Holiday Inn Express Olean, NY

We enjoyed our stay here recently. The breakfast was good, pool was decent but a bit dirty, and the room was spacious and immaculate. Worth the price and we would stay again.

The service was great! Asked for a rollaway bed and it was brought up and set up before we brought our luggage from the car. Included breakfast, coffee and water bottles were very nice. We enjoyed the pool area and had dinner on the outdoor patio which was great.

Friendly service, decent breakfast, and the best part was a warm pool to unwind after a long drive. So many other hotel pools are too cold to get in.

We were in Olean for a surprise birthday party event. We were surprised to get a phonecall before our arrival concerning whether we'd be concerned if we arrived and the pool was not open (due to problems they've had with the chemical balance in the water). The hotel advised they'd made arrangements for its customers to use a pool at another close-by hotel. We had not intended to go swimming, but thought this was great customer service. We had great accommodations, very clean, comfortable, and with all angles covered. Also the breakfast bar was the best I've ever been to. We highly recommend this hotel if you've got to stay in Olean, especially since it's literally right off I-86 and at the location of the central business district.

I stayed here last night while visiting family in the area. I needed a room with air conditioning due to health reasons and booked here in a pinch. My rate was $195.00 and I feel like I got hosed for what I got. Building: The location itself is good, parking lot in the back is not well lit and I did not feel safe as a solo female traveler. Lobby was ok, I could see visible wear on furnishings and the bench I sat at for breakfast was visibly stained and felt gross. Room: at first look it was clean, the air conditioning was functional and the room was cool. The bed was fine, sheets were very soft, and I slept fairly well considering I don't sleep well in hotels. Bathroom: noticeable wear on the furnishings, mirror looked like the mirror surface was peeling, shower was comically small, and there was haphazard repairs on the shower wall. This morning I noticed something on the wall that looked like dried nose juice from a juicy sneeze and that really grossed me out. After seeing that I was like ok I'm outta here. Staff: front desk yesterday afternoon was incredibly friendly, and the breakfast attendant was also quite personable. Guy at the front desk at check out seemed annoyed that I bothered him to check out and was a bit curt. Bottom line: I won't stay here again. If I need to stay in the area again I am going to find somewhere else.

Decent breakfast. Staff was quick to respond to requests like refilling hot water for hot chocolate, more towels in pool. They have an affiliation with local 24/7 gym across town which we used twice ... very nice.

Didn’t feel safe walking in the area of town where the motel was located, but loved the hotel. Breakfast was amazing and the staff was excellent. Room was so very clean and the bed was comfortable. Stayed in room 116. It was mobility accessible and nice and dark for sleeping. Highly recommend this motel for passing through on vacation. Town looked beautiful but arrived too late for strolling. Wasn’t sure about safety in this part of town for walking, but it might be just fine. Would stay here again. Loved that we had a microwave and mini fridge in the room and a fitness facility on site.

Great hotel. Clean and spacious room. Has amenities like pool, gym and business centre. Breakfast had decent options. Conveniently located near restaurants and Elicottville. Will definitely visit again

Very nice place to stay, not too far from skiing resorts. Clean, beds are very comfy. I slept like a baby. Also, my friends and I were swimming in that pool, there were extra towels. I do recommend this hotel!

Stayed at beginning and ending of a trip. 1st visit, easy, clean, nice breakfast. Came back on a Monday evening. Given two different rooms that were not cleaned or serviced. , given a 3rd room where thermostat was not working. Given 4th room that reaked with a pot smell. 5th room on a different floor, clean, quiet like our first stay. It was like the 1st floor was not serviced by housekeeping that day. Maybe some communication or staffing issue. But the front staff and the breakfast staff were very nice. I would stay again as long as housekeeping works on the rooms first

Room was on the first floor when first walking in did appear to have a smell of smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room

Employee was very respectful and considerate. The elevator was nasty. The rooms mirrors and windows were nasty.

The room was filthy. When we got to our room there was feces on the back of the toilet seat. The bathroom floor was sticky like it was not cleaned. The bed was hard and very uncomfortable. The woman working at the front desk was a little crazy and not very accommodating.

Rooms wasn’t clean and had garbage left behind under rolling chair from previous guest.

Location was easy and breakfast was awesome with healthy and kosher options. Unfortunately, mildewed bathroom, key issues after 1st use, no towels for pool so we had to use room towels,tub would not drain, and actually had to plunge the sink.no manager on site to speak with either night.

Not the cleanest room. Bathroom needs some fixing as well. Did however like how big our room was. That was nice.

My room was beautiful, roomy and comfortable. It was convenient to have a warm breakfast every day and a cheerful lady working on it. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

The only thing I didn’t like was you could hear the commode flushing from many rooms in our proximity.

We stayed here due to the proximity to Holiday Valley skiing. Our room was acceptable but not great. There weren’t really many decorations/pictures on the wall in the hotel and it made it seem sort of empty. The cabinets in our rooms were a little sticky. It was acceptable but not luxurious.

Dining options in walking distance. Property was clean. Corner shower was to small for comfortable shower. Room space could have been used more efficiently.

Clean, convenient. We like to have AC running all night, and this one didnt. We were overly warm and the bed was hard.

Very spacious room. The bed was very comfortable. Nice big and clean bathroom. Breakfast options were also pretty good. Would stay here again.

. The walls are extremely thin I could hear EVERYTHING going on. The place needs some updating but it’s clean enough for a pop in.

Staff was great dealing with our group of baseball kids and their families. Gave good suggestions for local food.

Desk staff was very nice. Our room hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived at 6:15 pm, and we were told housekeeping was gone for the day and there were no other rooms available. Desk clerk did make the bed, but we paid $417 for a room that was dirty from the last guests. I’ll be asking for a refund.

The front staff went above and beyond for us. Their service is what makes this hotel special

Great breakfast, one of the best supplied and managed. The lady that manages the breakfast area is super! Very friendly and does a great job. I have been back a few times and she is always there greeting everyone, I can tell she loves her job. Thank you very much!

Just didn’t feel welcomed or safe in the area as a person of color.

Hotel was clean and convenient location for our stop over. Restaurant within walking distance.

What I appreciated the most were the complimentary breakfasts and water bottles. I also enjoyed using the fitness room. Value is the top quality and convenient location to the interstate as well.

Breakfast area was neglected, and out of some main items.

Garbage in the room. Breakfast was eggs and sausage no waffles or pancakes. Staff was nice. Close to lots of things.

Staff always friendly and helpful. Breakfast has something for everyone and healthy choices plus fresh fruit. Plenty of parking. Beds are great and love the choice of 2 kinds of pillows. Landscaping is lovely.
