Holiday Inn Express Painted Post by IHG

This hotel is still under modification before finishing them at end of this month as I was told. It's somewhat noisy near the highway from our room and it's only a few people who booked this hotel even it's on Saturday. The room had been upgraded completely except the very old and smelly carpet. I did not understand why the carpet is not replaced. perhaps it will. Then the hotel and rooms are very new and clean.

Room appeared clean but everything in the room needs updating, replacing or touched up. Check in is listed for 2pm and upon our arrival at 5pm, our room (and many others) were not ready and still needed to be cleaned. Housekeeping were still cleaning rooms after 7pm. Pool was not open, ice machine was broken and elevator broke.

Property is in the process of renovations and room was nicely renovated. Very clean and upgraded room. Loved the room and bathroom. Staff at front desk very friendly. Will definitely stay here again!

Elevator floor was dirty. Motel under construction. We had a limited grab and go breakfast that we had to eat in our room.

I stayed here to participate in a half marathon race near by. It was perfect for that. Quiet, comfy bed, room temp good for sleeping, microwave, Kureg, good sized fridge. Hassle free check in and out. Looked up my hotel points number for me and added it quickly. Nice indoor heated pool, great for post race. They had water bottles, bananas and granola bars out when I left the hotel at 5 am. Nice touch! It’s not fancy, and there’s no restaurant or bar (free breakfast which I didn’t have time to try) but if you don’t need that, this is a great place. Isn’t in an area that’s seen better days, you drive past an abandoned fast food restaurant to access the parking lot, so there is zero curb appeal, but again, if you don’t need this is your place!

Very close to downtown Corning, where there are tons of options for eating out and shopping. We booked this hotel for the pool for our daughter, but the pool was closed down sunday morning which was a bummer. Other than that, great experience.

I want to start with the front desk person was great and could not have done anything better. The pool was closed for routine maintenance and that was the main thing we looked for in a hotel as a stop over on a long road trip to tire the kids out. Knowing this ahead of time would have been nice since it was a scheduled closure. When we got to the room it smelled musty but I tried to ignore it. My 7 year old son laid in the bed and said the bed was wet. Both beds felt wet like sheets, blankets and pillows weren’t put in the dryer just all over wet. We called the front desk and they moved us to another room which was better. Overall a disappointing stay but we made the best of it.

The hotels pool was not functioning, it was not advertised and I had a very upset child. We made it work but there should be some sort of process to alert people that the hotel is not working. I purposely booked this hotel Because of the pool. Laura at the front desk was very sincere about the entire situation but it was still disappointing. The hotel is under renovation which is fine but still, wouldn’t have booked it because we had to bring our breakfast upstairs to our room which is a lot with a small child. The options were good tho. Not big deal. Just should have been alerted some how.

No sign on the road marking hotel entrance. Without Google maps wouldn’t have found it. Hotel jus so so. Dirty stairwell.

Bed sheets are dirty, air conditioner is very noisy, and I could hear water flowing sound from upstairs through the wall.

Girls Weekend in Corning Very friendly and kind front desk young woman. We were made to feel right at home. Clean and spacious room. Excellent breakfast. Family friendly

This place was exceptional! Every single staff member was polite and wanted to be helpful. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and available till 10 with fresh offerings - not what has been sitting there all morning. Would absolutely recommend!!

Tired property in need of a general overhaul. Small pockets of mold around bathtub. Breakfast was quite limited and what was offered was mediocre in taste at best. We've come to expect a higher standard from a Holiday Inn Express property. We will not be staying at this location again.

The tile floor in the room was very sticky dirty. No one at the front desk. Hidden behind a gas station.

Very clean, quiet hotel. Comfortable beds, large bathroom with dove brand soaps/etc. Great breakfast selection. Felt very clean and overall great hotel stay.

Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with a clean, generously sized bathroom. The bed was great for a good night's sleep. The only minor issue was the limited number of towels. The hotel also features a beautiful large pool, although we didn’t have a chance to use it during our stay. One unexpected highlight was the coffee machine in the lobby—it served one of the best cups of coffee we’ve had, and a staff member mentioned it was just a few days old. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety to choose from. Overall, a great experience—we would definitely stay here again!

