Brookings Inn Resort

I expected sunny weather but at the turn of a dime it was cold and raining quite a bit. The pool room can’t be closed and the roof’s got some openings as well. Due to this it left the pool room quite cold even though the pool was nicely heated. The room was clean. The beds were okay. The front desk staff were friendly and the property was fairly well kept. The rate was good. Brookings is a nice town and I was happy with this quick one night stay for my 3 different grandkids birthdays and some pool time. The only complaint, if any would be they ran out of pool towels.

My family goes at least once to Brookings per year. We love to be at the Brookings in. However on the last three times we have stayed the pool always have some issue. This time was too cold to be used. This is the reason I cannot give an excellent for the condition and facilities.

We booked this hotel because it listed an indoor pool and hottub. We found out after we got there that they had gotten rid of the hottub and the roof over the pool was open to the rain. The room was great. It was quiet. I just wish we knew about the hot tub sooner as that was the main selling point to this hotel

The pool was perfect, room was decent.

Clean, quiet, and good-sized room. Very relaxing atmosphere. The pool is very nice and heated and covered which was a treat for a wintertime stay. The staff were friendly. The only thing that could make it better is a microwave in the room.

The rooms was huge and the beds where comfy and very clean. The maid service people was so nice. Great pool

We went for one night and ended up staying for a week… no discount at all not knowing the indoor swimming pool was completely green until the day we left when they shocked the pool. No access to the hot tub either

Memorial Day weekend stay and they were understaffed :( Amanda at the front desk did her best and we are grateful! The hotel is pretty rundown and the pool was green. No trash can in the bathroom. No amenities like tea or breakfast snacks but there was coffee in the room.

Simple good clean motel. Pool is heated as much as an outdoor Oregon coast pool can be.

Property is showing its age. The outdoor carpet on the walk ways were patched with black duct tape in many places giving the entire property a shabby look. Our room was clean and comfortable, the area was close to restaurants.

Whoever cleaned our room before our stay did a wonderful job. We are grateful for an affordable place to stay thayw as clean and safe 💚

When we got to our room there were various mystery substances on almost every surface. Hair on the "clean" towels, hair in the made bed, hair on the bathroom counter. There was a hole in the wall from someone kicking it. And the curtains wouldn't close all the way. Overall just a gross feeling place, glad to leave it behind.

I would like to give my stay an excellent, but it was not. I stayed 8-20-25 thru 8-23-25. When I arrived the room appeared clean until i spilled some water on the floor while I was putting things from my cooler into the refrigerator. The paper towel were absolutely very dirty when I was done. It was evident that the floor needed a good cleaning. I went to the office and told the front desk worker about the situation and asked that he have housekeeping to go into the room and rewash the floor. I told him I would be out for and hour and they were welcome to go into the room. When I returned I couldn't tell if the floor had been rewashed, so I took another paper towel, dampening it and wiped an area of the floor, again it came back dirty. I figured I would just keep my shoes on through the stay. I hope they do a better job on the floors the next time I stay there, or I will just have to leave. Susan S.

The room was musty and smelt like the carpet had not been vaccumed in months there were bugs in our room and in my babys portable crib 😳 the other guest were outside bbqing and partying and some screaming at eachother. The parking was horrible had to park across the parking lot with my baby.

This was such a dirty place. The shower had hair all over, there was used toilet paper pieces on the floor by the toilet. Unfortunately we dropped our things off in the room and didn’t come back and the office was closed. When I call the hotel they told me I had to call back in 2 days when a manager was there. Do not stay at this hotel

Booked two nights. Room 314. Had to leave in the middle of the night the second night because of bedbugs. Ended up in urgent care 2 days later due to strong allergic response to the over 40 bites on my body. Called horel and apology was made but no offer of reimbursement. I was traumatized by the experience and incurred a lot of extra cause to treat the bites, and clean my clothing and luggage. A year after my stay, I saw a Yelp review from a guest who also had a bad experience with same room. Obviously the hotel has not addressed the problem. Expedia should disassociate from this place.

The room, the towels the bed sheets were totally clean and brite white. Staff were very responsive, great customer service. I love this place and highly reccommended for such of small town. I was visiting from Illinois. Thank you for your service!

Basic room at fair price. Nothing special. Great location near everything. Would go back.

Room was clean, conveniently only minutes away from Harris Beach, shops,stores, and places to eat. No microwave in the room which would have been nice to have available.

