La Fonda on the Plaza

They generously gave us an upgraded room when learning the trip was our 50th anniversary celebration. We hope to visit again and again.

This hotel was in a great location; close to shops, parks, restaurants. The hotel has a garage with valet (only option) but it is about a block away which is far if you have luggage, kids, etc. The hotel is quaint and very thematic for the age of the structure and the area it is in. The rooms reflect this so don’t expect more. The linen was nice, as was the shower. Small rooms tho. The room I was assigned was at the very end of the hall (ok) but it happened to be above where all the deliveries were made. Beginning around 3:30am and until the time we checked out around 9:30am, the deliveries, the loading/unloading and the boisterous conversations didn’t stop. I get that all of this has to happen but the room should either be used for storage or the guests should be informed. This is unacceptable.
