Staff was friendly. Second time we have stayed here in last few years. The pool/hot tub were still “under construction” however they appeared in working order. They put us on the third floor with the working elevator on the opposite side of the hotel and the closest stairs “out of order”. The room was missing furniture and outlets by where they put a lamp. The hotel was not full so not sure why they put us in the room they did. Gave the hotel a second chance and won’t give it a third.

We booked this property because one of the specific amenities was the hot tub. We come out west to ski every year ant this is one of the things we look for in our stay. There was no notification that the hot tub was not available. I even called to confirm 2 weeks ahead it was and was when i booked the trip Jan 9th. We got in at 11pm on Monday only to find out it was under construction. The Hotel offered to cancel our reservation but that really didn't help at that point.

Our room was nice and roomy with a mountain type decoration and even ports to charge your phone which is conveniently located under one of their nice lamps. The beds were pretty comfortable and kind of soft, I think they're called pillow soft tops, I'd rather have just a firm mattress. Still, I slept okay. The pool was nice, a perfect temperature. The hot tub had too many chemicals or it was off because it was like taking a bubble bath. The sauna heated up quickly. It was nice in the early morning as in the evening there was always kids in the pool and people in the hot tub. There was a good assortment of hot food available for breakfast in a nicely decorated area called The atrium. Expect a good walk there. I liked the convenience to downtown Kalispell as we could easily take a walk, plus it was right next to the trails to rails path.

The place is lovely. Unfortunately we chose this place for the pool but currently the pool is under renovation. It does have a gym and adjoins a mall and small casino though, so there are perks. Staff is terrific.

Hotel room was great. Firepit outside, hot chocolate and popcorn was a nice touch. Sauna and pool were great. Hot tub was small and pump wasnt working but was usable. Lobby eas really nice. Breakfast was great with good options. Breakfast staff was very accomidating. Hotel is slightly dated but still in very nice condition. Casino was part of hotel but no issues and did not even notice.

Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast included. I dropped off my rental car (and grandson) at Airport (FCA) after checking in to Red Lion Hotel. I used Hotel shuttle back to Red Lion, stayed one night and used shuttle again to Airport for my morning flight. Hotel's preference is to book AP shuttle 24 hours ahead. I didn't know that but Hotel (Ali and driver) kindly accommodated me.

This is a deplorable hotel.Old and shabby. Carpets are dirty and frayed. We spent 4 nights and not once did housekeeping service our room. My husband had to get clean towels from front desk. He ask how often they cleaned and they said every day. He requested service but it made no difference.

There was dried dog feces on the carpet by the bed which we covered with a towel because we arrived late at night. Next morning asked them to clean it and they did not even though they stood on the towel to make the bed. Had to ask again for them to finally remove it. Also noticed garbage underneath the bed.

Bathtub had a large amount of hair stuck to it. Toilet seat lid was broken, used coffee pod left in machine and pull out coffee shelf would not close. Breakfast area was really dark and food was not enjoyable.

The staff were great, they were friendly and happy to help. The room we stayed it was not super clean though. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom, toothpaste and other unidentified drips on the bathroom wall. The shower walls were not very clean either.

We like the Red Lion because of its convenience to downtown, but over the years have seen a decline in the building, rugs, walls, fixtures are all in need of an update. Missed the arm chair in our room.Bed is comfy, and breakfast and breakfast area are great!

When service is so bad, the rest is secondary. We checked in late, and the room had used towels in the bathroom, quite disgusting so early next morning we told the front desk to make sure the room needed to be cleaned properly and they took note. We came back at 7pm and IT WAS NOT DONE! the front desk employee explained me that they are short-handed, ridiculous answer, when that is why you pay! After reaching the manager, they moved us to another room, no king beds available! Beyond that, carpets are worn out and dirty, AC stuck at 68 and very cold, wi-fi terrible at 5 mbps, huge hotel without restaurant-bar. Sonesta group is to be out of my list.

The room was not as pictured on the site.. no arm chair when we asked the front desk they said they never had armchairs. When we showed them the picture on the site they said maybe three years ago. We then tried to cancel the second night and had to go through Hotels.com. They were great, but couldn't get a good response from the hotel staff. We were told by the hotel that we could check out early and they would refund the 2nd night. When we got to the room again, a chair had magically appeared. The hotel location and facilities are great. They were renovating the second floor, but took steps to not inconvenience anyone. The only issue was the front desk lying to us.

Breakfast had the usual hot breakfast items but I did appreciate how much there was to choose from. The gentlemen that were monitoring and mananging the breakfast line were fantastic. There was not one person who went without and everything was stocked. The hallways were gross. Carpet needs to be replaced and it does not give a good first impression. Rooms are okay but there was a huge gap under our door so the bright light was coming into our room and we could hear everything in the hall.

