Residence Inn Long Island Hauppauge/Islandia

This hotel is in the town I grew up in, but only have 2nd cousins and ex in laws. When we do need to see family, this is our go to spot! Check in was easy and we even got to check in early, always a plus! Having a small kitchen for leftovers and drinks is a terrific perk! The indoor pool is another treat, especially in the winter! Couldn't ask for more!

I have been coming to this Residence Inn for over 2 years now for business and every time I come it's awesome. Everyone has been so accommodating and gracious. They know me and even have the room I like ready if it's available. The facilities are very nice and always very clean. I would highly recommend this property!!!

While the rooms decor is a bit drab, the stat of the room itself was very good. We had an issue with our tv and they immediately came and replaced it. Very attentive service. My only true complaint was the pool was cold (gasp!).

My experience here was great everybody was very helpful, the people in the hotel were very nice that was staying as guests. Nothing to complain about. Perfect little pool for the kids if you have kids and there's plenty of restaurants and everything around you no complaints here great place.!

The pool and gym were both very clean and well-maintained, which made using the facilities really enjoyable. In the morning, the breakfast was just as good, tasty, and paired with a nice hot coffee that started the day off perfectly. The room itself was spotless, and the bed was incredibly soft and comfortable for my partner and I who love sleeping in, with no squeaking or wear and tear on the mattress or on any sheets or towels, making it perfect for our trip. Overall, it was a great stay and I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and quality.

Very clean albeit the furniture had some obvious wear- the mattress seemed brand new. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only areas needing improvement: The EV chargers were out of service and I was counting on them for my electric car. The breakfast ended promptly at 9. It was a really nice service but we felt rushed.

It was maintained very well. Looking at it from the outside I would make a reservation to stay there.

Excellent upkeep of property- staff excellent. Though seems to an element of “permanent” residents, saw same ones I saw a couple years ago.

A nightmare from hell. Old property with a musty smell. The "queen" bed is barely a full bed, and the pull out bed is not fit for a prisoner. They also provided the most pathetic blanket (more like a towel) for the "comforter" for this pullout couch. There are four people in our family (two medium-size adults and two small 7-year-old twin girls), and no one was able to sleep. It was the most uncomfortable stay we have ever had, and the cherry on top of the sundae was the car alarm that went off for FOUR hours at infrequent intervals (from 12 midnight until 4 am when they finally addressed the issue and had the car towed). The front desk did not care at all about this issue; we checked out a day early (we could not bare another moment on this property) and hotels.com and the property itself were giving us the runaround about whether or not they could refund us the money for the final night (that we would NOT be staying there). We're still fighting to get this refund. The entire experience was a nightmare from start to finish. We are incredibly relaxed, easygoing travelers who have stayed in many, many hotels before, but this was like something out of a horror movie. Never, ever stay here. IHG Stony Brook or Hauppauge are fine; go there. (Oh yeah, the free breakfast was pathetic too, haha!)

Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The service qas amazing, people were very friendly. Comsodering the hotel was the pet frienly hotel, it was neat and clean. But there were a lot of dog hair found under the sofa bed, made my daughter starting to wheeze. Hotel associate quicly solve the problem by moving us to the different room, we were able to stay as planned, happy about that.

The rooms were clean. Service was great.

The "Queen Beds" were fulls at best. My husband and I fought for space and had a terrible night sleep.

We booked two rooms with Queen bed and a sofa. We were given two rooms with one twin bed each. Very uncomfortable. When I book and pre pay a room I expect to get what is promised. Substitution of a small bed for a Queen bed is not right.

$300 a night for this place was insane ! We were with a wedding and it was the hotel they picked ! The bed was awful so bed I had to move to pull out couch in the middle of the night :( They also allow dogs here and someone had one barking all night !

Place was okay, but the room was not what was expected. We had a one bedroom and thought there was two beds, but we only got a queen and a sofabed. The bed was not good and the sofabed was even worse. No one got a good night's sleep. It was also a bit dated. The breakfast hours are very short...it does state that it ends at 9am from Mon to Fri but it was also Labor day on the Monday so we assumed that it would be treated like a weekend as it is a holiday.

Don’t give me back my security deposit back but still a great spot

I would’ve love for them to tell me before I reach there that there was a $20 dollars fee extra , I was told it is just in case there was a damage inside the hotel room , I was told it was refundable so I just going to wait and see if they refund the money back.

The staff was wonderful. Marie was very welcoming answered our questions and provided a speedy check in and check out. The hotel was clean, quiet and in really nice condition. I would stay here again.

It’s always a pleasure staying at this hotel. My travels take me here quite often and the staff always makes me feel at home and take care of every need. I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else now!

Online check-in not available becuse system couldn't "find the reservation" - telephone call found the reservation. Check-in clerk sent us to the wrong room with the right keys...clumsy, lot of walkoint to get it right...

Stayed for one night for an event across the street. Breakfast was good. It had basics. The full kitchen was a nice surprise. I had a pleasant stay and would come back.

Fire alarm went off at 6 AM. Entire hotel had to evacuate in the rain. Breakfast was horrible. Don’t expect good sleep or food.

$100 per night charge for one dog seemed excessive especially since we checked in st 8p. The breakfast buffet was honestly the worst I’ve ever seen. Front desk staff was very friendly & efficient
