Precious Hotel

The carpets were dirty and there was trash in the room. But the worst part was seeing where the doors to other rooms had broken locks and been busted in to.

Was disappointed that the pool wasn't open the whole weekend. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. The front desk lady was helpful in making suggestions on things to do.

Elevator, pool, vending machines all out of order. Our “clean” room had someone else’s trash in the trash cans and a fake eyelash on the sink. Had to wait 30 minutes for breakfast food to be replenished and didn’t have anything to drink since they never refilled any of them. Our tv didn’t work and the keycards either didn’t work or you had to try 10 times to get it work. Won’t be staying here again.

Room cleanliness was very good: hallway carpets needed vaccuming. Elevator out of service.

Lots of things out of order! The pool and elevator were both out of order.

Premium wify only worked in lobby or breakfast room. Did not work in our room. Fitness center out of service. Broken glass on one front door, also broken glass on one mid way glass exit door. Hot breakfast was not available Sat and Sunday during our 4 night stay. Spent $40.00 on breakfast else ware. Ist day of breakfast, attendant had to be told coffee and milk for cereal were empty. Waffle maker out of order. Orange juice dispenser not working. Only regular coffee available,no decaf. After two days of no breakfast, no forks available and no napkins availabe. Walmart on half a mile away. Over all, I am surprized that Choice hotels would claim this as theirs.

This property is outdated and over priced. Pool was absolutely disgusting and it appeared most of the people staying were full time residents along with the staff. Will never stay here again or recommend this hotel.

Staff inexperienced with Hotels.com. Wanted us to pay more money because they can’t see reservation. Older facility is ok shape. Toilet didn’t work. Room had 1 small trash can. Room was stocked with towels for 1 person. Door leasing outside at back of hotel was not lock or latched. No forks for breat…. Eating waffles with a spoon was fun!

Things are falling apart. Breakfast non-existent almost. Elevator broke.

Doors didn't lock to outside. Carpet had burns all over in the room. Hall and room didn’t have a good smell.

This has got to be the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Stains on the sheet and comforter, dirty floors, just awful.

Musty and dingy, bugs(roaches) in the sheets in the bed, suppose to refund the room but hasn't.

Place is kinda run down but seemed clean until I saw a roach in the bathroom sink.

Halls smelled like smoke and pot and the overall appearance of the place was old, worn down and unclean.

Not a clean hotel. We stayed here with my son’s baseball team. Toe nails on the carpet, poor lighting (several lightbulbs not in lamps), TV had no remote and no way to watch it. We asked the front desk to fix those things and although they said they would, nothing was accommodated. During checkout, I told the front desk of our experience and she was going to try and give us a discount. We will see with our billing. Plenty of other hotels to choose from.

The entire hotel smells of mold. Our room smelled damp and musty. The staff was very rude and unfriendly. They would not help me get my money back even though we did not end up staying at the property. We left after only 20 minutes due to health concerns with the mold smell. Everything is outdated and not well maintained.

Our room was filthy. Switched rooms and it smelled like body odour in the room and a burrito was still in the microwave.

The rooms were very smelly, they had a strong cigarette smell.

Our air conditioning unit sounded like a jackhammer and the tv didn’t work, not to mention the 3 trips back to the front desk before we were able to get a room key to work. At 4pm, we asked for a different room and were informed that one wouldn’t be available until 8pm. We then asked for a refund so that we could find a different hotel. We were told that because of the way we made our reservation, (we used Expedia), that we were unable to cancel our reservation. We left the hotel to shop and have dinner since because of the noise of the air conditioner we were unable to stay in the room. When we returned at 7:45pm we were given a different room, but not with 2 queen sized beds, we got 1 king sized. At least the tv and air conditioning were working properly. The clerk was very nice but the 4 hour wait for a useable room was unacceptable. I will NEVER stay at this facility again. It was dumpy and severely need some updating.

The place is old and run down. The bed was horrible. It was dirty and needed replaced.

Young lady working front desk was very pleasant and very polite. Older property Room was clean A/C worked well Shower water pressure was great Good selection of TV Channels Hot breakfast with eggs, bacon and biscuits & gravy WiFi did not work very well

I read reviews that mentioned the same problem I had... The TV in the room does not work and the front desk didn't seem too concerned about helping resolve the situation. The room was clean and quiet, but it would have been nice to be able to unwind and watch some TV

Who has cable tv anymore? It went out more than once of my multiple day stay. Carpets need replacing and repainting is needed especially down the hallways. Hot breakfast is great with an assortment of breads and juices. Area is excellent around the property, plenty of area to take your dogs out, they are dog friendly. I have stayed at this property many times in the past years when it was Preacious Moments, first time as Quality Inn. They have some work to do but still a nice stay. Price could have been better but that is all. Enjoy the heated indoor pool while you are there.

