Other than being over charged for room the indoor pool and hot tub are still not open they keep saying they are working on it. Rooms should be cheaper if you cant access them ,people pay to stay in hotels with pool access.

Desperately needs repair and maintenance. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and tried to do everything herself, including manning the front desk and pruning the shrubs in the parking lot. There was damage on the walls, furniture, and wall accessories. The shower had a narrow stream of water. The hot tub was broken. And the swimming pool was full of bubbles that made us afraid of going in. When I went for coffee at 6 AM, The person on duty at the front desk was sleeping in front of the security monitors. The side door, which should have been accessible by key only, was open to anyone who pulled the handle.

the pool was closed for maintenance and we were not advised until we tried to use . the hallways had a strong pot smell and FD was never available so I just left a note with my key stating I was checking out after calling FD 5 times . we only booked this location because there was a pool , site stated breakfast and was not provided or offered only old coffee and hot juice ,the key to enter the building did not work on the door and we had to walk to the front each time we needed to get in no apologies for the inconvience

Unfortunately I was staying for a couple of days and one of those days I planned on spending at their beautiful pool but the pool was closed and it appears to have been closed "due to a maintenance issue" for quite some time yet they still advertise having a pool. The hot tub also closed down but I thought it was fine as I got a room with a hot tub.. except it was a 1 person jacuzzi in which the jets barely worked. The "free breakfast" consisted of apple or orange juice. Towels were old and scratchy. When we asked for additional towels we were given a stack of hand towels. Many of the outside doors' key pads were broke and the staff wasn't rude but pretty indifferent. Again, an ok place to stay the night if passing through but I wouldn't recommend beyond that.

Our room was dingy and it looked like it was barely cleaned. The toilet and sink were still dirty with hair everywhere. There were holes in the lamps, sheets, comforter, and carpet. The room had a smell of smoke or chemical or something that burned the nostrils. The pool was not in service and looked like it had been that way for quite awhile. When we left at 7 am there was a plunger and a bag of towels outside our door, which may or may not have been clean. We didn't look. Our room key stopped working and it took 20 plus minutes for anyone to come back to the front desk. The outer door security lock where we entered in the back was not operational so anyone could come in at any time.

I dont know how they got this rating the room had ugly old bedding carpets werent vaccumed we had to change rooms due to tge air not working and bathtub didnt have hot water. They had no breakfast and tgeir pool was out of commission we wouldnt of got this room unrefundable. I always get complimentary breakfastat every hotel i stay in and with tge midwest heat we really wanted a dipnin tye pool

I've stayed at this location MANY times, but this was my LAST TIME! When I was there in 2023 the pool was not open for an unknown reason. Again, this year the pool was still closed (full of water, but not able to use it). When we arrived, there were a few "shady" characters hanging around the property (it was the same scenario last year). One couple got into a shouting match. The first room they gave us was completely torn apart; mattresses askew on the frames, headboards off the wall -- it was crazy. When I went back to the desk to ask for another room, I asked to be put on the top floor to avoid all the noise and commotion; was told we would be in a room with no occupants near us. Just a few minutes after settling into our room we hear guests arrive in the room right next to us ... thankfully they were quiet. There was only one regular and one decaf coffee pack (for a double occupancy room). The lobby staff was nice, but dressed like bums (very unprofessional). As I stated earlier; I will not stay at this hotel again ... I'll book a room at one of the hotels in Kingdom City from now on.

The pool was shut down and there was no breakfast. The front desk clerk told us that the owner was out getting breakfast. After a half an hour we asked where he was and she then told us hes in bed and doesnt get up till 9. I booked this stay because of the breakfast and pool and i didnt get either.

The outside doors coming in were broken and did not require a key at all. Did not feel safe. Had to go buy my own blanket because the comforter was very worn and had cigarette burns in them.

