Really nice place. Room was spacious and updated. Bathroom small but nice walkin shower. Typical hard hotel bed. Indoor pool and spa really nice. Outdoor pool and cabanas were awesome. Disappointed that outdoor spa was out of order and had been for sometime according to lifeguard. Cedar Fair should really get it fixed.

It may be pricey to stay but you definitely get what you pay for! They have an outdoor pool and hot tub and they have an indoor pool and hot tub. They have a 18 hole golf course, 2 restaurants, a pond/creek. They have amazing rooms, if you call them direct you can tell them you have a season pass to cedar point if you do, they will confirm and you get a hefty price discount on your hotel stay.

We love coming here,but on this visit we were very disappointed to learn that the outdoor hot tub was out of commission and had been since May.We were informed about this ,not from Management or the front desk @ check-in,but from the lifeguard on duty.As this is the main reason we book here,and it was reserved months ago,it would have been helpful to have received an e-mail with this info.Perhaps we would have made alternate plans.

Sawmill Creek has been beautifully refurbished. It is elegant, yet comfortable. The entire resort is clean and well furnished. The breakfast is outstanding and so convenient! We stayed on the 2nd floor of the Maple Building and there was a bar that served light food with a beautiful view of the lobby below. There are books and reading nooks all around the common areas. There are lovely pools, one is indoors and the other is outside. The 18 hole Tom Fazio designed golf course is outstanding!

Dirty bedding, asked for new, received right away. Very thin walls. Service was amazing, staff was great. Seems like Management/Owners overlook details and care to meet bottom line. Everything (minus staff) was cheap except the price of the stay.

Great facility but sloppy cleaning detail. Light debris on hallway floors throughout. Our room was cleaned daily but felt "dirty" - certainly not worth the nearly 400 dollars per night. Sort of a mildew smell through the area where our room was located. The bed mattresses were uneven and way too soft - need replaced with a better quality product.

This was a beautiful property, with the best staff! Everyone was kind and helpful. Clean, clean, clean! They have lifeguards on staff too. My suggestions to perfect it so I’d return… please have complimentary black coffee & tea. There is no coffee in rooms or in the vestibule, you must purchase at Starbucks. Pool bar wasn’t open, dining options were very limited, especially for kids. A shame to not have pool day snacks & drinks. Emily up front was very helpful as was EVERYONE. Rachel at Starbucks was amazing, busting those orders out so fast, she was so kind, and knowledgable. Overall 10/10, just need to improve food & drink options.

This was our 3rd time staying at Saw Mill. The new remodel is amazing! Everything looked clean, but there is an odor in the rooms that is not pleasant. I’m not sure if it is in the carpet or the a/c filters but it is an unpleasant sweaty sock odor. Many hotels have switched to lvp flooring that can be mopped clean. Removing the carpet might remedy that. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

The room was very clean. The staff was awesome. We ate dinner there on Friday and it was wonderful. Staff works around the clock to keep the facility tidy. There was a large number of children due to a sporting event for pee wee football who were messy and loud, but the staff was still able to keep the property clean. I applaud the staff for working so hard to keep the image up.

The beds and the AC unit is about the only thing we can complain about. To elaborate, the beds felt like and inch or 2 of foam followed by plywood, probably the least comfortable bed we have slept on. The AC, the rooms felt damp and warm, though the thermostate stated 70 deg, no way it was 70. More like 78 and humid, turn it 67 to try and get out some of the moisture. Not a total win, but got it to fell more like 70 and less humid. The staff and facilities were great, 4 stars

The bed was very spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning kept the room a perfect temperature the whole time. The bathrooms were excellent, with among the best hotel showers I've ever experienced. I think the only complaint I'd have is that sound doesn't filter very well and anything that happens in the hallways is very audible. I do wish the rooms had coffee makers, as mine was very far from the café, but it was only a minor inconvenience.

First time visiting but definitely will be back. From the time of check in to check out everything was pleasant. The staff gave great instructions on all the amenities there and places to visit close by. Room was clean and inviting. Beds were comfy and cozy.

A very nice place for an affordable rate. We chose this place for our Cedar Point weekend trip as opposed to the breakers or breakers express. It was cheaper than both of those and only 10 to 15 minutes from the park. We plan to come back and also make time for the golf course. Also, the most comfortable hotel beds we have ever had.

