Great 3.5-4 star hotel in a good location. Valet parking. Good staff. Comfortable rooms. Nice small roof deck. No gym. Very basic breakfast is included. Unlimited tea, coffee and snacks all day.

Stayed for three nights on a girls trip. The room was spacious and clean. Comfortable beds (including the sofa bed). Staff was always friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the coffee and light breakfast every morning and appreciated the snacks available throughout the day. The rooftop terrace was a great getaway and still nice to visit during our late October stay. Would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay. People in the front desk and in the lobby were there to greet us every time. Very pleasant. The continental breakfast was well stocked and maintained throughout the entire morning and was included in the rate. The one drawback, is that there is no workout facility.

The giraffe was in a great location. It was clean. It was quiet. The air conditioning worked. The only thing that I would say is that it was quite hot in the hallway and the elevators were extremely slow and looked worn.

We had a lovely stay here - the staff go out of their way to offer assistance and there is a collegial vibe even amongst guests… one of the perks of a boutique hotel. 24/7 food & drinks in the lobby was extremely convenient and much appreciated. We’ll definitely be back.

The property is clean, spacious, and friendly enough. My room was not ready at 3 pm when I arrived. The bath tub/shower did not drain well. Room does not have coffee maker or phone charger. If you forget your charger, front desk not helpful. Compared to my past stays, seems that The Giraffe has lost its special qualities, its personable service, and its attention to detail.

I used to stay in this hotel years ago when my daughter studied in NYU. It is always comfortable, clean and in a convenient location near the subways. Now I visit NY 2-3 times a year and stay at a Marriott. Hotel Giraffe is still a comfortable place to stay in but just needs some TLC. The room we stayed in is quite outdated but clean.

So this hotel was a nightmare, It is well located and has a nice refreshment bar downstairs, but the room was super dirty, and the blankets and linens were old and kind of stain. The worst happened on the last day of our stay, I found a huge cockroach in the room, and I told the receptionist, and she told me being super carefree, oh I'm sorry... and that was it, nothing else, not even offering to take it out of the room... nothing. I add the picture, this is unacceptable for ANY hotel.

The hotel staff were helpful and kind, I had to book last minute when another hotel I was at nearby lost heat. The room was so clean and I felt comfortable there. Highly recommend this if you enjoy a smaller high quality hotel 10/10

The staff are friendly and professional, and the hotel is clean. However the hotel advertises queen size beds that are actually full size beds. The showers are antiquated and uncomfortably small. The AC system can't regulate itself consistently. It blasts then goes off then goes back to blasting again. It all detracts from the overall comfort.

Stayed for 1 night with an oversized vehicle. Room had a juliet balcony with vews of Park Avenue. Nice rooftop garden with seating. Beautiful hotel with character. Very professional and friendly staff.

Liked the hotel very much, and would stay again. We loved having the tea and coffee bar available. Didn't feel as though the windows kept the noise out well, but hey it's New York. Great location. Even though we had a "do not disturb" sign out, a cleaning person entered our room. I had one concern where a door man seemed to be riding a cleaning gentleman. I could be wrong, but he seemed to be bullying the man cleaning the floors and tables. It made me very uncomfortable. The man was speaking in another language, so I'm hoping that I misread the vibe.

The rooms are spacious and the windows seem to block the street noise much better than other area hotels, which is a huge plus! We did however have trouble with our air conditioner, which would cool the room when we were not there, but overnight would be 10 degrees warmer than what we set it to. I would not stay there in the summer, but it was manageable in the winter.

We had a one bedroom suite at the hotel and it was a very large room nicely appointed. The hotel has a small lobby with some snacks put out daily. There are not a lot amenities at this hotel but the staff was very helpful and welcoming. The room was cleaned daily with very nice toiletries. There is a subway stop 2 blocks from the hotel. Our only "concern" was the soundproofing in our room. We did hear a lot street noise - sirens - etc... in our room. We were on the 6th floor.

Very cozy stay. A quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of the city. My only complaint is the thin walls. You can hear everything outside of your room in both the hallways and the streets, and people can hear everything within your room.

Good hotel with breakfast included. Nice big rooms but the fridge was missing in our room but our friends rooms. The electric window blinds are not very good and let in quite a bit of light, but the hotel is in a good location.

We had an exceptional stay at Hotel Giraffe. I made a mistake with my booking and the staff helped me get a different room. the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and clean. the continental breakfast was nice and the location was convenient to all parts of the city. we would absolutely stay here again. my teens said this was their favorite location in nyc as we could walk uptown, midtown, and to soho.

Rooms are fine but dated. Suite layout was odd, with desk in the sleeping room vs the living room. At check-in we were told, unapologetically, that the property was out of non-feather pillows. We have allergies so had to arrange delivery by Instacart. Front desk person made it clear it was our problem not the hotel’s. We arrived within one hour of official check-in btw.

