We loved the pool and hot tub set up. The fitness room overlooks the pool and river. The restaurant had fabulous food. I can’t say enough good things about this unexpected jewel of a property!

magical spot overlooking amazing Columbia river. Clean modern. superbly designed and laid out. One of best restaurants in area and a superb lap pool and hot tub overlooked by a fantastic workout area that is open extraordinary long hours for convenience of travelers. Great value on top of that...plus super helpful and friendly staff. Truly unique!

We are regulars at this "Best Western" which doesn't feel like a BW at all. Our dog friendly room opened up to the amazing waterfront and river views - unbeatable. Good pool/hot tub & tasty breakfast. Only minor downside is the coffee isn't great IMO in the rooms or lobby machine, but there is a Starbucks right across the parking lot. We'll be back!

This property is in a perfect spot right on the river with beautiful views and easy access to walking paths. You can walk from the hotel to many shops restaurants and downtown. The heated pool and hot tub are a defiantly plus (the pool was warm enough to swim in even on a very cold day). You can take in the view of the Gorge from the pool are, quite nice. The restaurant and bar have great drinks, nice wine selection and good food. They have local wines and use local ingredients. This is our second time staying here and we loved it. Very friendly staff throughout the hotel and restaurant 10 out of 10 would recommend!!

I stayed in room 156 and it smelled like smoke, I had to kill a brown spider that crawled out from a hole in the carpet near the bed, and I found a long brown hair in the shower. All these things could be fixed with proper cleaning, so maybe the other rooms are better. The hotel is short staffed in housekeeping, which might contribute to the problem. When you come dont stay in a basement level room.

Th bathroom floor wasn’t clean. It was a room for disabled people so it didn’t have a tub which meant the water spilled from the shower. The AC was noisy and the AC from the second floor was dripping into the AC unit outside creating more noise. Just a bad room.

This hotel is so nice. I've stayed here a few times and it's always been a good experience. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and the hotel is always clean and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay in Hood River.

This place was pretty nice overall. The room we got had long dark hair on the shower wall which means cleaning wasn’t that great. Then, our toilet seat wasn’t screwed down properly and everytime we’d use the toilet, it’d rock and lastly, the front door handle was loose. The view was great, the pool and the sauna was a definite plus too. I would consider staying here again sometime

The good - neighbourhood has great views The bad - Expected better standards for cleanliness after having paid a premium of more than 300$ per night. The balcony had bugs and cobwebs and the cupboards in the room were not clean, had dust all over them. Definitely not worth anything over 200 per night.

The room was not super clean. There were cobwebs and bugs in the corners of the floors and on the ceiling. The carpet was not very tidy. I was expecting much more and wasn’t very happy with the room. The nicest part of the stay was the restaurant. The food and staff of the restaurant were wonderful. I would not stay here again.

The view was wonderful but the room was pitiful. The porch light stays on all night so we had to leave the blackout curtains closed, we couldn't enjoy fresh air because the screen door was missing from our sliding door (sheers were also missing so we couldn't filter the morning sun), there were spider webs all over the windows and ceiling and the floors were so dirty I had to wash my feet every night before getting into bed.

The hotel has a great location right along the Columbia River waterfront. There is ample parking, even for it being such a popular place to stay. The staff were all professional and welcoming, and accommodated any questions we had. The restaurant is also very nice, and although we did not have complimentary breakfast, we very much enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the nice restaurant. Room was very clean and comfortable, and we would gladly stay here again the next time we get the opportunity! Thank you!

This is a beautiful Best Western. We booked a king size room with a balcony. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The only negative part was the location of the room which was right above the pool. Loud kids screaming from 8 am until the pool closes.

The balcony with the the river view is all worth the stay. I did not like the highway noise and the bed needs to be upgraded for more comfort. The bed also has a bedframe corner that can be dangerous for children and elderly.

The nicest Best Western I’ve ever visited - and I’ve seen a few. Beautiful view from our 2nd floor room, through a very large window, onto the river. Quite a large and well-appointed room. A good TV with only Netflix as a major streaming service. The bed was comfortable but squeaky. The AC unit was easy to operate and relatively quiet. Limited and pretty mediocre coffee - 2 capsules each of caf & decaf. Excellent rain forest showerhead but if you’re over 6’ you’ll need to watch your head. We slept well in the quiet night. Everything was clean and seemed well run.

Room was comfortable. Did not like having to establish WiFi each day. At best it was clunky to do so. The conference I attended also had serious issues connecting Points in every session I attended. Very disappointing when a speaker cannot display what they’re presenting. They need to figure this out.

The view was great, amenities just fine. The mattress had a hip dip in it that was hard to get out of, and we had back aches, plus parking was at a premium with conference events taking hotel guest spaces. Will look around next time in Hood River.

This place is beginning to show its age. The room relied on a window AC unit that wasn’t up to keeping the room cool even though it was 55 and raining outside. The room was HOT and there were no windows that could be opened to cool the room off. The front desk said that the AC unit would freeze up if set below 67 degrees and turn off. The bed was past its lifespan for sure. The mattress sank horribly towards the middle and the frame was ver squeaky (and we were not even doing that).

The staff was wonderful helping us with every need. If you go ask about the trail into Hood-river. You don’t have to drive. The restaurant was also excellent we enjoyed everything.

