Well, they put us in the first room by the lobby. The overnight workers continue to carry on a very loud conversation laughing and joking, waking us up at times on several nights. The beds were extremely hard. The breakfast was excellent the room space was excellent and the people were friendly staying there the, employees were more concerned with the conversation amongst themselves then tending to guests. Customer service was not very good. However I would stay here again just not in the first room and hopefully the elevator will be working. The only ice machine is on the second floor in the elevator was broke the entire time and talking to other people staying there long-term it had been broke for over a month.

First, the bad. Pool was unavailable because of an issue with the gate. Staff said it was 'locking people in'. Room was not as clean as I'd like and the shower drain was nearly non-functional. The good; room was quite, staff was kind & breakfast was top notch.

In process of renovations. I'm sure it will be great when it's done. Super busy area.

Informed when I checked that the elevator was not operating, and that card scanner on door closest to the stairs to the third floor room was also inoperable. There was a very long thick black hair hanging over the tub, hair in the hand towel, and what appeared to be dog hair around the base of the bed platform. The room A/C worked well and the hotel was quiet and location convenient to I-55 and has restaurants on both sides within 50 yards.

Paid full price for a hotel that had a broken elevator you couldn’t use and a pool out of commission. My room had patch work all over the walls from repairs. Overall cleanliness of room was good.

The elevator was down and we took the stairs to 3 rd floor room. Coming down steps, stairwell dark my husband twice missed the bottom step! Luckily he didn t fall. We recommend safety tape on the edge of the steps before each landing.

We stayed 2 nights. Our room didn't smell very clean when we got there. My kids socks were literally black from walking around the room because the floor was so filthy. The walls were filthy. I never once saw a cleaning person. There was a garbage can located by the elevator on the first floor that was constantly overflowing. There was trash on the floor by one of the exits that was there during our entire stay. The outdoor pool was filthy, no maintenance to clean it. There was a room on our floor taped off with caution tape and duck tape around the entire door... assuming they were treating for bed bugs.

Chleo was a excellent Desk Clerk. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. She mad our stay enjoyable. Sad pool was closed.

Breakfast was late being put out. Elevator was out of service. Room was clean and comfortable and front desk person was very nice.

The elevator was broken and we were on the 3rd floor. The pool was fine for the kids but the lock to get into the outside pool was not working so anyone could have come and used it. Carpet in the hallways were stained and dirty. The breakfast was decent. Would not stay there again.

The room was awful. Stained and gross bead linens, and the bed was damp. Dirty walls and floor, tub full of hairs. But the piece that threw it over for me was the dirty wet towel hanging up behind the bathroom door.

Found blood in two spots in the bathroom, floors were a mess, and hallways were very dirty. Never again!!!

This was a very nice place to stay. Very clean.

Clean room

I hate leaving bad reviews, but this was just not a great stay. There were blood stains on the bed sheets and tons of hair and balls of dirt on the floor. we stayed for 4 nights and never had house keeping come. Towels had hair in them, shower was run down, and breakfast was not great. Overall not a great stay. Really glad they were dog friendly but have stayed in nicer spots that were also dog friendly.

Room was great except the room card took forever to work on the door and one bed , every time you moved the bed would squeak . The noise was very bad , had some fighting next door to me yelling and hitting the walls until 3 in the morning and the noise outside was loud right by the window. If you had a room up higher would be better .

The place was great. It was clean. How ever the stay was horrible. Our room was right beside the maintenance room an all we heard all hours being there was humming so loud we couldn’t none sleep. At some points in the middle of the night it would get so loud. Caused me to have a horrible headache the next day with the lack of sleep

Average at best. Gave 3 stars due to the assist with a fan… Started in one room and quickly realized that the air conditioning was not working properly via the smell and inability to meet its setpoint and the humidity increase in the room. Moved to adjacent room and encountered same issue with air conditioning unit, minus an odd smell. Hotel staff did bring a fan and advised me of how to clean the air conditioning unit… to be more than fair, the maintenance guy offered to come in but I declined as my family and I were in lounging mode/dress. Bedding isn’t the best, shower water pressure is OK, and the restroom should have been cleaned better. This rating should be 2-2.5 stars for overall clean/amenities/shower/ambiance/surrounding space.