There was cockroaches and spiders in both my rooms

Room was dirty with roaches, bed had bed bugs. Terrible experience. Will never go back there again

We ended up leaving. The sheets were stained, the mirror was broken, the carpet was not clean, the tv didn't work. I decided not to stay once I found roaches near the sink. The attendant on duty was unable to help, but said he would request a refund. I reached out to the manager and have not heard anything back. Most likely won't get a refund. I would look for another hotel before staying here.

Upon arrival we could not open the door to our room. Staff said it was janky and had to accompany us and show us how to get the door open. The janky door felt unsafe. The room was musty and unclean. The sheets had holes in them.

I got bites from bed bugs on my arms back shoulders legs. Had them clean room and change all of bedding but more bites showed up on night two. I want a refund .

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The shower head was literally held on with zip ties and looked like it came out of a motorhome from the 80s. The carpet was so dirty it left our socks black. On top of that, the plumbing was incredibly loud—you could hear every time anyone in the building used their bathroom, day or night. It made it nearly impossible to relax or get a decent night’s sleep. I realize it was the only hotel in town, so we were hopeful it might be a hidden gem—but unfortunately, that was not the case. Definitely would not stay here again.

You get what you pay for. The room smelled of mold and bleach and the carpet was soaking wet.

We didn't realize until the morning because we stopped after midnight and we just wanted to rest. It was a horrible feeling in the morning. We got out of there as quickly as we could.

It was fine. I just needed place to sleep, not much time spent at hotel. I had dirty towels upon arrival, staff did great at replacing them. Sink was dirty, just looked like it wasn’t cleaned up properly.

Do not stay here! The room was dirty, sheets were stained and there were roaches in the room. We left and the manager would not refund my money.

Took15 minutes to check in computer wasn’t working right. Room only had one towel. Smoke detector was missing its battery. Lights in the bathroom and over the sink didn’t work. Chair was broken. They gouged us with the price because Mizzou game drove up demand. No way was this worth what we paid.

Old carpet, bedding, towels etc. and worn out. Broken bathroom heater. Broken shower regulator (couldn’t adjust the water temperature). The fire alarm went off because of the steam from shower. No breakfast.

Toilet was plugged when we arrived.

This property was disgusting. Questionable people hanging around the parking lot. Shower had a hose not a shower head…

My room did not have a remote for the TV. I made the front desk aware of this around 4 PM, and then reminded them a couple more times. I went to front desk at 7:20, and front desk clerk acted like it had slipped his mind. He went through a drawer of remotes, trying to find the correct one and one with batteries. He went to my room and programmed remote, only to discover that volume did not work, and that the only way to hear TV was to sit in a chair less than 4 feet from TV. He offered to move me to another room, which I did not want to do at 7:30 PM. At around 10 PM, I wanted to take a jacuzzi, only to discover the jacuzzi function of the tub did not work. I wasn't going to make a deal of it then, as it took 3 1/2 hours to get a remote for the TV. I went to leave at 7 in the morning, and I took luggage to car, and came back to get my cooler and take my meds in the room, only to find my key did not work in door, and had to return to front desk to have it reprogrammed. Finally, this was second year in a row I stayed here for college alumni weekend, and second year in a row that the pool was not available, something to do with pool pump. I made front desk clerk aware of all these problems upon checkout, but no attempt was made to satisfy me. I would think that paying a premium price for a jacuzzi room, in a facility with a pool, on a weekend with premium prices for alumni weekend; that some type of refund would be offered. Not satisfied with room or service.

He came up to get us a different room but after checking several had to go back downstairs & re-evaluate where he could put us. The cleaning gal was finishing up a room so we ended up in that one. He was great but why rooms were still getting cleaned at 7pm is baffling. Poor employees is my guess. The room was clean, but it is a very outdated hotel & the towels look & felt like they were 20 yrs old. The price was cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. Pool wasn’t an option & don’t expect breakfast…

At check-in find they don't have king room I reserved. Change to room with 2 full size beds. Go to shower there was no hot water. Turn on t.v. cable doesn't work. At 1a.m. go to front desk and am told "Oh, let me switch you because we haven't had complaints in other room. Absolutely awful...avoid at all costs!!!

