Hampton Inn Harrisburg/Grantville/Hershey

We booked this hotel specifically because it hot tub was advertised however, it was under maintenance and closed.

Parking lot was not cleared from snow and ice

From the moment we entered the hotel the man at the front desk greeted us made us feel very welcomed with a beautiful smile and amazing energy explained everything clear for us gave us some suggestions on places to eat and explained what was close by and what was not I wish I remembered his name unfortunately we had a long day and my mind was scattered. The room was beautiful it was clean and nice decor. The pool was nice the hours for the pool are amazing the only thing I would recommend is more lighting. The breakfast was really good and always fully stocked. And when requested towels it was always on time. Will definitely book again

TV signal never right..couldnt get fixed right for some reason No hair conditioner or body wash dispenser bottles in shower..desk says Hilton doesnt offer anymore?..dont even give you small bottles either No safe in room for valuables Hardly and lights on in pool room at nite Room phone had no wire attached Otherwise..clean..friendly staff...amenities ok...breakfast was good

I actually didn’t even end up staying here. The group we went with arrived prior to myself. There was no posting on their website prior to our arrival stating the pool was closed. So we opted out of staying here due to having 2 young children who only look forward to the pool when we are staying away for competitions. So I paid for this hotel but also paid to stay at another hotel so we could have the pool that is posted as an amenity.

There were no towels in the pool area-when several people asked the front desk staff for towels, they were told to “just use the ones in our rooms” since she didn’t have anymore. The pool room could’ve been a little warmer. The beds were very hard and not comfortable. (We had a room with 2 queen beds) we’ve always liked the Hampton beds for comfort but it seems like they are using different brand of mattresses.

Great pool

We had a great stay at Hampton Inn Grantville. The beds were comfy, the pool and hot tub were clean and the breakfast offered daily was great. Our room could have been a little bigger with more counter space and storage for a family of four, but overall, we had a good time, and we would consider staying here again.

Pool and hot tub were over-chlorinated and the entire end of the building smelled of chlorine. Ice machine was not functioning on my level.

The pool was cold which i did not enjoy i have been in indoor pools that are actually warm and hot tub was not hot at all. But overall my experience was great and affordable the staff was very nice. The rooms were also great and clean

The room had a sour smell and the bathroom was dirty as well as the ceiling had mold and mildew above the shower area. The TV would not work and the staff recommended we reset the TV by unplugging it. That did not work. When asked, the staff would not move us to a different room.

The room was comfortable and there was space enough for all of us. The room felt humid even when the air conditioner was on. We needed to use the laundry facilities and there was only one dryer and it was occupied for over 2 hours. However we were accommodated when we asked for additional blankets.

Hotel was fine, breakfast options are good. Hot coffee all day which is great. The room itself could use a good deep cleaning. GREAT VICINITY TO HERSHEYPARK.

We came to go to Hershey and visit family. It was close to both so that was good. The room had a weird smell. The shower ceiling was moldy. The carpet was sticky, like they sprayed room spray on it. Some staff was great and others seemed like they could care less. I went to the desk to ask for hotel information and info about what to do in the area. Those things are usually in the room. The person at the desk handed me a map. We figured it out on our own. They also didn't really take care of the pool and hot tub. I don't think we would stay again.

For a high traffic hotel you would think it would be more clean. The floors in the room were sticky and the air was not regulated. The room felt humid at times and sticky. There was dust in the vents and corners. Felt like I should sleep with all my clothes on. The front desk was helpful.

I did not like the bed. My husband and myself slept horribly. We are used to a firm mattress, but this mattress was like a wooden board. Both of us woke up with very sore backs.

The mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable- for years we would look forward to the “Hampton” bed and the comfort of it, but the last 2 times here the mattresses were very hard. We also were unable to log on to the internet to use our fire stick for watching movies. Probably will not return because of these issues.

Unfortunately the reason why we for a show near by was canceled. Everything was great except the mattress was like sleeping on a rock. I woke up a few times in pain from how hard it was on my ck

The air conditioner rattled all night

The room was a little small for the 4 of us plus luggage, but other than that it was fairly clean and the breakfast was good.

The hotel was very clean and nice but we left a day early because the bed was terribly uncomfortable, did not sleep at all. Bed was very HARD!