Second issue is upon returning from an activity the front desk employee was talking to another employee using very vulgar degrading language about a guest or another employee. Location wasn’t a good representation of IHG.

Quiet, clean, comfy

The hotel is very clean and modern, with free parking. Even though it’s right next to a major highway, I didn’t hear any noise at all. The location is great – just a quick 5-minute drive to Walmart and only 7 minutes to Corning town center and the Museum of Glass. It’s an ideal spot for both convenience and comfort. Highly recommend!

Great hotel, easy access to highway system and downtown Corning. Clean, friendly. Only weakness is the room air conditioning system which blows air under the desk, which keeps it from properly heating/cooling the room.

The property was in back of a 7-11, very industrial area. The location is right off a highway, I heard cars and trucks all night. Windows should be triple paned glass.

We arrived around 10pm and stayed one day. Based our observation on the parking area , the hotel looked like more than half of them empty. But we were arranged the room on the 2nd floor facing to walls of middle of building. Anyway, we did not complain but not felt well.

Breakfast was amazing, nice room. Lots of traffic noise from the road. I’d request a room at the front of the hotel rather than getting one on the back side next time.

Excellent customer service, clean rooms, washrooms, well maintained property. Nick, Odessa, Carl were some of the staff we interacted with who were super friendly and nice.

I resrved 2 rooms with 2 people in each room. I received itinerary numbers for each, but when we arrived, only one room was found and all the others were unavailable. The desk clerk said our money would be refunded and recommended another place where all 4 of us could stay.

Right off highway

The first appearance when you enter this hotel from the main road is like an abandoned place very poorly maintained entrance, old gas station on the left and a closed and abandon restaurant on the right, hotel hidden on the back road, not very good first impression. Missing a sign on the main road to advertise the hotel. I even passed and had to do a U turn . I will not recommend this hotel if you stay on the back rooms , to noise and very close to the highway 86. Overall was clean, and the beds were comfy, I don’t recommend the pool. The water is cold so don’t even try in the winter, I was there in August and I was out in a couple minutes. One night was raining and you can hear the cars like they were inside the rooms,this is for the poor windows Installed not Insulated. For $200 a night the breakfast was very poor. Everything is premade sugary and not fresh, fake butter and my favorite are the Bagels was the only think I had and was not fresh also but toasted passed the test, all other bread is not good since is all sliced and I don’t eat that junk, so second day I went out for breakfast.To expensive for a night sleep. I will try not to rely on breakfast at the hotels because most are not good. Sorry this is my honest review

This hotel is way back of the road, there is not a sign, or arrow indicating where to turn. We passed it twice.

Need to have sign on the road. Hard to find the entrance, hiddem by a decreptive abandoned building and a so so gas station. Really not up to standard.

Breakfast was so so at best, ran out of stuff early about halfway thru, I asked if they had more of the food that ran out was told no more until tomorrow. Realizing this is complimentary but the food should be enough for anyone staying and having it offered to them. Also the walls are very thin, could hear the people next door as if they were in our room

Room & facilities were fine. Breakfast was very disappointing with food barely warm and the juice machine out of order.

The front check-in girl was great! She was friendly. Great customer service and even got me in my room a little early. I thought her name was Sara. not sure. I checked in on the 19th of Oct. the room was clean. We didn't go to breakfast until about 0945. Breakfast was to 11 Everything was empty. I went back to the room and gathered my stuff. loaded the car and about 1025 We came back and it was all still empty. I went to the desk and asked the young gentlemen about it. they said they ran out. so I left and went out to eat. GO TO BREAKFAST EARLY!

Overall the property and room were nice, clean, and comfortable. However, the breakfast was poor: The food was burned and there was no juice or yogurt, even though we ate during the middle of the breakfast period. In particular, the juice machine was out of order, and although the hotel provided jugs of juice instead, they quickly ran out, and when we asked whether there was more, they simply said they were sorry, that was all they had.