Right off the start I wasn’t able to get into room because the door latch doesn’t work right. They did show me the trick of pulling up on latch to get cars to activate it. Than I went to turn on tv and that didn’t work cause it was missing the cable box. The room I got was next to the exit door which didn’t close slowly but slammed shut making huge noise in my room all night with people coming and going.

Hotel was convenient for my stay and for the money was okay. Bathtub faucet dripped, drapes were worn and not all attached light bulbs missing from lamps.

Definitely an older hotel, beds uncomfortable and old as well.

The room itself was clean but i had to unplug the refrigerator in the room. It was so loud could not relax. I had to hold the handle up on the door knob to get the key door to work. The worker came down to show me this. Then it still took multiple trys. No coffee except when breakfast was served. No OJ. Had to ask them to refill. Then it was an orange drink not OJ. Eggs were bland and tasted old. Watched the worker put cereal in the cereal containers that said Kelloggs cereal but the bags were not Kelloggs it said Hospitality on all of them. Staff were friendly and helpful. Carpet in the hallways were in desperate need of a vacuum.

Where do I begin? I tried to check in early. No big deal that we couldn’t, but was given the reason that none of the rooms were clean….at 2:30pm. Ok. Went back a good 30-45 minutes after the check in time of 4pm, was told all the rooms were still dirty. The desk clerk had to go check each room to make sure it was clean before she could check someone in. Ok. But then she tried to give us a king for 4 people instead of two queens. She did fix that, after going to check yet another room (we were on a time crunch with activities we were doing). The room wasn’t terrible. The hallway (paint splotches and carpet with lumps in it) and the foyer (cracked door glass) was in terrible shape. Our friends had different rooms with conditions that weren’t great (missing a phone cord, no mirror, wanted 2 queens and got a king with a pullout that didn’t work). Then breakfast, at 7:30 they were out of biscuits and gravy and basically told tough luck. Our room key wouldn’t work multiple times. We joked that it was good for one use only. There were old room keys still on the counter when we were checking in and they were still there when we checked out in the morning. At checkout, I almost lost what little breakfast I had due to the fact that the clerk was chewing chaw and had a clear bottle he was spitting it in sitting next to him. He never once stood up to greet us. Therefore you had to look down at the check at the chaw spit! I can go on, but I am out of the allowed characters

Checking in took 20 minutes. We were second in line. We then went to what was to be our room but once entering saw that it was occupied by active guests. Then had to wait another 10 minutes for a new room.

Room was ok….but front desk staff was difficult and seemed to not understand that we booked online. then wanted to charge me again and took 45 minutes to finally get a room. Then ten minutes after checking in staff walked in are room without knocking still don’t know why. Breakfast was ok. Hoping this is not a normal thing for this place.

Worst check in experience I've had. Took over an hour to get to my room . Cllerk litterally assigned me the wrong type of ropm twice, one of which was not even a rpom! Finally hot it right on third try but key card didn't work. Once I got into ropm it was dated and worn wich I expected. I didn't expect someone else trying to get into the room two hours later. I guess she had fsiled to mark that she had put me in that room.. Obviously facility is beyond its prime but it wad the lack pf traininh and ignotance of staff checking me im that made this stay unpleasant!

When I entered the lobby, I first noted how the building wasn’t nearly as nice as the hotels.com pics showed. At check in, they told me my card was declined for incidentals. Knowing there should be no issue, I gave them another. Same response. I had to call my credit card company on speaker phone to prove my card had no issues. I should have known things weren’t going to be good with this start. No TV box or remote in my room and the coffee maker was missing the coffee holder. I called the front desk and they said someone would be there in 10 minutes. 45 minutes later, I walked to the desk and they said someone would be there soon. By the time they finally arrived and said they’d have to go find a TV box, I told them to forget it. My hotel keys were also so recycled and scratched, it took 5-6 tries to get into my room every time I tried. In reality, I think I’m due a refund!

The front desk guy was different but got us checked in and out quickly.

We stay here once a year for a swim meet and it seems like this property is on the decline. It was dirtier than it has been in the past, with crumbs and mud on the stairway. Also, our rooms did not have towels or shampoo. I had to ask 3 times for towels. They did not have any shampoo, but did go to Walmart and buy some. The staff was very helpful and friendly, but I felt like they were not able to keep up with the demands of such a large hotel. I am not sure we will stay here in the future.

The set of towels in the room was incomplete, as was my friends in another room and a lady that shouted for towels down the hall. We finally got a full set late afternoon of day 1. The tissue box was empty and the rooms were not cleaned. At checkout, I asked for a receipt but the printer was broken. She said she would email it but i still have not gotten it.

Had a reservation, got there & they had filled all thr rooms. Receptionist was extremely rude & cussed at myself & numerous others. Refused to get manager

The staff was really nice. We enjoyed our stay. We liked that they were so close to the civil war re-enactment.