The staff are friendly and nice but hotel looks outdated inside the room. Its clean, good place to stay overnight or two. Lobby is clean and breakfast is OK

Had a problem with check in. Found out when we were leaving that our card had been charged for the room, and not for the $50 incidental fee. Spent 45 minutes trying to figure out what happened and get it reversed with the front desk. Was finally told the money would be refunded in 3-5 business days because only a manager could override that and return it immediately and no manager would be in that day. When calling the customer service number we were told to have Expedia come after the hotel for the money because there wasn’t anything they would do. Won’t be coming back to this location or any other of the hotels in the chain. Place was clean, beds were very uncomfortable.

Hotel was great and staff was nice. The only issue we had was when we went to use the pool there were tons of people parting and drinking, creating a loud and unsafe environment. In addition the group at the pool also had proped open the doors so they could let in thier friends and others who werent staying at our hotel. Hotel staff was advised and they came down and closed the doors but did not make people leave or even check if they were staying there.

We enjoyed or stay for the most part. The part we had a problem with was the second night( Sunday). We called around 7pm to let the front desk know that our toilet kept running. It went on for an hour, another call to the desk and still nothing. I had to try an adjust the inside of the toilet. We could not flush the toilet for the rest of our stay. Very unimpressed with that part of service.

I arrived at the hotel at 1:30 pm. The parking lot was empty, not another person around. I was told my room was ready but I could not check in without paying a $50 early check in fee. Regular check in time is 3:00 pm. If I had not already paid for the room, I certainly would have left and found other accommodations. I will not stay there again, I would choose another option when visiting the area.

I have mixed feelings about this property. Upon check-in, we were told that our two rooms were not side-by-side, but on separate floors. I told him that I had called to confirm that we had adjoining rooms a few days before as specified when I booked the rooms months ago, and was told that the they were out of adjoining rooms but that they would put us beside one another. I told him that this was unacceptable as we had children with us. He said that he didn’t know what to tell me. There was a problem before his shift and there wasn’t anything that he could do. I repeated that it was unacceptable. He disappeared for 10 minutes then returned and told me that we could have adjoining rooms but they were currently dirty and needed to be cleaned. Check-in was at 3 and we arrived around 3:15/3:30. We waited 30 minutes before finally getting into our rooms. Our rooms were on the lower level where the pool was. They stank like wet dog and sex, were humid. Our socks became damp from walking on the carpet without shoes. The bathrooms had no fans/ventilation and had mold/mildew on the ceilings, around the tub grout and the floor tile grout. Now for the good…the included breakfast is one of the best that you’ll ever find - make your own banana and vanilla waffle stations, scrambled eggs, egg omelets, breakfast sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, prepared oatmeal, bagels, pastries, yogurts, cereals juices, coffee. The breakfast kitchen staff were the sweetest!

Front desk staff argumentative. The hotels system was down and they were arguing with me that my credit card didn’t go through even when we showed them proof… never apologized

Hotel was acceptable for the price point. Front desk staff on evening arrival was outstanding, professional and efficient. The female staff at front desk the next morning was not so much. No water available in the lobby yet just after 10 & breakfast area closed. When asked at front desk for water, she would not even provide a simple bottle of water. Disappointing. Not the usual service I experience at a Hampton.

The staff as great. Emily was kind, helpful and a problem solver. We had a child hurt himself and she called to the room to see if he was okay and if we needed anything other than band-aids which she provided at the front desk. She went above and beyond to make sure our 2 night stay was enjoyable.

Close to casino which has a great outdoor venue for concerts, as well as proximity to a couple fantastic restaurants.

Perfect to be close, but not too close to hustle and bustle of Hershey and the surrounding cities.

Elevator near the front desk was a bit weird or maybe broken. The room is good and pool is clean. The thing I didn’t like around the area is there is no nearby fast food place to go.

Clean Hotel, friendly staff, Breakfast included. Weekend getaway with my love was fun. Close to Hollywood Casino and Hershey Park.

The staff is friendly, quiet and well maintained property, and a short drive to Hershey park.

Is very convenient of the interstate.

The hotel was conveniently located. And the bed was very comfortable. We always stay here when we are in the area.

The rooms are nice and the staff was friendly. Only thing was the breakfast. Not everyone can eat peppers or glutens so to have eggs with peppers in it was very disappointing.

I dont know what all the recent negative reviews were about but this place was great. I stay at a lot of hotels and the staff were very courteous and the breakfast was great.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Used the hot tub which was great after a long day - pool and hot tub area was spacious and clean. Free breakfast was great- lots of options. Only one suggestion - a dark roast option for coffee would be great.
