Couldn’t get the heat to work in our room, asked the front desk about it. Was told that it was probably too cold outside for it to work and just leave the heat on low it will eventually warm up. Well it didn’t. The first night we froze! We ended up unplugging the unit. The next night we plugged it back in and had heat. We also didn’t like that they didn’t touch up our room during our three nights. I finally took the used towels to the front desk to get clean ones. Also the pool is closed and doesn’t look like it’s ever going to open again. We love the tea machine in the lobby and breakfast was okay. We were happy that the handicap room provided a shower seat.

Clean & in fairly good condition. Need to update the records that the pool has not been open for a couple of years. Breakfast is very limited: only biscuits & gravy for hot - rest is mostly continental breakfast. A couple of lights were burnt out above the sink vanity.

I checked in. Room 227 was filthy. The bathroom was disgusting. There was poop on the toilet seat and urine all over it and the floor. The bed undoubtedly had not been changed from previous occupant. They moved me to room 217. Bathroom was as filthy as 227. 3rd room - marginal but slightly better. I spend about 50-60 nights a year in hotels. I don’t ever give bad reviews. My bathroom needed a serious deep clean. Upon checking the window to see the weather outside, I discovered the window track was BLACK with mold. Im only guessing the rest of the AC hadnt been cleaned in a long time. The pool has also long been abandoned and I can only imagine what the curtains are hiding in there. Not a good hotel at all. Needs a serious deep clean by a cleaning crew.

This Howard Johnson was a very nice stay. My room was easy to get to and quiet. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good. The front desk was very nice and helpful both in the evening when I checked in and in the morning when I left. I would stay here again.

Very old and outdated. Food for breakfast was not presented to be appetizing. Carpet in room very soiled didn’t even want to walk on it barefoot. Plastic soap bottle fell off wall when I went to shower. Spider found on floor under bath towels we used last night.

This is a decent place to stay for the cost. Def not a 5-star or maybe even 4, but it’s clean & the bed was comfy. We’ll stay again. It sits by I80 so there is highway noise. Not terrible inside though.

The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The building inside looked a little tired. The carpets and tile, as well as the plumbing fixtures were old. Also, at check- in the staff had to be summoned by phone. That took a few minutes. A gentleman that arrived after us may have had some frustration trying to figure out the written language. I showed him the phone and to push zero. I am unsure if he was successful in securing a room.

Room was very nice and large. The outside and lobby appearance not very inviting, but pleasantly surprised when we saw the room. Breakfast was limited, would have liked to have seen english muffins or bagels to toast.

The room was not bad, but the staff, hallway, and breakfast were not good at all. I walked by the front office only to see the room filled with vape smoke, and breakfast for the two days was beyond terrible. I had to ask if anyone was tending to breakfast as it was advertised to be open from 6 to 9 AM, and we were in the breakfast area at about 7:45. I had booked my room through Expedia, and I still received a message from the hotel that I could check in online by uploading my license, putting in my car make model and license plate, and even my credit card number for incidentals - which I did. When I arrived at the hotel, they required me to do this yet again even though the text message that I received explained that now all I had to do was pick up my keys. When I was checking out, I asked for a receipt, and the receptionist stated that since I booked online that there was not a receipt from the hotel…but when I checked my credit card statement, three days later, I saw that they had double charged my credit card in addition to what Expedia had charged me. I am currently attempting to get this charge refunded.

I only stayed here because I’d driven from SLC and there were literally no rooms anywhere. The reviews made it sound decent but it was far from that. At check in the front desk agent proceeded to complain about her job and told me how a guest shat all over the pool area the night before and management decided to leave it for her to clean when she went in the next evening. Talk about a biohazard! Never complain to the guests! I felt disgusted but didn’t want to keep driving so I had to stay there knowing it was probably filthy. The hallways hadn’t been vacuumed so I had an idea that my room wouldn’t be spotless. The ice bucket was nasty, the bathroom floor was full of hair and the tub looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the hotel was built so I couldn’t take a shower. Luckily the bed was clean. My advice to management is treat your employees better and put the sofa back! With a little training the girl who checked me in could be great but she was on her phone while I was talking to her (the computer was taking a long time) and didn’t hear a word I said. When I left the next morning a different girl was at the front desk and on her phone and didn’t say a word to me because she didn’t even see me.

We were awoke in the middle of That night at four thirty a m with the Smoke detector goong off. There was water pouring out of it. This went on for about 20 minutes. The girl working was confused. She finally offered us to move into another room. I believe this rooml should have been comped. This was a total inconvenience because we were having to get up and drive another thousand miles to get to our destination. When I checked out the next morning, The front desk people were very rude.

I was pressed to find a room. I’m gonna get the spelling wrong but the precious young lady at the desk (Joscelyn) was SO kind and friendly. Went above and beyond. She helped me book through my app in order to get points. First thing walking in I noted how clean and fresh smelling the lobby was. Could believe how nice this room was. You won’t find a better deal along I-80.

We have a dog and they accompanied us by having a room on the 1st floor, so she did not have to go up the stairs, no elevator. Lots of grassy area for dogs. Restaurant right in the back of the place. Right off of the interstate.

The hotel is old and in need of updating and a deep clean wouldn't hurt. There are a lot of Band-Aids to make things work. If you are expecting breakfast you better be there well before 8:00 as there was no food left. Only a few pieces of white bread and sugar cereals. On the positive side, the staff was nice (they can't do anything about the condition or amount of food provided). Our room was fairly clean but the bathroom is very old and you just can't get it clean.

Employee at front desk was not friendly. Had to take dogs out through front door past desk each time they went out. Not a nice hotel for the price. Pool was not in working order. Breakfast was supposed to be until 9 am. Tried to get coffee before 8 and told they ran out. Would not make more. Overall bad experience. Howard Johnson’s use to be nicer before Covid and they got bought by Wyndham.

Plenty of parking but we saw lots of glass on the parking lot which looked like car window breakage. The worst breakfast ever we had in hotel, wish I can share pictures. Gravy and biscuits, the gravy was in crock pot probably several days old, 1 molded orange, about 2-3 yogurts in warm fridge with warm milk in it as well. This was out second time to stay in Howard Johnson, the first one was not nice as well so we thought give them one more chance but never again.

Our stay overall was pretty good. We did the digital check in but still had to sign/initial paperwork and provide my ID (done in the digital check in). The staff was nice and friendly enough. The room was clean and cool so that was nice. I don’t like that the light to the bathroom was outside (would wake my family when going to the bathroom. The toilet was a little lower than expected so that took a second to adjust. The water in our shower would pool up until the shower was off then it went down. The breakfast was satisfactory, I was expecting more than what they had though. Some eggs and sausage/bacon would have been nice in addition to the various cereals, biscuits and gravy (gravy was in a crockpot to stay warm), waffle machine and yogurts. There were also bagels, toast, etc. For the 1 night we stayed, it was good.

There's plenty of parking even for big trucks. The rooms are clean, however they all have the small toilet seat. The breakfast is very modest, only waffles, cereal, and bread. No juice, eggs or meat whatsoever.
