Dropping my daughter off at Stony Brook for school. We arrived to find out there were not 2 queen beds in our room and cold water shower. Woke up to a cold shower in the morning as well, the whole place had the same issue. Misrepresented online regarding the room and Hampton Inn although verbally offered to give us a refund for one night, they did not follow through on it. I simply wanted what I had booked a room with 2 queen size beds and of course HOT WATER showers.

The whole hotel had no hot water for the two days that we stayed there. Our room was not cleaned or serviced while we were out after the first night. When asked about it at the front desk, I was told it was only done if requested. I said "what about towels?" I was told "we keep towels here at the front desk if you need them." I asked "what do I do with the used towels?" Told to "put them outside your room door and someone will come and pick them up." Every time we got off the elevator the halls reeked of "pot"; I know what it smells like, I grew up in the 60s. Carpet was filthy. I walked around the room in my white socks and bottoms turned black. When front desk was presented with all this information I was told "we cannot offer you any compensation because you booked it through Hotel.com not us" Breakfast was good.

I did not expect to be giving this property a negative review. Unfortunately upon arrival to our room I turned down the bed and it smelled musty. I went down to report this to the front desk and instead of sending someone to change the bed, they gave me the new be linen to change. Can you image that? Then at the end of the day I went to relax in the heated pool only to find a cold and dirty pool. When brought to the attention of the desk staff, they said well it’s more like temperature controlled and he would talk to the guy on Monday. I WAS LEAVING SUNDAY! HOW DOES THAT HELP ME? I may be forced to take my business elsewhere. The staff was totally unbothered. VERY UNFORTUNATE. Not up to the standards I expect when staying at a Hampton Inn.

Big shoutout to Bobby at the front desk! Super cool dude willing to go above and beyond. Appreciate you Bobby! Heated pool was clean. 88 outside water temp, 83 water temp. Fitness center was clean and had solid equipment.

Dismayed to see moldy spots in the shower. The mattress was quite hard but not terribly uncomfortable. Breakfast was nice but ran out of baked goods both mornings we ate- around 9am. The bathrooms should have more than two towels for two nights in our opinion. I always use one for my body and one for my hair. Upon entering, the room was absolutely freezing. I'm always warm but it took a long time for the room to be comfortable. It wasn't an overly hot day either. It felt as though the room had been on a very low temperature for days. We like this hotel very much and will continue to stay. With those few changes, it would be perfect.

The bathroom was disgusting with poop all over the wall and floor was not swept. Asked to switch rooms , new room was not much better and smelled awful. In general the hotel was filthy. For $300 , the room was a rip off. <$150 this room was worth. Do better Hampton Inn

The hotel had a horrible order, the elevators were always filthy and smelly. The mold and mildew visible in every corner of the establishment including my room and the bathroom was deplorable. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, pillows included, the room was damp and humid even with the air on that only blew in one direction. The tub did not work as it was broke and hanging loose. The free coffee was one specific brew every day all day long and NEVER HOT! The amount of noise and additional smell of weed in the hallways was RIDICULOUS ! All I can say is NEVER AGAIN! And to think I paid $1,186.00 to be annoyed, inconvenienced and physically in pain from the bed. I have stayed at larger more well known Hiltons and Marriotts for less money and more time and had much better amenities, services and accommodations.

This hotel has so much potential, but the cleanliness is substandard. We had a king room with a pull out coach. The extra blanket for the pull out smelt like a dead animal. When we tried to get another the voicemails for house keeping and the front desk were full. I had to ask a housekeeper for blankets and towels. They only clean your room if you stay three nights. The breakfast was good, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if cleanliness is important to you. It didn’t look like the bathroom floor had been cleaned in wuite some time.

No one has called me back. There were pubic hairs in my shower upon check in. Unacceptable. I made a complaint with the front desk, left a message for the assistant manager and no one has gotten back to me. Unfortunately my next step will be writting to corporate.

This was a great hotel for a family visit. The property is clean and well maintained. The room was very comfortable and very clean. It is close and convenient to both the expressway and stores. Would defnitely stay there again. Breakfast was the usual fare found at the expanded continental breakfasts. Had to wait on coffee, but it was because it was very busy at the breakfast area. It would be nice to have someone cleaning/wiping tables after a party leaves. Or the ability to get a wipe and clean the table. Not a compliant - just an observation to better improve cleanliness.

I had to go back downstairs every night when I got to my room to get my key recharged so that I could get back in my room. Most of the TV channels came in super fuzzy. Other than those two things, I enjoyed my stay here. The room was very comfortable and clean, breakfast was great, and they have a pretty good fitness facility. Not much if anything for nightlife or restaurants near hotel.

First of all, I do want to acknowledge that the hotel is clean and facility is nice. The hotel staff are nice and courteous. What really made me unhappy about the stay was that my neighbor room seemed to be having a party with loud music and talking and cheering after midnight till 3am while no staff was around. I made several attempts to call the front desk, room service, housekeep between 1 and 2 am with no response. I was traveling alone with my little one and I didn’t want to leave her alone in the room and go downstairs by myself. The quality of service usually comes from the details, and that’s what I think is missing.

Called at 10:30pm to let them know I was arriving late. They did not honor my reservation. The clerk at the front desk was completely incompetent. Had to drive exhausted after 16 hour drive to give another hotel that wasn't a complete disaster like this one. Never using this chain.

my room stay was good ,my room was very clean my bed was comfotable,my checking was a slight problem some one new it started out good. i was charged twice,she stated it was a glitch and the security deposit did not register. so .i reinserted my card again,and ended up being charged twice. which was odd ,because my room was paid in advance and it should have only be charged for security.deposit when i arrived.i have stayed there on many times and never had this problem before. i called the nxt day when i recieved my reciept . a refund was processed .the the additional charge. and still waiting for myh refund. 4 days later, and made and addtional call today 08/18/2025-stilll not seeing credit on my account

Beware of this hotel scamming you. After checking out, I noticed a 500.00 dollar charge. I called and spoke to the assistant manager, Kaitlyn, and she stated that the charge was a smoking fee. She stated that the smoking sensory level in the room was high at 2:20 pm and based off the report they cannot issue a refund. At that time I was blow drying my hair followed by straightening my hair to get ready for a wedding. I am a non-smoker and I don’t vape. Nothing was damaged in the room and there was never any unusual smell of tobacco in the room. In addition, not once did an employee or manager came to the room for themselves to check for unusual smell or if everything was okay once they saw that the smoking sensory level was high. Both assistant manager Kaitlyn and manager Dean were very useless and dismissive. So now I have to go through a long process with my bank to dispute the charge because I refuse to have this hotel take 500 dollars for something that I didn’t do. I am currently in the military and have been serving for 6 years and have the upmost respect and integrity wherever I go. I do not recommend going to this hotel as this hotel has employees and managers that don’t go above and beyond their job.

No one was at front desk for check in time which was 3pm. I had to ask a housekeeper that was walking by to help us find someone. Room was clean but the rugs definitely need updating stains & rips.Breakfast was good with many options. No one at gront desk when I checked out..Also no one greeted you when you walked by the desk when there was actually someone there

This was a brief but enjoyable stay. The breakfast was great, staff very friendly and checking in and out was easy. We arrived late for a one night stay and it would have been great to be able to buy a beer or glass of wine on site but there was no hot food option or bar service. The room refurbishment was well done, especially the v sensitive AC. Nice bathroom refit. Reasonable value for money.