This is a lovely boutique hotel on the east side. One block from a subway station. The hotel room was spacious and very comfortable. I received a call in advance of my arrival, asking if there were any special requests. I asked for no down pillows, and on arrival, all pillow were memory foam or non-down alternative. They also put a memory foam mattress topper instead of the usual feather bed. Service was therefore excellent. The continental breakfast in the lobby in the mornings was very nice, with a wide variety of foods, including bagels, pastries, croissants, hard boiled eggs, cereals, yogurt and fruit. Throughout the day, one could stop by and get some fruit or snack bars. I highly recommend Hotel Giraffe and will certainly stay there again!

This is easily my favorite hotel in NYC and frankly my favorite hotel of any place I have ever stayed. The staff is what makes it’s special; they are consummate professionals. The hotel is clean and in a great location.

The room was large by New York standards and the room was very clean and in very good condition. The hotel does not have a bar or restaurant. The neighborhood appears to shut down by 9pm even on the weekend. I couldn’t even by sparkling water at CVS because they closed so early. No vibe. Not for me.

We stay in Manhattan a lot and this was a lovely hotel in a great location. Staff was all nice and helpful. The King Suite was spacious and the balcony is great on a spring day. Snacks and drinks in the lobby all day. This is likely to become our new favorite when in town

The property was very close to transportation and many restaurants but because it was located on a busy corner it was very noisy with sirens, horns honking and construction trucks passing by all night long. The building opposite it was under construction. The room was outdated but very spacious, clean and comfortable. There was no fan or window in the washroom. Although there was a 24 hour snack program in the main lobby and a good continental breakfast it would have been nice to have a coffee machine and a fridge in our room. There was a lovely rooftop patio but it was only available to us for part of our stay. Although there was a bar and restaurant associated with the property it was in the basement rather than on the main floor. The staff was very polite and attentive and tried to make our stay enjoyable.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough Nowhere in the city is cheap, but what you need is value and this hotel gives that Location- walkable to everywhere, close enough to everything but just out of the craziness People - super friendly staff who really look after you Clean - clean, comfortable room. Even had a balcony Facilities- breakfast, snacks, roof top, super place Many thanks and we will be back 😊😊

Hotel Giraffe was a great find and was perfect for my family's stay in New York. We stayed in a 1 bed suite with sofabed. The room was great - very clean and spacious Having the continental breakfast option was such a boon. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate at Audace adjacent to the hotel and had a meal that we'll be raving about for a long time! Delicious! I'd highly recommend this propery and will definitely stay at it again on any future visits to New York.

We had a lovely stay here - the staff go out of their way to offer assistance and there is a collegial vibe even amongst guests… one of the perks of a boutique hotel. 24/7 food & drinks in the lobby was extremely convenient and much appreciated. We’ll definitely be back.

Remarkable and wonderful staff with clean rooms and excellent location to be close to tourist sites but not in the middle of the tourist crowds. Suite was a bit uncomfortable due to furniture choices and a really awful "sofa bed" where the cushions slide off opening to the metal frame of the bed underneath. That hurt when my hand slipped into the gap. Breakfast was a very basic American continental style with a few pastry options, oatmeal, fruit and yogurt, and underwhelming. Overall, wouldn't turn away from staying again here, but would comsider alternate options first just for a more comfortable living space in the suite.

The hotel is beautifully maintained and in an excellent location. The staff is lovely and only too happy to help. I do find that improvements could be made. First off they charge a $25 daily resort fee which I think is more or less a scam considering this is not a resort. I asked what we get for it and they said breakfast and snacks. There is no gym nor pool. The breakfast is really paltry and completely sub par. They serve mini scones danish and croissants. A hard boiled egg and yogurt do not constitute a healthy breakfast nor even a continental breakfast; more like a fattening snack. They also have no business center so don’t plan on printing or faxing. Lastly the room has few outlets available to charge the multiple devices we travel with. It is crazy in this day and age to have no outlet or charging posts on nightstands or desk. They do have an old school clock with an early generation phone dock with to play music taking up the only outlet near a nightstand. If you plan to stay here be sure you bring a charger with multiple USB ports!

I have stayed in this amazing hotel many times and have never encountered any issues that were unpleasant. The staff is wonderful- especially helpful this trip. The location is ideal- many restaurants nearby and easy subway access. My room was very quiet- facing 26th St rather than Park Avenue South. The hotel provides a nice breakfast assortment of pastries, bagels and yoghurts along with fruit and coffee. And there is a good Italian restaurant next store that is open for lunch and dinner, and two big drugstores close by. My only (small) complaint is the hotel does not provide body lotion, although there is shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is in a great part of town, convenient to transportation. The hotel itself is a little old, but really well maintained, and breakfast in the morning is well done. Staff were amazing. We had a room with a balcony, although you can really only stand on the balcony. There’s a rooftop garden, which is really cute, but way too hot to sit out there on a summer day.
