going to correct one kid you should be correcting all the kids. The positive part of the stat was the gentleman that checked us in. Sandy was very helpful and he offered to help us to the 3rd floor with all our bags even though he had phones ringing and was the only one there at the time. He was great and the only reason I didn't give a 1 star review.

Cleaning service never came to our room once!!! The hot tub was cold and the pool was nasty. The breakfast was nasty and the common area filthy. The room was rundown and stunk. I demand a full refund!!!

The staff were courteous and the facilities were very clean. The breakfast was well stocked and satisfying.

Barely got any sleep due to air conditioner, said they had hot breakfast, like eggs and sausage it mentioned but alas no hot breakfast unless you consider a waffle maker a hot breakfast, motel 6 is better
