I didn’t think it could get worse than 3 stars in July … but it did. Long story short, this is a motel that’s just the size of a hotel. The amenities are basically nil. The pool, which has been “down” for years I’m told, was “filled” Monday and I was told by multiple front desk staff that it would be ready to swim in by Wednesday. It wasn’t. The “continental breakfast” was some stale cereal, a mixture of yogurts, a bowl of what was probably once hard boiled eggs, and a waffle maker. The room? It was dingy, smelly, and had about 6 lamps, 4 of which worked. The bed? 30 years old and sagged so badly in the middle that no matter where you laid down you immediately rolled to the middle. There was no mattress pad, so instead they put a weird will blanket under the sheet that just got bunched up every time you moved in the bed. The bathtub drained so slowly that by the time I was done with a 10 minute shower there was 4-5” of standing water in the tub with me. The bright spot, if there was one, is the friendly younger guy who was working the desk one night. He was extremely helpful and even brought me an extra towel to my room when I called at 1 am. It’s too bad he wasn’t working every night. The other guy working the desk, an older Indian guy, was as rude as rude could be. I had a friend, who was also staying in the same city stop in to see me at around 8 pm one night and this guy told him he couldn’t visit me as there were no visitors allowed. I won’t be back.

The pool was shut down for bad water. The breakfast was bland and dry. Biscuits dried up. No exhaust fan in the bathroom to help with humidity.

Had a terrible experience and stay and Quality Inn at West Lafayette. Stayed there for 4 nights in Aug 2026. The only advantage was that it’s 4 miles from the campus. All staff was good except for Mr. Ramesh. He is at the front desk: very rude, unpleasant and not helpful at all. The rooms were very dirty and unhygienic. Even after many requests to have the room cleaned properly, Mr Ramesh did nothing. On the contrary, he said the problem was me and I was expecting too much. Refused to provide clean sheets even on request. The worst experience was one early morning, he and 2 other staff people started knocking at the room and continued to keep disturbing. When I addressed this to him, again be behaved extremely rudely. This place is not recommended. My worst stay in the USA in this trip. Hope this feedback helps them improve. Thank you

Definitely in need of some upkeep. Luggage cart held together with zip ties, dirt bathtub, some room number litter a piece of paper next to the door, broken chair in the room.
