I surprised my husband for Father’s Day with staying here. We both had never been. They did a beautiful job making this place feel like you’re somewhere special. Pools are definitely not as big as the pictures online and the big pool is for members only. There are walking trails from the rooms or villas to their new floating pool in the river with drinks and food. It is an easy nice walk but if it’s hot during the day you can wait for a golf cart or shuttle. Not enough shade cover for the pool areas so bring a big hat. June-Sept is very hot and so if the pool water. The Villa rooms come with a private small pool with no kids on weekends. 3 pool areas total and 3 places to eat. Bring snacks/drinks if you don’t want to leave the resort as everything is very expensive, unless you don’t mind the expensive part. You can bring your own drinks into their pool areas. There are people that live here also which was wild to us.

Access to the Yacht Club for dining is no longer includes for resort guests and access to the pool are in the Yacht Club will be fully restricted soon as well. That leaves us with one small pool to swim in at the resort which is not worth the price you pay. You may as well stay in a Holiday Inn.

We booked Horseshoe Bay for a guys’ golf trip, and it was everything we hoped for. From the start, the staff made check-in smooth and even had our tee times organized, which set the tone for a stress-free weekend. The rooms were spacious, clean, and perfect for groups — plenty of space to hang out after a long day on the course. The beds were comfortable, and the resort kept everything stocked and tidy throughout our stay. The golf courses themselves were the real star. Beautifully maintained fairways, challenging layouts, and stunning views made every round a blast. The pace of play was great, and we never felt rushed. Between rounds, the clubhouse was the perfect hangout — great food, cold drinks, and a lively but relaxed atmosphere. Off the course, the resort had everything we needed: a pool to cool off, a bar with plenty of TVs for catching the games, and restaurants with hearty meals that hit the spot after 18 holes. The staff was always friendly and quick with recommendations for nightlife and local spots, which made evenings just as fun as the days. Overall, Horseshoe Bay nailed it for our boys’ trip. Great golf, great vibes, and everything we needed in one place. Already planning to make this an annual tradition.

Food wise we felt it was too much of the same style- barbecue and burgers. Would have been nice to see different cuisines and vegetarian/ vegan options. We got pretty bad weather so lots of outdoor options got ruled out. I’m look forward to trying out this place hopefully with better weather next time around and play some golf and tennis.

Property: tennis court fence and garden decks in bad condition. Marina is not part of the resort anymore and does not indicate thst on the website. Also, no complimentary coffee by the Market on the week days so I guess the guests are only appreciated on the weekends. Billing: 2nd time we visited resort and both times I had to call the resort to research and adjust the bill. Employees: most were friendly however the front desk and the Waterfront restaurant were not. The hostess did not observe that a party of four was waiting to be seated directly in front of her. Bottom line: I do not intend on staying there again as amenities, customer service and billing need improvement.

Our family of 5 visited in June for a 2 night weekend. Kids ages 13, 11 and 8- all had a blast! We rented a 2 BR condo and it was updated, clean and spacious with great view of the lake! We played putt putt, did the floating obstacle course, rented a Cabana at the floating pool, rented a ski boat, played tennis and dined at 3 diff restaurants. It was a blast! None of these amenities were included, but was worth the cost (and hell, always cheaper Than owning a boat!) We cant wait to come back with our extended family in the fall!

The property and location are picturesque. But something is off about this place. They slated a weekend of activities on their website (and why we booked the stay the 2 days prior), only find out there was a wedding booked way in advance so none of these things were going to happen. Why did they continue to advertise it even the day prior? It's listed as a 4 star hotel, but the service is hit or miss. The elevators do not reliably work. The kids club seems adorable but needs some cleaning. The property must be focused on their realty service, weddings, private jet clients as it doesn't really seem to want just casual hotel guests there.

We took a family trip staying in Texas. The resort is expensive and basically everything cost. Nothing really included except the pools. So, plan to spend money for putt putt golf and expensive meals. There was only 2 restaurants open in July so very little choices on the resort for food. Our 2 queen bed room was very small (comparing to a Marriott Hotel room) so we were a litte cramp with our chidren in room. We wanted to do water aerobics and zumba (advertised) and no one could locate for us and later told us they were cancelled for the day? Late night disco was over by 9PM. Not sure if we would visit again.

It was good until my family and I were asked for our name to verify if we were actually staying there for breakfast. I guess it was the athleisure clothing? We have never been asked this at La Cantera or Lost Pines or Hyatt Hill Country, you know the nicer places lol. Maybe its just the member vs nonmember thing. The villas are more like 80s apartments redone 10 years ago.

Overall a good stay. The property is in a great area about 10 minutes outside of Marble Falls. I liked the fact that the hotel itself isn't huge compared to some of the other resorts in the Texas Hill Country so it doesn't feel as crowded as the others. The food on property was pretty disappointing especially considering how strong the food scenes are in Texas' major cities. After one meal (lunch), we decided to eat all meals off property from there on out which turned out great because Marble Falls had some nice options. There were some entertaining activities on property that we enjoyed including miniature golf and the grounds themselves were nice / well maintained. Would most likely return in the future when looking for a change from some of the branded options in the region.

The property is vast and exquisitely designed. I enjoyed the villas, particularly if traveling with children. There were five of us in total. They have a pool and a fitness center. The shuttles for transportation are incredible. Omar's hospitality at J's restaurant is impeccable. There are driveable alternatives available if your budget dictates otherwise. But this is a hidden gem in Llano County, well worth the trek, and a truly remarkable location. They have recently renovated and were still renovating the weight room adjacent to the villas. You cannot go wrong at this location. My young son found the children's club to be both entertaining and secure.

It was just okay - perfectly acceptable but we did have some issues with the water being very very hot one night and the room service food we ordered was bafflingly horrible. But all in all, we would probably stay here again so long as there’s still some kind of deal on Expedia as it’s definitely not worth paying full price for as the amenities haven’t been properly updated in years.
