North Conway Grand Hotel

Great location and excellent stall

Great hotel. No hot water on the night of our stay. Hotel staff made it right. Very nice, clean hotel. Convenient to local shopping and restaurants. Parking lot is rough and needs repaved.

The hotel was good for the most part, but there were some downsides. The positives were the room was clean and large. The bed was firm and quite comfortable and the linen and pillows were high quality. The indoor pool and hot tub were very nice. The outdoor pool, patio and children’s pool were excellent. They have a movie room with a dozen big leather sofas and show movies each night at 6pm (for children) and 8pm (for adults), so that was a nice touch. The negatives were the check-in process which took over a half-hour even though we were just the second couple in line due to lack of staff. The couple in front of us had some sort of discrepancy with their booking that took up a ton of time and there was only one desk clerk working which was ridiculous as they had 5 or 6 tour busses pulling in full of people to check in. Also most likely due to the bus tour folks staying there for the night, the restaurant reduced their regular menu to only a few options because they had a buffet available which included unappealing frozen/Cisco truck type foods. So I ended up just ordering a burger thinking that would be safe enough, but it was a frozen burger patty that tasted like sawdust. I understand that Hotel restaurants often times aren’t great and have frozen and/or Cisco truck types of offerings, but we viewed the menu online ahead of time and there were some good options including steaks that were not available so we were pretty disappointed, but too tired to bother going elsewhe

Super clean. Friendly staff. Nice beds

It's always been and still is a grand place to stay, literally. This last stay their outdoor pool and hot tub weren't working, but they did't mention this or see it posted on their website... we go there for the little get away and were bummed.
