The pool area and jacuzzi is great. Breakfast is rellay good even thought it is pricy. Staff is friendly and always wanting to help. Need a car since it is north myrtle beach.

This hotel is beautiful! 5 stars- right on the beach, outdoor showers to rinse off. Huge hot tub, water slide for the kids, clean pools, tons of outdoor seating. Waiters come to you pool side for you to place orders for food and drinks. They have an outdoor bar too! The hotel is so clean, delicious flavored water by the front desk. Also, when you walk in from the parking area there’s the most refreshing smell. I wanted to ask what they use in that area to buy for my own home. I would love to stay here again!

Rooms are clean as is the hotel. Property is nice. Pools were good but I felt they were too warm but could have been the extreme heat wave. Not enough lounge chairs or umbrellas for everyone. Hotel states you cannot hold chairs with towels but lots of guests run down in the early morning and “ stake their claim” with towels, hats, shirts, etc…and they don’t come down to pool until midday. Frustrating for guests but I don’t know how they can prevent it…

Great location, right on the beach and walking distance to good restaurants. Bit expensive for what they offer. Beach chairs and umbrellas cost $50 a day and they pick them up at 4:00 PM! They do not offer any water sports activities. Our room had popcorn ceiling with a big mold stain. Room cleaning was 1/2 way done and at 5:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Even though the property is in the heart of Myrtle Beach it is located in a pretty, secluded section that has a nice upscale feel to it. The amenities were great, especially the pools and hot tubs as well as the hammock area. The beach is right in front of the hotel too! There are some really good restaurants in the area too which was a plus!

We had an amazing time at Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes. Honestly our best vacation to date. Between the views, the pools, the food, the beach, everything was wonderful. The hotel and the beach were spotless. All of the staff were friendly. We already booked our next stay. Can’t wait to go back, we plan to make ourselves regulars there. Thank you all to helped make our stay as good as it was.

My family and I enjoyed a 4-night stay recently. Our flight got in early and we were able to do an early check-in since our room was available. We were able to kick-start our little mini-vacation quickly. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. Breakfast at the restaurant was very convenient and good quality food. We opted not to do buffet and order from a menu...which is a huge positive for us! The staff at the restaurant was superb! They were hardworking and efficient. Cleanliness was spot-on! Housekeeping staff did an amazing job replenishing anything we needed. Front desk staff extremely helpful and kind!

Ick! This hotel is sadly, very poorly maintained as to be really filthy. I'm uploading photos of the elevator, bathroom door (so dirty is was gummy and I had to wash my hands each time I touched it), elevator button and an overhead light to show the condition. They were just random photos from around the property, and many such examples could be found. I'm guessing the nice pool and beach were the reason Expedia rates it as a four star. I'd consider it more of a one star based on its condition. I imagine at one point it was a nice place as the grounds and outside are very nice. But the condition of the rooms and elevators and various fixtures around the property were just unacceptable.

My room was not cleaned before I checked in. The shower and tub had hair on them, the carpet in the room turned the bottom of my feet a yellow-brown color. All but 2 of the towels in the bathroom had stains and/or had hair all over them. Very disappointing for a Marriott, and as a Marriott resort.

It was good. The room could be better for the price. The sink drained very slow, the mini fridge didn't work and needed to be replaced, the desk lamp was bent on an angle and the bed was uncomfortable.

Had a girls long weekend, really enjoyed it. Mo and Richie at the breakfast buffet were a delight. The pools were gorgeous and the spa was fantastic. All of the staff we encountered were helpful and very nice. Only complaint was that the internet was occasionally poor, and the TV remote was finicky. Other than that, all good. Very enjoyable time away and we'll do it again next year.

The photos make this hotel look luxurious - but it is a bit dated and worn out. The staff was excellent! The rooms were dark and had poor lighting. We thought we were getting a balcony but did not. We had a side beach view, which was nice...but no sitting outside.

Food on property is double the price off-property. Breakfast for 2 = $52, Lunch for 2 = $90. Plus tip, of course. Go else where. Staff was great, generally clean areas. Furniture was really old/chipped in our room. Wifi/TV very in/out. Outdoor pool is nice. Ocean is fantastic.

We stayed two nights and had a wonderful time with just a few of issues. The service during our breakfasts was slow both days and we had to ask for cream for coffee, water and utensils. We also stood around for ten minutes waiting for our leftovers and then someone handed us a container so we could walk back to our table to box them ourselves. Not normally a problem but we were asked to wait while they took care of it. We also had a sink issue that was reported and the response took five hours. We did receive a $50 credit (upon request). Overall a nice getaway with a few hiccups.

We enjoyed our stay…. Pros- Pools - pools were great! 2 nice pools with a fun water slide. Beach - beautiful beach water was warm and very blue. Beach was clean with no seaweed. Cons - Rooms were a bitt tired - could use a redo, also not super clean. Beach Chairs- I’ve done a good amount of travel and you would think it customary to have beach chairs for hotel guests. Not here. You can rent them from the city or hotel, but it’s pricey. We ended up purchasing some in our travels. Area- the area is very nice, but nothing is walkable. We spent a lot of money on uber. Went to some nice places including barefoot Landing and Broadway on the Beach (which is not on the beach) - lots of fun things to do here definitely plan on spending the day. Few hours is not enough time. We also ventured over to the boardwalk on Myrtle Beach which I would NOT recommend. Very dirty and run down. Overall we enjoyed our stay! Hope this helps you to plan yours!

Wonderful resort with easy access to the beach. The room was clean with a great view and staff were friendly. Would be fun for couples and families. It's a little quieter on this end of the beach, which I enjoyed. The food and drinks were a little pricey but everything was excellent!

Nice hotel further away from the boardwalk. A little outdated but still clean. They need some water filling stations so you can fill your water bottle. Hotel keys did not always work. Wait staff was nice, front desk people not so much. You can walk to Croissants and Hook and Barrel which are amazing food. We would go back.

The location is within 25 minutes of most everything the area has to offer. Access to the beach is a short walk from the resort. Beach and pools are excellently maintained. Staff is friendly and responsive. Food was not worth the price however, but there are more than enough great restaurants nearby.

An absolutely excellent stay! This is a very nice resort located in a more quiet part of Myrtle Beach. Very family friendly, but also has an upscale romantic feel for a traveling couple. The pools were very nice, with easy access to the beach and lots of seating. Poolside bar was cool too, as was the restaurant with option for outdoor dining. We really liked our room, which was excellent as is usually the case with Marriott! Will definitely stay again.

Not a family oriented resort. You can’t bring any outside food or beverage in the pool area at all. Not even a bottle of water or a Starbucks drink. The hotel doesn’t even sell coffee. The resort is expensive enough not to mention 18.00 to self park everyday and a resort fee on top of it all. Prices at the bar are ridiculous. A Bud light is 10.00 but at 7-11 it’s 1.89. The bigger pool is missing chucks of cement. Only saying grace are the employees who are always helpful and smiling.

Everything was Great except the Breakfast. We got breakfast bar and was charged 60.10 for two people. Neither of us got very little. We were never giving a menu. The food was good and service great it was extremely expensive.
