Exceptional service from ataff is a prime reason we return only here when in the area. Food and beverage seris also superior, though not available every day.

Had to book this last minute and there was not much available in my price range. This hotel turned out to be a real gem. The facilities are older but have been upgraded significantly. You get a real "bed and breakfast" feel but with a crisp, clean and fresh presentation. The breakfast was delicious. Hotel sits on a sprawling campus so it is not a "city" hotel.

Their restaurant was wonderful.

Excellent service and support from staff. We stayed for 5 days for a family get together. Peaceful, beautiful facility and property with walking trails. Very pretty place.

Beautiful hotel wonderful staff very clean comfortable beds ands pillows great spa soap and lotion good choice for breakfast waffles eggs bagels fruit cereal yogart juices coffee tea Toast the only down fall hallways were very hot the ice maker not working on third floor had to go to second floor shade in my room came down and my room only smelled like smoke but a beautiful place with a spa I didn’t try it we all loved this history of the place thank you to the friendly staff

I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels while traveling for fun or work and I must say Traditions is one of my new favorites and I’ll definitely be back again this year to spend a few days more. The hotel is not your brand new hotel it’s got charm, history, hiking trails, waterfalls, golf, a spa and the most amazing salt cave. Dinner was delicious at their small bar restaurant and the included breakfast was wonderful. This place is up a nice hill overlooking Binghamton where you can see gorgeous sunrises as well. Staff checking and checking out was very nice and the spa soaps and hair products were some of the best I’ve used at a hotel. Do yourself a favor and skip the hotels in town and stay here.

Beautiful setting

I had a great stay at this hotel. I have stayed at several hotels whilst traveling and they were very accommodating and friendly. I was late to check in and they very understanding as I was driving up moving from another state (Virginia) on my way up to Vermont and got a bit backed up and behind schedule since I was still packing everything up. Anyhow, I would definitely stay here again if I was ever in the area. It was quiet, very clean, the staff was very friendly and understanding and they offered a wonderful breakfast complimentary with scrambled eggs, loads of bacon, various cereal options, fresh homemade waffles, fruit, bagels, and more. I love breakfast so I definitely partook in that offer. If I had more time, I would have visited the spa. I am not sure how costly it is, but it would have been worth looking into because I am a big fan of deep tissue massage. What was nice was that they actually offered the spa products as the bath products to use in the room and they were pretty good I must say. Overall, I had no complaints. Everything in the room functioned properly, cleanliness was five stars, and it had this old colonial 17th-18th century charm/aesthetic to it that made it feel inviting and quaint. It was a nice escape from modern day living and I felt like I was at an elegant bed and breakfast feel versus a corporate style hotel which nothing wrong with those. Sometimes an escape to a rolling hill country side cottage trumps the 20th century 80 story skyscraper.

Absolutely beautiful, century-old hotel with some amazing history. Our room was clean and very spacious. We had an outside deck which was really nice for sitting outside. Two drawbacks:the deck seemed to need some work and the hair dryer in the bathroom was useless. Highly recommended.

Room and hallways smelled like mildew. The room was clean but very small. It was ina desperate need of updates. Small tv, no refrigerator and the bed was right under the window that had plastic holders for the drapes that constantly hit your head. Ice machine was not working. Prompt service upon asking for more blankets, however, the attendant that brought them was trying to see into our room, WEIRD! The bed was also very comfy.

First time we stayed here! The survey is asking us what we liked. We liked leaving. We saw pubic hair in the bath tub when neither of us had taken a shower yet; needless to say, we were upset and let the front desk know. The room was so tiny that only one person could be off the bed at a time because there was no room to move. The ad boasted a huge room with a fireplace in the photo, and it was fake; just lights and not even fake logs with propane. So they should not be advertising rooms with fireplaces if the fireplaces are only decorations. At 9:20 AM (checkout is 11:00, I believe) a maid walked right into the room and I was undressed. Granted, my husband had knocked the Do Not Disturb sign off the door when he went to get coffee, but still, don't they knock? Lastly, our room was the first off the lobby, and when I say first, I mean the doorframe began immediately adjacent to the lobby. It was loud and had no privacy. Overall? We would never stay here again. They didn't care a hoot about impressing new guests and they clearly don't clean bathrooms between guests.

We loved our sweet it was a couples getaway. The suite was nice and cozy and everything was clean.

Room was small. No refrigerator.

The staff was excellent, very friendly and accommodating, and the food was fine. But the climate control in the rooms was totally unacceptable. It would be either broiling hot, or ice cold, and there was no air circulation.

Unique property nested a short distance from beautiful walking trails and within a ten minutes drive to the university and downtown Binghamton. Excellent staff, interesting historical property used by IBM. Only complaint was room TV barely larger than a phone book.

Everything was perfect minus no fridge or microwave in the room. Bathroom was remodeled and very nice.

Beautiful property. Comfortable and cozy. A bit dated. Our original room was over the ballroom and the amplification system was very loud. We were moved to another room without a problem. Breakfast could be better.

The walls are paper-thin. We could hear the tv next door as loudly and as clearly as the one in our room.

Nice hotel very dated needs a bit of uplift. Beds are very soft and no fridge in the room. Rooms are very small.

Lovely room with a fireplace, which was quite wonderful in the 10 to 20° temperatures outside. We had the best breakfast with specially made items. Our room was ever so clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed the two chairs in front of the fireplace. And we very much appreciated the pod coffee maker in our room. This is an older building with a lot of history and it has been beautifully renovated, while still keeping some of the original decor.

Room was beautiful and overall a wonderful stay . But this is a luxury hotel , i paid 100 dollars for a mediocre medium steak with no link in the midfke and a piece if frozen salmon then sat and listened to a fat redneck say fhk every 3rd word , it was to the point that my fiancee stood up to confront him ..while in bed at 7pm-9pm it was so loud in the lobby we couldn't sleep , the storage closet behind our room must have been being actively re arranged all day because there was pounding throughout the stay “remember this is the presidential suite” making love in the bathtub was very hard with so much noise . Balcony was wonderful except for the old outdoor furniture with the missing umbrella and the black industrial matts …invest in sone outdoor carpet fir god sakes ..

Quick check in

I had forgitten my cuo there in one of the closets (long story). I gave them a call and they grabbed it for mw to pick up. Not only was it there for mw to pick up the next day, they cleaned it out too! The day time guest service worker was lovely!

The building was beautiful. Loved our room and the views. Bathroom had lots of goodies including q-tips! The staff was so accommodating. Will return for sure!

Poor service from reception on day of check in, bad attitude. Room was very hot, windows did not open, fire dud not switch off and air conditioning did not work. It was 32 degrees outside. Breakfast was disgraceful. Grounds of hotel were very pretty.

The location is great, but the hotel staff was rude. The breakfast is uneatable, frozen bagels, etc. We couldn't sleep in our room because of the noise they did not give us another so we left after one night.

Went to visit a child at Binghamton. It was close to the city, in a beautiful, quiet location. It was a bit less expensive than hotels closer to the university and from experience, quite a bit nicer.

Close to airport and good price. Breakfast was pretty lackluster. Egg patty and only apples for fresh fruit.

Nice night away. The hotel is an older building which lends to its own type of charm. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Wi-fi and water temp were so-so. Area surrounding has many restaurants, shopping, and things were easy to get to.

Convenient nice place close to Binghamton University with old charms

The property itself is beautiful & a short drive from downtown Binghampton. All of the staff were very friendly & helpful. We ate at the restaurant and it was delicious. Overall a great stay.