It could have been better. The owner needs to fix lots of things in probably all of the rooms.

It was bad. The front desk computer was super slow, the pool was not available or cleaned. Our hottub had a crack in it. The safe did not work, the TV remote had no batteries and staff had none at the front desk. The shower had no shower curtain and the little vanity had a sharp under shelf that cut my leg. There were three small very small pillows on the bed for two people and not nearly enough towels for using the hottub and showering. Overall it gets a 4 out of 10. 2 points for bed quality and 2 points for the hottub.

Overnight staff was very friendly helpful and accommodating unlike the day staff person who was rude looked like he was high and just did not look like he knew what he was doing and was overwhelmed.

Stayed here twice. Not the most up to date facility. Toilet ran constantly tv remote did not control the tv. Asked for help and was told that’s the way it is. Figured out how to program the remote myself owner was very rude to a person who was new at the job. They charge a $50 deposit first time it was returned. Maybe because I had a future reservation second time it was not returned. I was passing through the area and stopped to inquire about the deposit. I was told there were stained towels which was not true. Then I was told the deposit was returned but it was not then the clerk told me not to get mad at them. The owner will find any reason to keep the deposit. Do yourself a favor a stay at the Baymont north of this place.

Staff was very helpful and friendly

Staff and friends were always party , even while on duty. Any one of the employee, Devon . Really cared about our stay and was friendly . Everyone else just ran a muck , other employees ran up and down the halls , chasing each other down the halls . I would say most of the time the employees were sitting outside smoke marijuana, party . While on duty. Even the employee hallway smelled so much like marijuana. Running from room to room . Management needs to look into this matter. And clean house if I were them . And another thing , why does it take 3 days to clean one room. 1 to 5 stars I would have it a minus 5 stars . Beware , of you belongings ..

I never make evaluations, but this experience was that bad. Although there was no one at desk upon arrival we didn't wait long and check in was ok. TV wasn't connected; bedside light would not turn off; found beetle in the shower; only one each bath towel, hand towel, and very dingy wash cloth for 2 of us. No one at desk in AM. One lady waited over 2 hours to get into her room because her key failed, and no one was around. With no one around, there was no breakfast. My husband called the police because the computer was open and a partially eaten sandwich was at the front desk. It looked like something nefarious could have happened. The facility looked like it was on its last leg. Awful experience. Expedia, you should ditch this place.

Check in was horrible. The person behind the counter was new and inadequately trained or just incompetent. In addition to taking 45 minutes to check in with only 1 family ahead of me, the hotel required a $50 room deposit in addition to the room charge. In order to get a refund you were told to write down your credit card number and expiration date on a sheet of paper which I was told would be "safely" kept and then destroyed. The hotel was clean, however the towels were either cheap or washed too many times, and the wash clothes had stains on them. Breakfast was non existent. They forgot to make the coffee, and the machine they use to make it takes at least 30 minutes. They did have orange juice, apples, and a toaster, but you had to bring your own bread. I have stayed in worse, but I don't stay in those again either, as I won't be returning here. If you stay here I hope you have a better experience than I did.

Staff is not well trained or polite

I requested a room with a shower chair for myself because I'm disabled and so is my companion... The front desk staff was Extremely rude... I had just had a procedure done and was instructed to rest... I'm disabled... He wanted proof that I was disabled... That is against the ADA! I am disabled I have a handicapped placard for my car but I do not need to show it. My companion is a war vet! The front deck manager at the time told me that my attitude was not going to get me anything... I had just had a procedure done. I didn't need to be treated like that from anyone. I was just wanting to check into my room and rest but instead I had to drive back home over 3 hours away which I was I was instructed not to do but did anyway because I didn't have any money because I couldn't get a refund. I won't be trying to stay there again for any reason nor will I recommend my friends or family stay there. Cordell I believe his name was that helped me has ruined my opinion of this place and who they hire.