The hotel looks like the rooms have had some upgrades. However. There were no microwaves only one available in the lobby. Every time we went to use it there was a note on the door stating they would be back in 10 minutes. We never got to heat up our foods. There were not enough towels and out of a party of 4 we only got 3 swim towels. The hot tub is now boarded over and unavailable. One of our pillows smelled weird. My kids went to ask for a new one and they would not give us one. I ended up going to Fred Meyer and buying a pillow. It was a ok stay. But in my opinion I’d rather have the less updated rooms with microwaves and abundance of towels. Lack of these luxuries Made our stay a little uncomfortable.

I was pleasantly surprised. The outside looks pretty funky but the room was very nicely re-done and very comfortable. Nice bathroom and bathtub/shower combo, huge TV, new flooring and paint. Only downside is terrible little coffee maker and no microwave

Over all, in a tight situation it worked. But i won't book there again. We couldn't check in on time due to being short staffed. When we did get to checkin. The room smelled of urine! Which could have been from a animal or human. They are animal friendly but do not have established rooms for animals. The bed sheets look like had not been washed due to some stains and being really wrinkled. Looked like they juat remade the bed after the previous tenants had left. The bathroom was not clean either. Long hair still in the shower along with urine stains and pubic hair around the base of the toilet as well. When trying to sleep. The walls are extremely thin. You can hear everything! From people up stairs running around to noises on the back wall. I did get a glimpse and it look like the whole mechanical and wash room was behind the rooms from a employee door. The pool was running but apparently the hot tub has been broken for awhile. We couldn't have and drinks or food around the pool. Not even a water bottle. All in all, like i said did the job! Will gladly pay more for better arrangements next time!

Room was in poor condition. Dresser looked new but handles were broken. Most uncomfortable beds, could feel every spring. No microwave in the room, had to go to the office to use one. You would think an indoor pool would be warm but it was too cold to use.

The room was clean but there wasn't a microwave in the room. The size of the room was great. Larger than expected.

Location convenience, room clean, staffs friendly. Booking two rooms connecting (1 room beds have very uncomfortable, wifi on and off. Very poor and lagging. Only avail in one room, no shower curtain)

Room was comfortable and clean! Motel is short staffed! Had to wait two hours past advertised check-in time because room was not ready.

Check-in was delayed because the cashier-lead A*****,couldn't seem to get the key card device to work.So nobody's key would work,everyone was coming back to the office for help to open their room.

The first room the door did not lock, when I noticed it wasn’t locking I went down to tell the guy at the front desk it was around 8:10pm and he didn’t care. I explained to him I was leaving to the store and the light show and didn’t want my stuff to leave so he handed me to keys and told me to move next door. When I went back to try to move next door the keys didn’t work. I went back to the office about 5 minutes later and the guy acted as if he never saw me or helped me. Then he wanted to argue that he just got there and didn’t hand me the set of two keys. I asked him then how did I get them. Then he started banging on the machine saying it is broken. After 15 minutes he kept trying to put me in my same room and I keep telling him the room doesn’t lock that is the room I am already in. Then he finally puts me in another room. I go to the other room and it is dirty. I then go back to the office to tell him it is dirty and he is mad and try to put me back in my old room and I tell him again that room doesn’t lock. Then he bangs on the machine again saying it’s broken. After a half hour he finally gets me in a room and I miss the light show because he is either high or doesn’t know what he is doing.

Our stay was great. When we checked in, the front desk lady was so helpful & cute. We will definitely go back to stay there.

The rooms very clean and staff super friendly

None one was there when we arrived and had to wait for almost 30 mins. Also, the room smelled really bad.

It was a nice stay. We enjoyed how close to everything we were & it was clean.

This area of earth, is spectacular. Many amazing beaches, pristine rivers & several Redwood forests/trails within 30-40 minutes, at most. The Inn is conveniently located & reasonable. Would definitely visit again.

Location perfect to hike trails and enjoy the beaches of Brookings, Oregon. The staff helpful and wonderful.! Also close to Restaurants, Stores and bars. Take a taxie if drinking! Taxis drivers very helpful on great Restaurants for eating out. Wonderful people and great food.

The homeless problem in Brookings needs to be dealt with…….they are on every street corner and wandering all over. Unloading our luggage I was accosted by a man going through all the trash cans looking for cans/bottles. The front desk clerk was terrific!!!!

The hot tub was not available and there was no breakfast as advertised. I did appreciate that we were allowed to check in early at 1230 and didn't have to wait till 3.

Staff were friendly, but no coffee before 8 am except at the gas station next door where they had very good coffee. Yummy bakery down the street too.

We really enjoyed our stay. The bed was older and wasn't too comfortable. The breakfast was really good with a great number of options!

I liked the coffee in the lobby. Wish the Flying Gull was still open.

Clean rooms and the best breakfast with the most choices and the woman working kept it well stocked and she was very kind and helpful. Large area and good food.
