Econo Lodge Darien Lakes

Nice place to stay, everything was good. There isn’t an elevator to the second floor so we had to bring all our stuff up a flight of stairs, had I known, (maybe I missed it in the description) I would have packed differently. I wish they offered breakfast. Otherwise it was great, thank you!

This was a nice hotel to stay close to the Buffalo area. Clean rooms and pet friendly. Fridge and microwave in room was also a plus. Well maintained property and price was average.

Loved the patio setting to enjoy the outdoors.

Its what you expect from a cheap hotel. Nothing fancy but comfortable beds, A/C in the rooms, friendly staff, coffee/tea/hot chocolate available in the lobby in the morning. There was a Subway next door, Tims 2 mins away. There is a large truck stop infront of the hotel but we felt safe. Free parking, vending and ice machines. Rooms had fridge/freezer and microwave which is always super convenient. Will stay here again whenever we come to Darien Lake.

It was nice that they offered (a very affordable) shuttle service to/from the Six Flags concert venue.

was disappointed no breakfast in the morning. had a nice covered patio out back did ha e plenty of options for activities. soda machine was broken, outside door didnt really function correctly. fridges and microwaves in the rooms were a nice addition

The pictures showed updates rooms. Ours was not. No elevator. You have to walk up and drag your luggage up to the 2nd floor.

Room was old but clean. Halls and public places stunk like old clothes and cigarettes.

The rooms were very clean. I checked for creepy crawlys in the bed sheets and whatnot and everything was perfectly clean. The staff was super nice and down to earth. The sleep was very quiet.

This was a really rundown facility poorly maintained smell like cigarette smokes every way where. Filthy inside rat running around outside as we were leaving. I would never stay here or recommend it nor should you even offer it to people you care about.

The hotel rooms were a little older. The hallways smelled of stale cigarettes, beds were clean but floors could use some scrubbing. They’ve been changed from carpet to laminate and just walking around our room barefoot for a bit our feet were black. Staff were nice though

I found a candy wrapper in the middle of the floor when I walked in. While the hotel indicates that it is non-smoking, the smell of cigarette smoke permeated the hallway, and my room

The service was great! The room was absolutely gross! Upon entering the room it was SO humid. The toilet didn't flush, it just recycled urine, which made the whole room smell like urine, we could see outside behind the AC due to the holes in the wall, the entire building smelled of Marijuana, and it was very dusty in the room. The bathroom appeared to have blood all over the back of the door.

The registration was super easy. Marion was really nice. The property is a little dated, old musty smell, non-smoking room, but if you’re just staying the night to get some rest, it’s doable. There “were” 2 whopping baby cockroaches-which, honestly, one - I flushed it down the sink the evening we got there & the other was spotted the morning we were checking out-it lived to scare another patron (jk). Is it the end all, be all-no, but for that price-meh-it is what it is. We stayed 2 nights & a day. In terms of cleanliness-it’s clean, I suppose. One of the beds’ outermost cover (for cosmetics) did have some stains on it - we just took it off. The bed itself - is clean & is ok comfy, pillows-not so much. There is a heavy presence of Lead in the water (you can smell it and kinda taste it), bring your own shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash - the lodge provides, but very tiny tiny bottles. Otherwise, if you’re not picky-it’s really doable. Property is pretty secure, need room key to enter front doors to get to your room. Parking is decent, good lighting. There are a couple of food/fast food restaurants around. Denny’s across the street & Subway to the right of the lodge. There’s a couple of stores around - just google it. It’s approximately 11 mins drive to Six Flags - not too bad. Over-all, I’d recommend-if you’re generally staying for a couple of days. Don’t expect 3*, but - friendly staff. The family was happy staying at the Econolodge. No complaints.

It would have been preferred to have breakfast included and the air conditioner was noisey and broken and smelled odd. It was a convenient location but they should really do some upgrading.

Manager was sarcastic, hotel is very dated/old room tv was at least 25yrs old. Limited to only one restaurant thats inside a service station. Room was clean bathroom was extra small. You get what you pay for

We chose this property because it had good reviews on Expedia however we found The hotel to be somewhat dilapidated and shabby. When we got in our room, it was hot and humid, and when turning on the air conditioner, it blew right onto the bed, which made it difficult to sleep. In addition, we found a hair on the supposedly clean sheets. The alarm clock in our room didn’t work, there was a carpenter ant that emerged from beneath the toilet (even though we were on the second floor) and the lobby is old and outdated with an ancient lazy boy recliner randomly placed in the lobby. The parking lot was not well lit nor maintained, and given the area the hotel did not feel entirely safe. After arriving at midnight we were exhausted but after a few hours of interrupted sleep we left abruptly at 5 AM. Although the staff were very friendly, the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel was not worth the stay. If I had to do it again, I would’ve paid the extra $ to stay somewhere else.

For a no-frills hotel, this place is a pretty good deal. The room is spacious, clean, has a comfortable bed, WiFi that works pretty well, close access to the interstate, and ample parking. The staff is really freindly and helpful.

My mom has two broken bones on her pelvis and is on a walker. The room was on the second floor. When the sweet lady at the desk saw her, she automatically moved the room to the first floor and told her to use a handicap parking space. What great customer service!!!

We stopped for the night and the front desk associate named Marion was absolutely amazing and was by far the most friendly and accommodating hotel associate we've ever had the pleasure of encountering.

Was charged $174 for a night I already paid for. Poor staff communication. Be cautious of double dipping then excuses will come in.

This is a good little stop if you’re visiting for a concert or event at Darien Center. It’s obviously old and a little worn out, but for the price it’s clean and safe. There’s a Denny’s across the street, a Subway, and stop truck stops for food within walking distance. It’s not fancy, but the staff is AMAZING. They are extremely helpful and a pleasure to be around. If you need a clean, safe place to stay, you can confidently book this.

Stay at Econ lodge was like a home away from home. Highly recommend this hotel. Staff made us like family and accepted our dog cooper like he was one of theirs. Will definitely be back when we travel the area again

It was like they were doing the bare minimal and not caring the staff smelled like smoke or the hall ways, the parking lot and hall ways were dirty, the night staff was very disrespectful making guests in comfortable slamming things, talking out loud that she didn’t want to be there and complaining. The house keepers smell like cigarette smoke. Not recommending this place at all.

Property maintained very goid only thing is it is Far from the falls we visited. It took almost 1 hour by car.

It was close to food and gas

Hotel was a little hard to find. GPS gave us a bit of difficulty. Not a bad location though for an overnight sleep spot. Denny's across the street that's open all night and a Flying J that's 24 hours. Bed was very comfortable, motel is just very dated.

I liked that it was clean & conveniently located near the venue that I was attending.

Older facility, grounds and building in need of maintenance. Room was exceptionally clean. Advertised breakfast was not available. Cost of an extra cot in the room more than advertised.

The term continental breakfast was a very liberal term for the coffee, tea and cocoa that were available. Had I known that there would not be food for breakfast I would have opted for a different property with a similar price.

Only real pitfall was breakfast wasn't offered when it says it was included with the stay. Staff was very friendly, we were given a free upgrade on our room. Beds were clean and comfortable.
