What a wnderful surprise! We were greeted by the friendliest staff - all smiles and warm greetings. Check in was a snap. Our room was as described. Newly remodelled...new everything. Darkening shades that actually shut out light. Quiet hallways. No pool so no noisy families or obstreperous kiddies. Dogs allowed. Safe clean areas to exercise my dogs. Great protein choices with breakfast. Really hot water with great pressure in the new glass enclosed shower. Comfortable beds with extra blankets for the asking. This will be our go-to when we travel back this way.

We were driving from Maryland to Florida to get on a cruise ship, and this was a convenient place to stop. So I logged into Expedia while on the road and reserved a room. So happy I did, since the rooms were sold out when we arrived! My wife and I have never seen a hotel room so spotlessly clean and well-appointed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the complimentary breakfast (the pork sausage were very tasty). A wonderful, if brief, stay.

There were ROACHES in the room, specifically crawling on our pillows. We submitted videos and neither the hotel or Expedia were willing to actively work to rectify the situation. Both parties blamed each other in not being able to resolve the issue. In the end Expedia offered some OneKeyCash (to use on a future Expedia booking if we are staying 2 days or more) as a resolve. While this is better than nothing, it’s not an acceptable solution considering roaches are clearly a sign of a sanitary issue AND we spent hundreds of dollars, only to be treated poorly when we reported the incident and vehemently ignored by hotel management.

Lots of hair all over shower floor. Glass doors of shower were so dirty you couldn’t see through them. Bathroom had not been cleaned from at least the last guest if not several. Couldn’t shower. It was actually a health hazard! When I brought it to the attention of the front desk the lady laughed and would not get a manager. I don’t usually leave reviews but please beware especially if you have young kiddos like me! Don’t want anyone to get sick. I have 2 stars for staff because staff at breakfast were nice but again everything dirty

The employees were very nice and friendly. Unfortunately there was a live cockroach in our bed crawling around on my husbands pillow when we went to bed. It was late and we did not want to deal with switching hotels, so we moved to the other bed and slept with the light on. We had picked this hotel because it was right off the highway and we were having engine trouble and had to stop!

Front staff was super helpful and very welcoming, even had an adorable Hot Chocolate station set up that my kid loved. Will be staying here again on our return trip home and from now on!

First I want to say that Mary and Stacy in the dining area for breakfast were SUPER! But after that, we went to check in but 1 employee never showed up so there was 1 desk person and 9 people waiting. It took 45 minutes to check in. Second, we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express 3 years ago and the fee for a pet was $35. That same dog cost me $85 last night. Unless they’re going to walk my dog and feed my dog, that amount is highway robbery. It’s ridiculous. I only stayed because my room was prepaid and I wouldn’t have gotten a refund. We’re at a Comfort Inn tonight and it’s only $25. It was a great room with a super comfortable bed, but $85 for 1 diff is idiotic and I’ll never stay there again until that changes.

Clean, comfy hotel right off of 95. Quick and easy check-in. They offer a wide variety of food at the complimentary breakfast; we were impressed! All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Stacy - she was exceptionally helpful and sweet!

The hotel was very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was your average free Hotel breakfast tasted fine. My only issue was with the night front desk clerk who was beyond rude and after 8 hours of driving and arriving at 8:30 at night I really don't need somebody else's attitude. Because she was so rude and it was obvious I intentionally was exceptionally sweet and pleasant and still was treated very unprofessionally

Overnight stay on a trip from Fort Myers, Florida to New York. Convenient location near I-95. Quiet, clean room, good bed and sufficient breakfast - what else traveler needs for one night rest during a long drive. We do recommend this particular Holiday Inn Express at Walterboro, South Carolina.

Really like ability to easily control hvac. Bath facilities present as new. Like the DTV service, plus ability to use my own Roku. Easy WiFi access. Breakfast very well done. Wish that all breakfast tvs weren't tuned to fox.

They have the best free breakfast I've encountered and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there was a water main break while we were there ... certainly not their fault, but inconvenient not having any water for brushing teeth, washing, showering, etc., after a long day of driving. But, it was repaired by the morning. And, they have the most comfortable bed I've encountered!

Please home some warm vegan options for breakfast. Potatoes, oatmeal, beans…anything. Better fruit would also help vegans. Plant based milk for cereal and coffee. We could eat nothing.
