Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Port Clinton, OH

Fire damage due to a dryer accident the day before we arrived. Long wait for check-in and staff were overwhelmed. Fitness center A/C broken. The balance amount in the receipt was so much lower than what I paid via Expedia.

Wi-Fi did not work. The room needed repairs, toilet seat was broken and bathroom door warped. The breakfast was really good with bacon, eggs and hashbrowns. Fix the Wi-Fi and 8/10. Reasonable price for one night.

The hotel was very clean and well kept. Unfortunately when we were there the WiFi was not working. They were doing some work in the ceiling so all the tiles were removed on the first floor. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was one of the best I've had. It was a full breakfast buffet.

The swimming pool water was cloudy and the elevator did not work. Otherwise things were good.

Unfortunately during our stay the pool was closed for maintenance. Other than that the hotel was very nice

Stayed for one night. Had 2 rooms booked one for myself and one for guests. The indoor pool is excellent and closes at midnight. If you have kids then it’s game changer. The water was not cold and was warm for the babies. It was perfect. Slept good bed were little hard but that’s personal thing. And the breakfast is just amazing, fresh cooked fried eggs, biscuits and gravy, you can make ur own waffles, bagel, muffin, toast and butter, cream cheese etc it was satisfying meal after a drink night. Check out time is generous it is 12 Noon so that’s a big plus. I would stay here again if I have to.

This hotel is dated and in need of renovation. The WiFi is terrible. I was not able to connect my laptop to the internet. I check with the guy at the front desk and he was no help. He said some people can't connect. There was a plumbing problem down the hall and our water was turned off. Also a problem with the cable TV and it was off for a time. The breakfast was good. I will not stay here again.

Run smelled musty. Sheets were dirty. Housekeeping was not available. So the person at the front desk gave us a stack of sheets for us to change ourselves. Pool was filthy.

The bathroom was disgustingly filthy. The bathroom smelled of urine. Mold on wall by tub near the floor. Pubic hair on tub stall wall. Something disgusting on wall near toilet. Bathtub didn't drain well, water backed up into the tub when showering. Toilet wouldn't flush correctly. Trash on floor by bedside table and TV cabinet. No washcloths. I've seen cleaner areas in the group showers and toilet stalls at camp grounds! Hardly what I would have expected from a Radisson. Took photos. May send to Board of Health.

Bathroom tub leaked. Bugs in the bathroom and bath surround filthy, dirt smeared from poor cleaning.

Mold growing in the shower and overall not clean. Simple fixes would make it much better but investment doesn't seem to be there.

Comfortable beds and the friendly staff at breakfast we’re about the only redeemable quality of our stay. I was shocked it was so highly rated, based on the state of disrepair. Bleach stains and trash littered the hallway floor, there were fossilized fruit loops within the elevator. We found stains throughout the carpet of our room and what looked like blood spatter on the ceiling and curtains. It’s a good thing they claim to disinfect with hospital grade cleaning solution.

Room was very dusty. Shower had hair and water marks from previous guests. Pool had no towels and overall not very clean. Staff was nice and breakfast was great.

Bathrooms were pretty gross in the rooms

We left the establishment shortly after we checked in. Extremely disappointed. Check-in was to be at 3 pm. We arrived ~ 430 pm. AFTER we checked in, we were told our room wasn’t ready. Housekeeping was apparently behind because 2nd shift did not come in. We were asked to wait about 15 min. While waiting, we noticed the corner of the lobby and bugs (mostly dead) in the corner to the left of the entrance. Once in our room, there were several issues - 1. Stained pillowcase 2. hair on the bed sheets 3. peeling paint 4. The lamp shade was cracked and stained with a possible hand print and marker and/or blood 5. the tub had mold and mildew along with water stains. 6. The door for the bathroom is cracked, chipped and beaten up 7. At two separate times, the smell of pot drifted through our room. We could not figure out where that was coming from but it seemed to be within the building. 8. We checked out and left the same day but the facility never checked us out. We continued to receive texts asking how our stay was going and then received directions to check out on what was supposed to be our regular day to check out.