The room smelled of cigarette smoke and the room had a sweet smell that was meant to mask the smoke odor, and the window was open--but to no avail. One of the bedside lamps had a burned out lightbulb. We were given another room. The blackout panels were too short. Upon notifying the front desk, we were told the rest of the panels were thereb but they were separate panels and new panels were on order. In this room, also, the tall reading lamp was missing its ligjtbulb. Lacey at the front desk was kind and apologetic. Her service was exemplary.

AC continually ran. the hand held shower head bracket was broken and disfunctional. the shower floor surface was dangerously slippery. this floor is a lawyer's dream. partially pulled a groin muscle slipping. had to buy additional shower mat as the one provided was horribly inadequate. lack of useful electrical outlets. smoke detector continually blinked at random intervals.

We arrived a few hours early and we're allowed to check in. The front desk girl was friendly, funny and helpful. Our room was clean, bed comfortable with lots of pillows. Breakfast was good. We like that Starbucks is across the parking lot. This is our 5th or 6th stay, and will be back!

Brian and Avery helped us so much! Our flight was originally scheduled to arrive at 11:45 pm and Brian said it was no problem! However, the Detroit plane had mechanical trouble and the weather was bad, delaying our flight and making us miss both connecting flights. I called Brian in a panic. He again said it was no problem. We did not arrive in Kalispell until Monday morning. When we got to the hotel, Brian & Avery greeted us like family! They made sure we weren’t charged for the night we had not stayed. Big warm smiles on both of them! They’re great

They stay was amazing the younger man that does nights at the front desk was rude when checking in. And beyond just being plain out rude he ran my debit card 4 times so instead of a 75 deposit it was a 300 and the guy could care less very rude an unkind.

We liked the location... downtown and close to shopping and dining. We liked the design of the hotel, from the entrance to reception to the patio. The hotel in general, however, is in need of a big time refresher. The woodwork throughout is worn, scarred and generally beat up. The carpet in the hallways is filthy and the walls in the hallways bear the marks of many a cart. The entrance ( outside) could use some concrete repair and a good power/steam cleaning The staff as well could use a little training in customer relations They seemed pained to deal with us and worked to avoid any interaction The room itself was pleasant and clean The first night however we needed to ask the staff for clean towels

Great hotel at a very convenient and safe location. The front desk was very helpful. Convenient and plenty of free parking. Great small indoor pool and sauna/hot tub. Room service for some reason was absent one of the four days there apparently for all rooms on that floor which caused a trash pileup. General facilities in very good condition except the hallway carpets.

The breakfast was a really good hotel breakfast and they offered hot chocolate and popcorn in the lobby which my kids loved. The hotel was clean but dated, however the location is great!

The staff was wonderful and very caring but I didn't feel safe with the south doors to the parking lot never being locked. There was also a dirty paper plate outside where I walked my dog and she wanted to eat it. There was also dog poop that was left be past guests. I realize that this is not the hotels fault, but I am being charged $50 for my dog (whom I clean up afterwards) the hotel should clean up when someone leaves it.

Love this location, and I’ve stayed here many times. Carpet is showing age, bed was showing age as well, but comfortable. Biggest disappointment was the exterior where I stumbled across homeless person sleeping in the bushes, and needless on the ground next to them.

The pool was decent, we found it very cold. The hot tub was nice and the sauna was a cool bonus. The pool towels were the size of maybe a hair towel, kind of odd. The first morning we had Breakfast was great (scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, cereal, muffins, etc) and the gentleman working breakfast kept everything full, nobody waited for anything. The second morning breakfast was very disappointing. The gal working didn’t keep anything stocked. There was often no coffee, no hot food. The room seemed clean (foreshadowing), beds were okay. No extra blankets in the rooms, also our room was supposed to sleep 5 but it did not (two “queens”). We ended up having to go buy a pool floaty for one of the kids to sleep in because they wouldn’t give us a cot. On the morning of checkout, we’re looking under the beds to make sure we have everything of ours and we found multiple pieces of food garbage that did not belong to us. Pretty disgusting thing to discover as we’re leaving, it made us wonder what else wasn’t cleaned properly…..would we stay here again? Probably, strictly for the price and proximity to downtown. Front desk staff were lovely, checking in and out was a breeze.

Wonderfully warm welcome upon entry, and the entire hotel was quite homey. The breakfast area was gorgeous and the food plentiful. Even checking out was a positive, smooth experience!

My room was very nice and clean. The location is downtown which is very convenient. There is shuttle service to the airport, but you must reserve in advance. They are lax in answering the phone, but very nice people at the desk. They provide nice breakfast options.
