The said the pool wasn’t working because of a coil. Then they cemented the hot tub up. The sink had some cracks on it. The carpet was a little torn by the door going into the room. They said they will give you a key to a different place to go use the pool there. We use to like going to this place because it was nice. Now we are going to find a different place to stay.

This motel was booked primarily because its the only motel in town with a pool. Unfortunately, the pool and hot tub were not available, they were down for repairs and have been for several months with no date determined for when they expect the repairs to be complete. The facility does not offer refunds, period. Even when we requested a refund prior to arrival, when we found out the pool would be unavailable, they were absolutely unwilling to give a refund. Room was not very clean. Toilet had elongated seat on round bowl. Room needed paint and updating.

The hotel seemed very clean! From the room, to the main area by the front desk, the pool area and the breakfast area. They do not have a hot tub at this location, but they do have a pool that was very warm and a sauna. They had lifejackets for kids and a floaty for my toddler son to use. They only negative from this place was the ceiling in the bathroom. Could use an update for sure. Some water damage. There was not a ceiling fan in the bathroom so I could see why the ceiling was a little grubby above the shower. That was a minor thing. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and the hotel staff was very friendly.

Our room was very clean. Would have liked to have the hottub & you can tell where it use to be but....we tried to light the firepit out front but it wouldn't start, which was disappointing but still a nice area to sit outside. Breakfast was great! Nice to have something other than cereal & toast!

The lobby and public areas are very nice and updated, clean and comfortable. Staff was very kind and helpful and cheerful. We didn't use the pool or sauna, they were pretty busy but looked like a nice area. Disappointed that the hot tub is still not working, I'm not sure how they can get by with this as the only real hotel in the area and it's a known brand. Would've loved to use one. The room was nice, little outdated bathroom and the hair dryer for sure needs some help. Fell off the wall a lot and just doesn't have good power. Love the Dove products and the shower was nice. No microwave in the room. TV was smaller and remote wasn't very easy to use. The bed was pretty comfortable for us. Temps were easy to control. A few yucky looking things on the wall that could be cleaned off but otherwise pretty clean in the room. Breakfast was pretty good, no waffle machines but they had toaster waffles that were very rich and tasty. Coffee was very good. Fun town to visit, went to the distillery and highly recommend it!

. We were in town for a horse barrel race. I was very happy with how clean everything was from our room to the lobby. The front desk people were amazing and very helpful. I will stay here again in the future. They are also a pet friendly place.

The mattress was like a dish bowl and no support. It takes 2 remotes to run the tv and no instructions on how to run it. It's rediculous to have to use 2 remotes not helpfull for non tech savy people. Front desk person came to our room the next morning and spent 20 min to finally get it to work. The room was ice cold when we got there.

Friendly staff. We were able to check in early. The room was spacious but the bathroom was not and there was no fan. We had only one bath towel but we’re able to get another. There was conditioner but no shampoo. A coffee maker but no pot. The mini fridge was so small to be almost useless. There was more than adequate room for a usable one. The lighting was poor. Overall it’s a decent place but a little pricey. The overall design wasn’t well thought out.

Check in was frustrating. The woman working the front desk seemed confused that the two rooms I booked had already been paid for. The key card system was not working so we couldn’t get back into our room without assistance. Remote for tv didn’t work. At least our stay was simply to sleep.

The locks did not work for our stay, we were not given keys and had to keep our room door ajar to be able to gain re-entry. We had a pull out couch, not extra bedding in the room and they seemed rather anointed when we asked for some. Hot tub did not work. Phone in room did not work so you couldn’t call the desk. I have immobility issues so this was t easy, especially being one of the farthest rooms from the desk. The phone was bitterly not plugged it to anything. No cords to or from. Nothing but a decoration piece. I had asked to changed my reservation because I was getting in later then expected and they refused. I think this is pretty ironic seeing there were so many issues, and concerns for safety at the time. We usually come up and stay there a few times a year but this was just awful and how they would work with us even though they couldn’t lock their own doors. We should have been notified of this prior to our arrival and been asked if we wanted to cancel or change dates. Not super convenient to have to take everything with you each time y oh leave the room in case some random person would walk in.

Sink was cracked up and had no stopper, so the sink could be filled up. There was confusion while checking in. I had pre registered and filled in all of my bank card information. According to the website, all I had to do when I got there was to pick up my keys. When we arrived I was told that you did not have my banking info. Bottom line, my son, Gerald R. Olin ended up paying the bill and my card should show no charges. I am very concerned that we may be billed twice. Once on his card and on mine, as well.

Not the best. Made reservations almost a year ago & asked for main floor room, my husband has trouble climbing stairs. Got there & had to go upstairs. They told me I should have requested lower floor when reserving. I said I did, but no one knew anything. They charged me twice & I’m not sure if it’s been corrected yet. Then we came back the 2nd night & keys wouldn’t work, had to go back downstairs & get fixed. Breakfast was not good either. We liked the motel, but will probably not stay there again. Can’t take chance of being upstairs again.

We asked to change to a room with a refrigerator as we were traveling with food. The hotel was very accommodating and the new room was exactly what we hoped for in every regard. The location was great and we will definitely stay here again.

It was a good stay. The facility is showing its age but is pretty well kept. It's obviously not a resort, but if you need a place to stay a few nights, it's clean, quiet and comfortable. There are not a lot of choices around the Wadena area. We were satisfied and are repeat customers.

We arrived later at night, having just made our reservation in the parking lot! The desk staff was welcoming, and we were in our room and fast asleep in a half an hour. The hotel was clean and did not smell of smoke! The breakfast was surprising! I had seen a waffle maker online in the pictures and assumed we would have coffee and a hot waffle. to my surprise, there was also eggs, sausage, bagels, and bread to toast, assorted, specialty, yogurts, fruit, as well as all the other usual breakfast items. Thank you so much. We had been on the road for over 16 hours and it was a haven.