Nice hotel with beautiful views and a great restaurant. Staff in the restaurant was nice and the food was good. Also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Beds were comfortable; the pillows need refreshed as they were pretty flat. The description of the room on Hotels.com needs to be updated by the owner. I thought I would have a nice view by paying extra for a room on an upper level. When I arrived, I was given a room on the 2nd floor and when I questioned it, I was told that the 2nd floor is an upper level. Staff at check-in was not kind and told me I would "have a nice view of the value parking lot" as they were fully booked. This left me with a very bad first impression. After looking at their website, I found that they differentiate between rooms with views and without. I hope they update Hotels.com to include this information in the future.

Staff extremely rude, unpleasant, will pick and choose how much to hold for an incidental related with their wants. Can charge you 50$, next host 25$. Will rush you at the restaurant to leave even you are still enjoying your meal and box your meals without asking. Something i never experienced before even we traveled all Europe and US. Nice resort, but un profesional staff.

They allowed a large group of teen boys to run the halls all night long cussing and banging on doors. We called at 12 pm and again at 2pm and they said other people called too and security was coming. It continued until after 4pm. Completely ruined our stay and kept for 4 year old and myself awake. In the morning the front desk staff just apologized and didn’t offer anything else. These 12-14 year old boys were drinking and kicking our doors repeatedly

I will start by saying the room was nice. But, checking in was interesting. They have me the room, gave me the key cards. We got to the room and the keys didn't work, back to the registration desk. He fixed the keys, we got into a room a scared the absolute crap out of the people already in the room. More frustrated and embarrassed going back to the registration desk. They gave us an "upgrade" they put us one floor up but the room was the same. Supposedly a river view. It was 11:30 pm... it was nice to look at in the morning before we checked out.

They gave us an "upgrade" they put us one floor up but the room was the same. Supposedly a river view. It was 11:30 pm... it was nice to look at in the morning before we checked out.

The hotel has a great location right along the Columbia River waterfront. There is ample parking, even for it being such a popular place to stay. The staff were all professional and welcoming, and accommodated any questions we had. The restaurant is also very nice, and although we did not have complimentary breakfast, we very much enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the nice restaurant. Room was very clean and comfortable, and we would gladly stay here again the next time we get the opportunity! Thank you!

This property is in a perfect spot right on the river with beautiful views and easy access to walking paths. You can walk from the hotel to many shops restaurants and downtown. The heated pool and hot tub are a defiantly plus (the pool was warm enough to swim in even on a very cold day). You can take in the view of the Gorge from the pool are, quite nice. The restaurant and bar have great drinks, nice wine selection and good food. They have local wines and use local ingredients. This is our second time staying here and we loved it. Very friendly staff throughout the hotel and restaurant 10 out of 10 would recommend!!

Great property and half the rooms have a view of the Columbia River close up. Shopping is across the freeway but only 3 minutes away in Hood River. White Salmon on the Washington side is just across the bridge and Trout Lane and Mt. Adam’s is a short drive away.

Location is beautiful, nice walking paths and close to other amenities. The hotel is very nice, and our room was super clean and roomy. The resturant is fabulous. If i could change one thing it would be that parents keep their children under control and quiet in the hallways. Maybe keep families on the ground floor. Thanks for a great stay.

Last minute stay on our way through town. Front desk staff was great and room was clean. Pretty view of the river. My husband and I received horrible service in the bar. Would 100% recommend avoiding it if you can. Overall it was fine but I wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

The restaurant at the hotel is amazing, which makes it very sad that if you book a reservation through this site, you don't get breakfast meal vouchers... Beyond the restaurant (seriously, it's notably good - not your typical hotel breakfast), the rooms are great and comfy, wifi decent speeds and the gym and outdoor hot tub and heated pool also make this hotel a great destination!

Great place to stay. Restaurant was really good! Had 3 meals there, and all were delicious and carefully thought out and executed. My only issue was with the young host at the restaurant one evening, I think her name was Celi. Barely a greeting, barely any eye contact, curt, and short. No grace or sense of hospitality. This position is so important…it is the first experience your guest has with the restaurant, and it was a huge fail. After dinner, I asked her for a small ziplock bag for ice (for an unhappy knee). Without looking at me she said they didn’t have any plastic bags in the kitchen..!(I’ve worked in kitchens for 40 years, there’s a plastic bag in there somewhere!) Her co worker heard and said “really!?” I’m going to check. The co worker came back with one and even asked if I wanted ice. Now that’s how to do it. So, if you get someone who is welcoming & gracious at the front podium, you’ve got a winning place.

Incredible location and views of the river from the hotel. If it's not too chilly, have your meal on the outside deck! (Bring a jacket. It's worth it!) The room was very comfortable and clean. The meals in the restaurant were delicious.

Upon arrival, the check-in was simple and quick, and the desk staff was very helpful. Our room was ground floor, with sliding door leading to the back lawn overlooking the Columbia River, absolutely beautiful. The "river walk" sidewalk ran right behind the property, and made for an easy outdoor leisure stroll in the evenings, or just to head to the pool. The pool and hot tub were wonderful, the grounds were clean, and though the gym looked adequate, we never got around to using it. The beds were comfortable, the room was spacious enough, and the mini-fridge just big enough for us to keep our daily food cool between excursions. The only possible down-sides are the age of the units, darker, older carpets, AC units, dark hallways, and lots of spiders (mostly outside around the property). Our room always smelled a bit musty, but opening the sliding door for that gorge breeze always helped. Ground floor units of course have the curse of hearing your upstairs neighbors, and this was no different, but it wasn't too bad. Anyway, enough about that, I can't say enough about the location - I would stay here again just for that!