The front sliding door of the property was damaged. A whole chunk of the sliding door by the bottom was missing. In the lobby, the furniture was messy and the floor definitely could have been swept. Our room, when my husband went to use the restroom and lifted the seat, he said it was not clean. The room was extremely humid and felt wet. The carpet was wet. There were hairs in the shower. We only stayed here because we were here for bash at the bay and needed to stay. Definitely would not recommend

AWFUL! First of all, I booked through Expedia and was supposed to be at the country inn in Milan. Somehow, we ended up here with my parents ending up in Milan, these two hotels may be under the same name but they are NOT THE SAME QUALITY. When we checked in there was BLOOD ON THE HEADBOARD, popcorn and candy on the floor, soap caked onto the countertops and when I asked to be moved to another room the front desk said I would have to wait. Ok fine, can you get someone to come clean it? She told me no one would be available to clean until after 11am. Absolutely disgusting. When we got back to our “clean” room the food was still all over the floor!! I called Expedia to try to get switched to the hotel I intended on being at in the first place but they informed me after contacting the hotel that the manager would not be available until Wednesday. This was on Sunday. The front desk told Expedia that there was no way the manager would issue a refund to switch.I’m including pictures of the bloody headboard, dirty floors, disgusting hallway and the breakfast they put on display which was a JOKE! The hallways stayed littered with trash the entire time, and it wasn’t new trash, it was old like they never clean the hallways. Any time I walked downstairs I would hear the front desk talking LOUDLY about the other guests and how they had an attitude Maybe the attitude comes from being stuck in a blood soaked filthy disgusting hotel room.

The room itself was pretty clean. Beds were clean, but pillows were not comfortable. The bathroom floor needed a deep clean. There were cobwebs up in a corner of the shower. Toilet would not flush when we arrived and a maintenance man had to fix. The hallway carpet needed vaccuumed and the elevator floor remained unmopped the two days we were there. The hallway smelled of Marijuana the entire stay. I asked for a room on the back side at check-in to avoid busy riad noise, but was told there were no rooms that were clean in the back side. This was at 3pm.

It is an okay hotel if you are looking to save money. If you are used to really nice surroundings and furnishings, this one is a little bit older and out of date even though they look like they have remodeled.

The staff was great! The hotel itself was fine, but the bathroom for our room was not great. It was dirty and outdated. The shower needed a deep clean and new caulk as there was pink mold all along the caulk lines. When we walked into our room for the first time there was hair and toothpaste in the sink. Additionally, on our last day, there was a huge house centipede in the shower. This hotel is not worth the price tag.

Ok, hotel need renovation and improve cleaning in commom areas. Room is reasonable value for the $, but staffing needs to pay more attention to cleaning details.

Bed was hard, comforter was not very thick. Overall, room was ok. Breakfast was great, do not serve the same thing every morning. Lobby had the disgusting smell of marijuana from one of the guests that had obviously been smoking it. Pool was good, coffee bar was great.

Room was clean and quiet but two admission clerks were rudely discussing another guest in front of me. There was no shower curtain. Toilet was so small it should have been in a kindergarten room. Ice machine broken.

Place had terrible odor. Shower drain clogged water very slow to drain. Toilet wobbled. Mattress old and lumpy. We will not stay again !

Staff all very nice. Beds stiff as boards. However they put us in a room knowing the room had issues with the heat. Heat was completely off when we arrived and took 90mins to warm up and then it wouldnt shut off unless we turned the system off.

Some machine outside of our window makes loud noise every half hour and we did not get good sleep.

I liked the service and our room was tidy and stocked well, the breakfast was very good, they changed it up and didnt keep the breakfast made the same way but it was the same items just cooked differently, but it was good. What i didnt like was, the pool was dirty, but ot was a good temperature, and the beds were uncomfortable, it felt like cheap mattresses, usually we get pillowtops at other places thats why i was surprise, otherwise it was a good stay.

The room was ok. Carpet was dirty and room smelled musty.

The check in was frustrating as it was contactless. However, thankfully there was a lady at the front desk who was extremely helpful. Hotel definitely need’s upgraded but was still nice.

I have a disability--trouble with walking. Alyssa, a front desk staff person, was a big help in getting some specific things I needed. Alyssa also helped my niece, whose family were Radisson guests on the second night that my husband and I stayed at your hotel. My niece, Joy Koutsourelis, checked into the hotel with her 4 small children. (Joy's husband checked into the hotel several hours later.) But Alyssa was also a big help in getting several things that Joy needed for her children. In short, Alyssa went out of her way to help us. Thank you for a great time at your hotel.

Staff was nice. Strange kiosk checking. No cookies offered. Missing washcloths, items left behind appeared as if cleaning was incomplete

Management had an issue with house keeping which caused house keeping to do a work slow down. People arrived for the stay at 5 pm and were told there were no clean rooms. I arrived at 7 and they had to shuffle around rooms and the room they were givIng me was done and just needed a blanket. The desk manager looked at a staff memeber and told her she had an extra blanket on the cart and put it in the room she just assigned me. Five minutes later she came back and said it was done. When we got into the room, the beds were sloppily made and there was food leftover in fridge. Under the soap holder in the bath, there was a layer of soap scum and what appeared to be the start of mold. We had a long day just checked in and knew it wasnt worth arguing. Next day couple had same experience. Room not ready and the one given was dirty with towels on floor. Were given another room that was lIke ours... not clean. Due to third party booking there was nothing the hotel would,/"could" do. They need an audit of the staff. Main manager left there to do an 11-7 at another property and didn't resolve the issues at the first. Continental breakfast was worse than most. No butter for toast or waffles. Was supposed to be till 10, staff pulled everything at 930. To boot coffee in lobby was cold...definate do not stay. Some of this sounds bitter, but when its adveetised and you pay for a clean room and breakfast til 10 at the least it should be provided

