Great breakfasts every morning, both hot and cold items to choose from. Pool, and hot tub was nice had a sauna but we didnt use it. Pool table $1.5 and air hockey $1 games also in pool area to play. Rooms were standard rooms. Hotel was clean and service was friendly when needed.

This is my first stay at the hotel and I will definitely go back there again. Check in check out quick, efficient, easy, very clean. I love the automatic entryway doors, sauna, pool, hot tub The lobby is very very nice place to relax in as well It's all first class. It's everything you would want in hotel to relax in and I highly recommend it

It was ok. Loved the fireplace when you walk in. We got a jet tub for our room but couldn’t use it because it was dirty. Breakfast sucked. Hot tub was hardly warm. We didn’t like to room so we where only there to sleep

The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, great breakfast options, enjoyed the pool, hot hub and sauna. Wish the pool and hot tub were a bit hotter - for the pool being heated (which was my understanding) it was pretty cold. The hot tub was as hot as bath water, so the tempature could have been increased.

This hotel was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Those are the two biggest criteria I have. The breakfast was OK… Serviceable… although a bit slow at times replacing items. The staff was very nice. I would absolutely stay here again.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this hotel absolutely wonderful. Very clean, very close to shops and dining. The pool and a hot tub were great... And when we were the last ones down to breakfast, they were out of eggs and went out of their way to make us a special order which they certainly didn't have to do. Wonderful customer service... We would definitely stay there again.

Love the hotel as it was very nice and clean however,....my room was 110 on 1st floor and a busy gas station was right outside the window. All night lights flashing. We went outside and you can see in the rooms!!! A homeless man slept beside the gas station that faced our window. It was very unsettling! He was there both nights and during the day had a sign to beg for money. Never experienced a worse environment. The widows only have curtains no blinds so the only option is to close off the sun and sit in the dark. Very very unsettling

It was clean and felt safe, however the location is not the greatest. One side of the hotel overlooks the parking lot and gas station and the other side overlooks a cemetery. We had the bright and often loud (motorcycles) parking lot view. The room itself was fine- you could tell it was an old hotel that had been renovated a while back. I liked the rustic, up north decor and room fridge. The AC was really loud and we kept getting phone calls on our room phone overnight- both kept the whole family up intermittently throughout the night.

Well I didn't Like the fact that there was only 2 options of views. One was the parking lot and the other one was a Cemetery .......when it was saying that it was a lake view And it most certainly was not and the breakfast Both mornings was very nasty. Cold very watered down batter for the waffles. Sausage was half cooked.The eggs tasted weird biscuits were cold Very Disappointed for what I paid for 2 nites ......

The front desk staff was very helpful and was able to get us checked in early. We had to giggle a little bit when we opened our curtains in our room and saw the cemetery as our view. The beds weren't very comfortable, but the rooms were clean.

Our TV didn't work. Staff and the manager tried to fix it then said it was "a cable company issue". They didn't offer to call anyone. The manager informed us she was going home. When I asked for compensation she said she couldn't because I booked 3rd party. This was my daughter's birthday, Ridiculous.

The receptionist was rude and confrontational. She did not represent the property well. She scolded my grandson when we checked in that he is not allowed to use the pool without an adult present, that should have been directed to an adult not a 9 year old. Will not use this hotel in the future.

It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and a great breakfast. I paid a slightly higher price because it was called "Lakeside" which I thought meant it was near Lake Superior that was probably visible so the visiting friend I brought could enjoy. The lake was nowhere near so I think "Lakeside" simply meant "on the lake side" of the highway.

We needed a one-night stay along the North Shore. This property fit the bill for us. It was 'on' Highway 61 which is the main (only?) road that runs along the lake. But, we never heard any of the traffic. The pool/common area was on the highway side offering a noise buffer. Our stay was after Memorial Day so there were only a few other guests. This likely added to the peace and quiet. The hot breakfast was a plus. Instead of the typical unseasoned scrambled eggs, mini-omlettes were the egg offering. These had some peppers in them and were very tasty. The sausages, waffles, toasted breads and refrigerated completed it. The variety I enjoyed were all tasty. We booked a room with two queen beds. This allowed my wife to choose which she would like. She said that the bed was comfortable and that she slept well. All in all, this was a very enjoyable stay. We will definately include this property if our travels bring us back to this part of the state.
