Best Western Angleton Inn

The entire hotel was in decent shape, rooms clean and facilities well kept. The breakfast was more than adequate and check in was effortless. Bottom line, no complaints.

We had 2 rooms: Room 1 horrible musty mold smell/someone’s else’s socks left beside bed. Room 2 sink would not drain Pool is advertised but literally looked like milk. When asked was given no explanation just that they could try and find rec center passes for us. Not the worst stay I have experienced but for sure expected a better stay when branded a Best Western.

The room was nice, clean, but was very disappointed with the pool. The steps into it had algae growing and the water was so cloudy you could not see through it! If you want breakfast better get there very early, no one checks to see if things needed to be refilled. Many had little to eat! The desk worker was MIA.. sad

I like being able to park near the room. With the Walmart and the lumber store next door, the area is well lit.

inadequate parking

Pool was littered with glass beer bottles pool was also so cloudy you couldn’t hardly see the lights in the water more less the bottom tv volume didn’t go high enough to hear it and the ac would only go to 72 and couldn’t keep it cool enough to sleep comfortable

The pool was very nice pretty and clean, had the Texas Star on the ground and a lovely Rock fountain pouring into the pool. Our room was very clean, did not have any weird odors no cracks or funkiness with the bathroom area or anything. Our bed was very very comfortable. The only thing was that our iron in the room looked brand new and I tried using it and no matter what setting it was on it wouldn't warm up so it could have just been a malfunction of the appliance and I reported it to the front desk. I would definitely stay here again!!

Old building

No ice machine for the entire upstairs units without walking downstairs although there is an obvious place where ice machine should be located upstairs. Nonsmoking room should not smell like it used to be smoking room.

Place was pretty nice . The pool is indoors but there is no hot tub, they filled it in with concrete. Overall the place is pretty good and we are looking forward to breakfast In the morning before going to the water park.

This is my 4th time staying at this Best Western. Never had a bad experience before, other than the pool being way too strong with chlorine. But this time was the absolute worst. Staff was nice, cleaning ladies were respectful, so no complaints there. The first room we got was non-smoking like we asked, but it was horrible. The whole room was musty, the carpet and bed felt damp, and the smell was like dirty wet rags. We asked for another room and got moved. That one seemed fine, just needed two lights replaced. My 4-year-old even said she thought she saw a bug. I didn’t believe her at first. But on checkout day, we actually found TWO roaches in the room. Disgusting. Then it all made sense why they had a “breakfast only in the dining area” sign taped to the wall. Breakfast itself was meh. Waffles were the only good thing. Cereal was stale, the milk was spoiled, and the eggs were super watery. Dining room is tiny, like 4 or 5 tables, so good luck if it’s busy. The worst part? The roaches ended up in my bags and I even found one in my car after leaving. My skin is still crawling just thinking about it. This place might be convenient, but I’d rather drive 20 extra minutes than ever stay here again. Musty rooms, damp beds, spoiled food, and ROACHES. Completely disgusted and beyond disappointed.

The room was very clean

I’m rather critical but there were 2 dead spiders that showed up overnight. There was a long hair on the tub. The worst was the humidity in the room. It must have been 100%. The bed was okay. I’ve slept in worse.

Everything was great for check in..she was helpful, quick. But our room had a mold stench..had to spray Febreze to get the smell out but it was strong! Other than that it was great!

The room may have been renovated, but the bathroom walls are terribly done. Bathtub was not clean and hair all over the floor. The staff was very nice and the property is kept up.

Not worth the money to stay in. Room smelled like mildew. I had to buy freshener and breakfast was horrible. Wont stay again

Property had lost of roaches dirty blankets and died roachs and spiders crickets

It was clean but a heavy smell of mildew in the room. Ac worked really well.

The bed was very comfortable & the ac works very good & the room was clean.

Our stay was not so good. Slow flushing toilet, tv remote worked off and on, very noisy air conditioner. Worst of off called and told me I was only booked for two nights when indeed I had a 3 night conformation. Was able to get me in the same room, but it interrupted my visit with worry over there error. Returned to the room, key didn’t work. Front desk staff that evening was helpful and kind, Abbie the next morning not so much.

TV didn’t work/ no hot water / sheets were rough/ house keeping woke us up at 10 am

Room was very clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable.

Our room had an A/C unit that wouldn't adjust to a temp below 76F and the room was super musty. We were given another room that chilled down nicely but the A/C was noisy and the smell was tolerable but still a bit damp smelling and I couldn't sleep. The iron did not work at all in one unit and we were in town for a formal wedding and needed a good iron, so we grabbed the one in the bad A/C unit.The pool was beautiful and the front desk was accomodating. The breakfast was sparse and I never saw an attendant restocking anything. I would only come back if I was assured the A/C units were replaced and rooms smelled clean.

Right next to the room we were in, there was a maintenance room that had a god-awful whistling sound that came right through our bathroom wall. Ask them if there was something they could do about it nothing was ever done.

We went to breakfast and all the coffee options were terrible. There was at least a teaspoon of coffee grounds in every cup. We reported it to the staff person and they did not apologize or attempt to get us a decent cup of coffee. Despite having family in town there, we will not stay here again.