We've been staying at this hotel on and off for more than the past 10 years. Since our last visit in 2021, it looks like the parent company has completely forgotten about this hotel. The facility is woefully understaffed, and the rooms are long overdue for freshening. The complimentary breakfast was inedible. There's existing tarped roof damage from a summer storm that faces the street. This unsightliness further lends to the tired appearance of the facility. We have always really enjoyed staying at this hotel as it is at a very convenient halfway point to our destination and we really like the hotel staff. We sincerely hope the owners will take critiques like this to heart and save the hotel while it is still worth saving.

The room was clean. There were no bugs. The lobby and pool area were clean. The hallway by the rooms was kinda dirty. Carpet was old and dirty. One room apparently was broken into. Dont know why. Might be people living in the hotel? Breakfast was typical hotel Breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, bagels etc. The orange juice was empty and never refilled. It was fine for a night on the road. Front desk clerk was super friendly.

Good location

Upside: Our daughter had a softball tournament in Carthage and the hotel was 3-4 minutes from the fields. It was also close to several restaurants and stores. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Hotel was kept very clean. Downside: The door to our first room would not catch and lock so we asked to change rooms. We were then in a room that smelled like smoke. In this room, the light over the bathroom sink did not work. The key card readers are very old and some times we had to try our cards over 6-7 times before the key card reader flashed green. This is an older hotel and in need of some up keep, but over all it is a better stay than a worse stay. Would we stay there again?? Yes!

There was an easy access parking garage, there was alot of road construction. The coffee shop down the road from hotel was amazing. Parking was horrible getting to though.

Property was run down but the staff was great. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean. The hotel was easy to find and in a safe place.

This was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The only nice thing about it was the super sweet night clerk. The pool was closed, there was no hot water, they were so short on key cards that they could only issue 1 per room and in our case, we got 1 key for the first room and our second room had to be opened with the master key, though they later found one and brought it to us, the bedding on one of the queens was dirty, breakfast for the entire hotel consisted of 4 bagels, 3 slices of bread, cereal with no milk, and coffee that left half an inch of grounds in our cups, our keys quit working each time we left our rooms, the carpets were strained and worn through in many places. The guy who claimed to be the manager at one point blamed us and said it's an old hotel with old keys, claiming we were demagnetizing them by putting the cards near our phones. After that, we kept our phones and cards separate, but the keys continued to fail. We were blamed for the lack of hot water, supposed management said we didn't allow the water to run long enough. We tried running the water longer, but it still didn't work. Staff said I had been informed at check-in that there was no breakfast, but I don't remember that. The guy claiming to be manager tried bargaining with us to give him a good review (at least 4 or 5 stars) and he would give us a 50% discount on additional nights during this stay. I couldn't do that. There is more to say, but I'm out of characters.

Did not get the room I reserved- Got confirmation on king with walk in shower and got a room with 2 queen and bathtub with handicap shower. There were no towels or bathroom amenities. Had a coffee pot but no coffee or tea. Around 10:00 pm someone knocks on our door and says we aren’t registered He was the same gentleman who was standing in the back of the desk when we were being checked in. and In the morning, full breakfast was a bowel of cereal and warm coffee. In fact there was a sign saying cereal only.

A/c in the room worked well, but the lobby and halls did not and were hot. Fridge needed defrosting, toilet was child height and difficult for seniors to use. Tissue dispenser was empty, breakfast area was non functional, smoking area was right next to entrance so you have to endure the stink when unloading. Large SUV was parked in front of entrance during the three days we were there probably because it was the only shaded area. Door card had to be reprogrammed the last day. People at the desk were nice and pleasant. Beds slept well but were quite high and a little hard to get into. TV worked well but chair was worn and uncomfortable. Overall for the price paid we were disappointed and will not be staying there again.

The hot breakfast had burned omelets (black) and other stuff looked nasty.

No biscuits , eggs, bacon , orange juice or milk at 8:30 . And waffle iron had burnt waffle stuck in it and the worker said to close it and it will dry out . 15 minutes later she still had not cleaned it ! But did bring out some bacon .

This hotel didn't measure up to other Comfort Inns we have stayed.Neither key opened door. Manager came and had trouble also. We got inside eager to relax after a long day of travel only to descover the toilet was left with tissue inside. Toilet did not flush. Moved us across the hall. Inside we found no hand soap,coffee cups and parcel candy in made up bed. Towel with a huge hole. Breakfast was subpar. Cereal but no milk,no juice or fruit.Bagels and muffins were stale To say eggs and sausage were not t to eat is an understatement. Housekeeping is very lacking. FRONT DESK workers nice. Disappointed!!

The elevator was not in service during the entire week of our visit. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean. In our past stays at this location breakfast was excellent. However, this time the only good things were the waffles, juice and coffee.
