Super 8 by Wyndham Bellefontaine

Nice room, nice staff. Only downfall was no elevator and we were on the second floor.

The property itself really needs some updating and TLC. Staff and manager both doing what they can to keep it up to par but motel is very much dated. Manger was very nice when our reservation was incorrect. Cleaning staff was very polite and accommodating. Breakfast was on the very cheap side, but it is a motel so expected. I did not like the fact that you didn’t need your key to enter the property. Exterior doors did not lock.

Don't let the pictures fool you. While the rooms have had some remodeling, a giant picture above the bed, a fashionable bedspread, & vinyl plank flooring don't always make for a remodeled room! This place is still plenty outdated & needs some work. It's really just attention to detail & the envelope left on the tv stand/dresser (with handwriting on it saying 'housekeeping tips') is almost comical. Perhaps housekeeping should pay closer attention to the bubbling, chipped paint falling from above the bathroom mirrors into the light fixture, or the dirty light switch, or the mold/dirt where the tub meets the floor/wall/ceiling in the bathroom, or opened coffee/plasticware packages by the coffee pot, or black duct tape holding down pieces of the plank flooring. When unpacking/packing the car there were people that, I'm guessing, might even be living in the hotel, coming and going. As other reviewers have eluded to the second floor have permanent tenants, I bet these people were them. Also, there were definitely some skunks on the run in the hallways, as the smell was definitely there! There were quite a number of 'air purifier' type machines in the halls & one in the room, at least that's what I assume they were, however, these things need to be cleaned & taken care of, which I bet these are not. There are also multiple giant fans in the halls, again, for mildew smells or the skunks, who knows? I wanted to save $ & stay outside Columbus, but I won't stay here again.

Only thing is the sign next to the road had burnt out lights so you can't see where the hotel is.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The bed was hard as a rock. No elevator had to carry everything upstairs. Plaster from the walls on the floor. I won’t be staying here again. A side note, the staff are very friendly

My guest and I stayed over this past weekend for a wedding nearby. I liked that there was a front staff employee that was accomodating when I asked that my guest and I check in to our room separately as we were arriving at different times. Otherwise we were not fans of our entire experience. I ended up not being able to check in as their lobby closes after 8 pm and there was no staff to be found. I ended up needing to wait for my other guest to come let me in for the night. The hallways smell and there is no insulation between the door and the trim so a lot of light and noise are let into the room. The top sheets had really visible staining on them and our floor was filthy, with a lot of dust and dirt everywhere. I understand that you get what you pay for when you get a cheaper hotel but I was hoping for better as the last times I have used Super 8 I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality and service. Just overall really disappointed as our experience cut into our ability to get some sleep and do what we needed to do while visiting.

Bedsheets were stained and big hair ball on top of shelf above clothes hangers

There were white marks on the comforter and bed skirt. Also, trash on the head of bed up against the wall.

Extremely disappointed with the super eight. I had a decent check in and went up to the room and was extremely disappointed from the second We hit the stairwell. The whole place reeked of cigarettes, and ironically, there were no smoking signs all over the place, clearly marked our room had cigarette burns in the chair and on the bed along with somebody else’s hair on the pillows on arrival. Went to the lobby to try to get a new room And was not able to get anywhere after talking To the extremely disrespectful hotel manager Bob Bhavsar. Super eight should probably find a new manager, along with some carpet extremely disappointed with how long it took to get refunded and the quality of hotels that are in Expedia’s repertoire.

This place smelled so bad. The front lobby smelled like skunk and the hallways and room smelled like stale cigarette smoke…even the bath towels and sheets!! The hotel seemed really run down.

The smell of weed was strong in the hallways and in my room at times. The people on the second floor appeared to be living there and were constantly running back and forth between rooms. When I checked in the bed had hair and sesame seeds on it and the toilet wasn't securely fastened to the floor.

We were given a mostly updated room which looked nice and was clean. Unfortunately, the bed was horribly hard and uncomfortable causing us to lose sleep as we tossed all night seeking a comfortable position. It was also missing a headboard which was odd.

Maybe one of the better super 8s that I’ve been and that saying a lot. Could be cleaner and fresher especially when the nonsmoking room still smells like a smoking room

The staff was especially very helpful. The room not so pleasing... Needs to be painted. The pictures had been taken off the wall & it was awful looking & quite ugly! Bathroom sink had no plunger-type plug so had to be extra careful so that nothing would fall fown the drain, like the cap to my toothpaste tube. It would have been nice to have a softy rug on both sides of the bed. The drawers in the TV/ microwave/ fridge cabinet were extremely sticky & inside the drawers were dirty.

Nice staff

The place smelled like smoke horribly, the rooms were not clean and we had ants in our room! Any time I called down to the front desk no one would answer and we would always see staff standing around smoking.

I came in for a Zone Conference with the Eagles. I had no problem with my stay except the check in. The computer didn’t want to do its job. It took a little while to get checked in.

When we got back to our room one evening our door was wide open with all our belongings exposed. No idea how long the door was left opened. Very disturb about that

I arrived to check in at 4:45 pm. There was no one at the front desk. I waited a few minutes. I called the front desk. I ended up calling the front desk 8 times. No one ever answered. I called the 1-800 and spoke to reservations. They tried calling twice. No answer. Finally someone came to the front desk around 5:10 and checked me in. He said he was busy.

, however the bathroom was dirty, the hallway and stairs carpet were filthy, there were chunks of the walls missing and the breakfast, well let’s just say we went to McDonald’s.