I’d stay here again. I was worried because the reviews were so polarizing. I was pleasantly surprised. Cannot comment on breakfast since I didn’t try it since my family lives close. Pros- easy check-in, recently renovated room, clean bathroom area, quiet and text reminders with easy check out option. Cons- stain on mattress cover, workers at counter the whole weekend - but was told to use the kiosk to check -in or greeted us as we came in and out, no one was at the front desk when we left, but they were smoking outside, the vending area had a whole bunch of trash cans, the door to the back of the office so you could see right in. So nothing detrimental, but the hotel just lacks professionalism.

Our room wasn’t ready at 8:30pm!!! They had a serious issue with something that day because people were either waiting for way too long for their rooms to be cleaned or they just canceled them (as I did). I won’t go back. Must be horrible management there.

Great breakfast. aKlien was amazing! She was very understanding and helped us with all of our needs. There was a man there selling paintings AND working there. He was extremely rude to my little one. Why would Choice Hotels allow this man to sell his drawings and have them all over the chairs and lobby area???? If his drawings weren’t all over my little one would have had somewhere to sit without touching his drawings. I WANT someone from Choice hotels to contact me.

So check in was rather annoying. The guy behind the counter Justin was very apologetic but his staff moved rather slow cleaning the rooms. Called at 3pm and room wasn't ready till almost 6pm.

Checked in 6 hours after check out. Didn’t know which rooms were clean or not. Waited over 30 minutes to check in. At least six other people waiting at the same time to check in. Went to the room. The beds were stained and had hair on them. Felt bad for the front desk person. She had been there only two weeks. She tried to call her managers and no one answered her calls. As soon as we drive in I was leary. The property was not well maintained outside. It was an indication of the inside.

We were in the area for bird watching at nearby Magee Marsh Wildlife area. This location was very convenient, only about aa 20 minute drive.

Close to cedar point

Way up by Lake Erie, easy to find, very nice. Bed was comfortable, young lady at check in was very friendly. Room was spacious. Short drive to several restaurants. Breakfast was ample and well maintained.

The hotel was very nice, clean, the breakfast was good:bacon, potatoes , eggs, waffles, etc. The staff was helpful and welcoming! We laughed at the bathroom because the lighting was yellow which was strange in a bathroom and the toilet was extremely low and small. But it was clean and functional. It was hard to get in the hotel grounds because there was street construction directly in front and the street was temporarily closed. But overall the hotel itself was good, the staff excellent! We would come again!

Property was clean, staff was great breakfast was great, was just noisy outside at the intersection and we could hear a train every few hours that woke us up at night

Very nice and clean host tone with an indoor pool and very convenient location to get on to the different ferry systems that will take you out to the Lake Erie Islands. There is a fast car charging station right across the street from this hotel. It's on the EV Connect network.

Visited Cedar Point and found this great hotel with clean and comfortable rooms for a great price. It's about a 20 minute drive to the park, but much less expensive than those closer. Area was nice and quiet with easy access to the highway. Breakfast was great with lots of choices and very friendly staff keeping the food fresh and warm. Only complaint is that the weekend breakfasts only start at 7am rather than the normal 6, so keep that in mind.

The room was clean and exactly what we expected. I was a little concerned because I had read some bad reviews but we had no problem with our 1 night stay. Cookies were great and breakfast was good with lots of options.

This was just an average visit. Nothing really stood out as being great, except the breakfast employees were very friendly and worked very hard to keep the area well stocked and clean.

I absolutely love this hotel the quality of my stay was perfect the staff from the general manager to the front desk to the house keeping they are so friendly. I first came for work but literally enjoyed the stay so much I came back to bring my family to enjoy the experience the breakfast is always amazing pool is always warm it is clean and tidy I will definitely return for work as well as leisure through out the year definitely my hotel yet!!

Good stay, clean room. Bathtub had mold and mildew stains in the calking and looked very grubby. Had to check in using virtual assistant, didn’t like that at all. Not very personal. Had to go back downstairs because our keys didn’t work. No time saved there. Staff very friendly and breakfast was good.

The breakfast was ok, but the eggs weren't good! Some of the staff were not friendly at all! We had to ask for wash cloths & trash bags. Tne ice machine did NOT work. The pool & pool area was not clean. Finally, the bed & pilliws were way to firm, making my back & neck hurt.