The bed was absolutely horrible. It was broke down on both sides and high in the middle i cant believe the maid service couldnt see how bad it was

The mattress was terrible. It’s one of those that when you lay down, you just roll to the center of the bed.

The bed are super comfortable which was a plus! The property is clean and staffs are very nice. unfurtenaly, we were assigned the room right accross from the laundry room and the noise in the laundry room started before 6am. If you get this room, do yourself a favor and request to change your room. The breakfast was good, but it needs more variety. Thank you!

I went to use a towel after showering, unrolled the towel and someone had wiped their behind with it. It was a huge plop of feces on the towel. I told the lady at the front desk who offered no apologies but told me she would let housekeeping know. Hopefully i can leave pictures with this rating. You can clearly see the fibers of the towel matted together so its not just a stain on the towel. I sent a picture to the hotel corporate office and have heard nothing back

Had to wait awhile in line. Once up to the counter they realized i had checked in online and simply handed me my room key. A simple "has anyone already checked in online" could've saved me 15 minutes and cleared the line quicker.

Fantastic service from all employees

Chris was very nice and helpful. Our problem was the a/c didn’t work in our room and it was like a sauna in there. Chris did move us to another room, but that one wasn’t much better. Still hot in there. For a room that cost over $100 a night in Festus, MO, I would expect better

Hotel checked us into a room. We entered the room to find it was already occupied. We went back to the desk. They offered us a refund and another room. We went to the second room and found that one was occupied as well. After that, we left and did not stay

I liked the property because the staff were very welcoming. I have been to many hotels where people are just there for a paycheck and I didn’t feel that at all at La Quinta. I was greeted warmly, no matter what time of day I approached the counter. I did have some mild complaints and questions, which the staff addressed promptly. I also had a gentleman by the name of John, who was serving Continental breakfast and they were out of biscuits and this man went in the back and made me biscuits so I could have it with my gravy. Very friendly and professional made a big difference in my stay. What I did not like is in the room that I was in on the second floor. The room appeared clean, but there was a random smudge in the middle of my bathroom mirror, which seemed really out of place. I made comment to the front hotel staff who took care of it when I left the following morning for errands. My other complaint, was that my sink water would run brown. This scared me, the front desk told me that when it rains or storms heavy in the area that there is sediment at the bottom of the water tank. So I just let the water run a couple extra minutes until it stops being brown. My last complaint about La Quinta was that despite the housekeeping refreshing my room for the mirror incident they did not sweep or mop my floor. Do not go, barefoot in the hotels always have socks or slippers on in your room. Floors irritated the soles of my feet.

Large shopping area and ease of travel.

Front desk was nice. There was a used bar of soap sitting in the shower when I got there. I just threw it away. There’s lots of food places within walking distance. There are homeless ppl living in cars across the street. They didn’t bother anyone from what I could see. Carpet could use a good cleaning. But I would stay again.

Easy access to Interstate. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Facility was clean and felt like it was in a safe area. Several options for dining nearby.

This hotel was disappointing, at best. The elevators are not working, so we had to take the stairs to and from our 3rd floor room. The stairwell reeked of cigarette smoke. The room smelled extremely musty. The a/c did not keep the room cool and we slept terribly due to the humidity in the room. The bed pillows were smaller than the throw pillows on my sofa. And the eggs in the breakfast room were very watery. We ended walking across the street to eat breakfast at Panera. We are pretty easygoing people and are typically very gracious. But, for the price, and the ratings, we expected much better quality accomodations. On a positive note, while smelly, the room was clean and we were happy to get a hot shower.

Truly amazed by the speed of check-in. The clerk on duty had her paperwork all ready, spread out on a desk. She seemed to guess which guest I was and just handed over the document to initial. Perfect efficiency! Also, she was pleasant. The lobby, stairs and hallways had been recently upgraded. Room too, although the metal trim needed paint still (other guests had chipped it). That's minor. Standard-issue eggs/sausage/waffle breakfast BUT with the addition of excellent cookies and an orange.

Breakfast by John was fabulous! Tons of variety, super stocked and clean. Yum. He was great and so friendly. Rooms clean and nice. A little hot since ventilation didnt seem to work properly. Not a deal breaker. Fairly small hotel and no indoor pool. But easy on/off expressway. Would go again.