Really great place. Went for a girls trip to visit nearby Vermilion. Pool was a bit congested with kids (baseball teams) and silly but lighting in rooms is just so terrible. We were laughing the entire time we were getting ready. If you want to know how bad you can look- see yourself in the shadowy lighting at Sawmill. Lol but room was wonderful and bed was comfortable.

Room was large and clean. We were in a building farther from the main lobby, restaurants and pool though the hotel parking lot was nearly empty. Restaurant was very good! Had excellent steaks for dinner and then the breakfast buffet in the morning. Friendly staff.

While the hotel room and facilities were nice, the staff was less than helpful. Even at check-in, we weren’t given ANY information about the property. We knew nothing about food/ drink options. We were give a hotel room directly across from a wedding suite for a wedding we were not at the hotel to attend. When we called to mention a concern about noise and partying late at night, staff told us they really “hoped” everything would be fine. The guest services staff seemed to have never been trained in guest service.

Sawmill Creek was a fantastic hotel for our trip to Cedar Point. Both breakfast options (the market and the buffet) had good options at hotel-reasonable prices (perhaps more than if we had ventured out, but too much for my comfort). The rooms were nice, the beds comfortable, and the hallways were quiet. The pools both were great in the limited time we used them. Only a couple of small areas that could have been better: * Not much around the hotel in terms of "local" food options. Milan drive nearby has almost every chain restaraunt imaginable, but we failed to find much that interested our family for a "local" option. * It would have been nice if the hotel had transportation to/from CP, being a CP hotel. Still, pre-scheduling an Uber ride was perfectly fine.

Pro’s-This property was very clean! -Had the option of indoor or outdoor pool so when some storms rolled in, could still use the indoor pool. -Outdoor pool was a comfortable temperature. -Plenty of parking, even with an event going on at the other part of the Resort. Con’s-Didn’t like that our room didn’t have a coffee maker in it, and it felt like you had to go get some coffee from their Starbucks Shop(should be free in rooms for price of room)! -Outside Hot Tub was lukewarm, which was a bummer(need it warmer)! -The biggest thing that bothered me was that even though this is a “Cedar Point” Resort, they didn’t offer shuttles to Cedar Point! Their website said that they did but then realized later it must have meant that they offer car services that you have to pay for. So even though I paid a lot for a couple nights at this Resort, I still had to drive to Cedar Point(down the road) and pay $30 for one day parking!! So next time, I’ll stay at a more affordable hotel, that includes more options for the price.

This place was so good but two items were very impactful….the room had no coffee! Then we are told to go buy coffee and it’s a half mile from the room! If your excuse is that you have a contract w Starbucks charge me $10 night more and put Starbucks in my room. So frustarated

This was my boyfriend and I first vacation together. We celebrated our 2 year anniversary at Sawmill creek resort. Let’s just say it was fantastic, with a breakfast restaurant and a dinner restaurant. Plus Starbucks!! A lovely out door and indoor pool. Just everything was perfect for our first vacation together and our anniversary. The Millers table was great our wonderful waitress helped us celebrate with a delicious crème brûlée dessert. We will definitely be back before summer officially ends! Thank you guys so much what a lovely staff !

The property has recently been remodeled and is beautiful. Outdoor pool area was very nice and there’s a nice walking trail nearby. Our TV didn’t work in our room and the $20/person breakfast buffet was not great. Food was cold and undercooked. Overall, a nice, relaxing resort.

Beautiful hotel and amazing staff. Winter rate was comparable to area hotels. Close to sports center which was reason for visit. My only complaint is there isn’t complimentary coffee, hot water, and cold water in lobby. Nor coffee makers in room. So if you wake before the Market opens @ 6am no morning coffee. Being in the hospitality industry coffee and water is always appreciated for travelers.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The onsite restaurant Miller Table food quality was not great. Wish the restaurant was better. The bartenders made excellent drinks. Would have eaten onsite more if the food was better. The buffet breakfast was not good and disappointed that no a la carte options were available.

The restaurants here seem to struggle. Three large groups came in and shut the kitchen down so we had to leave the property and dine elsewhere. For a resort experience that is disappointing. Pool is the best feature here and that is amazing.