House keeping walked in twice didnt knock until door was almost all the way open. 1st time wasnt bad but second time i was naked and getting dressed. Went to front desk to complain and owner was there and he blew it off like no big deal said it happens.

we never received our “security deposit” back. We weren’t aware of a security deposit until check in either, and then it was non refundable and we couldn’t cancel.

It advertised a swimming pool but the pool isn't open. I've stayed there 3 or 4 times in the past year and the manager first said it would be open maybe that weekend, that it was being worked on, that it would be open this March, and the maintenance guy was sick. They seem to tell you that with no intentions on opening it. The staff were nice. Some people seemed a little shady that hung around there.

This hotel is right off the highway, so it's easy to get to. Gas station next door. Close to downtown.

We were going to stay here for just one night, just a few hours. As soon we we pull in we notice cop cars are circling the building (not great) but let it go. We checked in and got our room which we were told was the “nicest” room. We let the cops and a K9 into the hotel and turns out it was for a drug bust. 4 police cars with 8 cops come in. We get upstairs to our room and we’re looking around. The sheets have cigarette burns in them and there’s cockroaches on the ceiling. We informed the front desk that there was cockroaches in our room. She told us that since we paid with a third party they would refund us the night stay, to just tell them Thresa said a refund was okay. Well after fighting with Expedia for 3 days, the hotel refuses to give me my money back, even though they said they would. So, my advice, do not stay here. Cockroaches, drug busts, and an incredibly shady staff who will tell you what you want to hear, just for them to lie, so they can keep your money. Oh, they did refund my $25 cleaning fee. So I guess that’s one plus.

This hotel has that late 80's to early 90's vibe to it. Just a very nice but kinda off in the back off the road kind of hotel. I'd go back to again.

Staff are decent people, place is average at best, but it's quiet.

Quiet are hiding inbetween trees. I was able to let my dog run loose and not had to worry about getting ran over. Rooms were cleaned so does the front office. Check in was quick and painless! Thank you!

Accessible place. Very quiet, the beds are fine for what you pay for.

The beds themselves were good, nice and clean but the bathrooms were a bit tired and could use some updating. I'd say you do get what you pay for as this is more of a budget hotel and not a 5 star so there are some sacrifices. Breakfast is offered but it's nothing really hot and the provided drinks weren't the freshest so I would stick with the water. Internet connection is decently quick if you need to do some remote meetings or work. Overall good place to sleep if that's all you're looking for.

The people at the desk were nice enough but it felt like their hands were tied. 1. We were told the swimming pool had problems getting ready and so it is not available 2. I was told the night before there would be breakfast though they prepared us that it would not be a hot one. This morning, there was NO food at all, only juice, and was told there would be none. Again, the desk was nice enough but no solution. 3. Then on my way back to the room the key did not work to get back in to my room and the person down the hall had the same problem. 4. We also did not have enough toilet paper and had to find solution. So…come on. One problem is a bad day. All of these things going wrong is a deeper issue and I suspect it is the ownership or management. I specifically was looking for a pool and breakfast and it had neither. Be up front, please. I would have thought it was worth it even though the overall place was dated.

the free breakfast was a joke. OJ & a bag of apples on the counter... not kidding.

The website says they have a pool exercise room and breakfast and daily newspaper of which they had none so don’t let everyone believe they do. The heater would work then start blowing cold air so we would shut it off for awhile then it would work again. Curtain rod on the shower was messed up so we had to play with it to close it. Also no wash cloths and they did not have any in laundry room so they had to take them from another room. Their coffee pot was so bad it took two hours to make one cup of coffee Two different times the keys would not work so we had to get different ones. Also there seemed to be problems with the electric in the room. We have stayed there several times in the past and each time it has gotten worse. Also the ice machine is not enough to handle that motel. We will never stay there again.

The receptionist was cheerful. The rooms were clean & comfy & recently remodeled. The take & go breakfast was perfect for us.

The website lied the pool was unusable sign on the door said pool closed until further notice and there was no breakfast offered. They just had tea and juice set out but no food.
