No ice machine, no light bulbs, run down hotel that used to be quite nice.

Don’t go…Wyndham should be embarrassed to call this one of their properties. The pool was green, the door didn't close very good (put a chair under the handle just in case it popped open) the juice machine, waffle machine, and ice-maker all in disrepair. The bathtub was dirty and only one towel in the room. The carpet felt damp and there was broken furniture in the parking lot that did not belong to the hotel. (I think people live there.) Needless to say, I checked out early and went to another hotel.

The property is being renovated. They are still working on making improvements. The pool was not operating as they were repairing some equipment. They didn’t have an ice machine which was inconvenient. The continental breakfast was ok. They could add some protein and some fruit. Overall, my stay was good.

The concrete steps were broken with a hole all the way through. There were no towels in the bathroom. The pool was full, but it was so filthy. You could not even see the bottom of the shallow end. When I ask about getting towels, it took almost 2 hours to get them. The breakfast was out of everything when we got there, which was still an hour and a half before it closed.On the plus side, the staff seemed courteous and helpful to the degree that they could be and they did grant me a one hour late check out so that I could make an appointment without feeling rushed.

Rm 117 has a bathtub that fills with water while taking a shower, the water cycles through hot and cold while showering even though you set the temperature. Only one towel was provided, had to ask for more, the pool was green and uninviting

The room were very dirty and had no hot water. The pool was green and nasty. Breakfast was a joke. Cold coffee no fruit and were out of waffle mix. So no breakfast for my kids. Will not be staying there again.

smoke detector was missing. TV not working and small flying bugs in room. Settled for 3rd room after turning the first two down. One room smelled Pool was green bath facets in 2 rooms leaked bad. Just a poorly maintained property that is aging out it seems.

This place has fallen on hard times. Used to be a fairly nice La Quinta, now is very run down. Understaffed. The pool was closed (and green and not looking too good anyway) and there was no breakfast Sunday morning ("No one showed up to cook"). Room was OK - musty smelling (probably been smoked in) but it was cool and quiet and dark (except for a light in the bathroom that "flickered" all night despite being turned off). It was very cheap - you get what you pay for.

Quick check in, however, room not as nice as previous stays. Ice machine not working, pool unusable

Was given a key to our room, arrived to room only to find the door open. The bedding was dirty with stains , the bathroom was unbelievably filthy- hair was in the tub and there was a dirty rag. The tub was nasty. Property was dirty and unkept. Spoke with another customer who was going to stay but changed his mind because it was dirty. Told us he opened his room only to find a man lying in his bed. This is the absolute worst experience ever. (I wish I could post pictures) When I informed the staff the attitude was like it was no big deal and showed that this wasn’t the first time or type of complaint.

We had to change rooms 3 times. The 1st time we walked in the room and whoosh! The odor was so horrible! It was a clash of urine and cigarettes! Had to move to a room that the hotel keys would not work. There was no tech person to fix that. By the time they were in the 3rd room we were so tired and gave up for getting a better room. This room when the air came on it smelled like cigarettes! The bed spread had cigarette burn holes in it, more than 5 different places. There were no blankets. The dead bolt locked us out when we went back down to bring up our luggage. So it was a walk back to the office to get the keys reset. The bathroom was so dirty. The shower had pink stains, maybe blood? There were roaches in there too! The one towel our family was allowed to have was stained and had oily finger prints on it! Walking up the stairs there were urine stains and a horrible smell. It looks like there are rats nests and dust bunnies in the corners of many of the stair steps. The ratings on this place looked good on the hotels.com website. I should have checked google reviews. Don’t believe any of the other ratings on this website because there was nothing any where near good about this place!

Old and ran down, the outside has been somewhat updated but inside the rooms are gross, roaches, shower barely worked. Smelled like cigarettes and sewer. This is an example of you don't get what you pay for.

The rooms were filthy. Carpet was stained. Sheets were dirty. Bed bugs were found. Smelled of mold and cigarettes. Bathroom floor was disgusting.

Everything was filthy. There were dirty towels wadded up in the floor of the closet ... No clean towels or wash rags in bathroom. Bedding was stained. No toilet paper in the bathroom ... no toilet paper holder. Arms of sofa were stained and torn. The room stank. The pool was green and unkempt. The hotel had not been maintained at all. The concrete steps leading upstairs were broken and unsteady...unsafe to ascend on. The area around the steps were littered with cigarette butts and debris.

We had a King size bed with no blanket and two pillows that were half the size of a standard pillow. The toilet paper roll was down to the very end and there was NO extra rolls in the room. The towels were clean but tiny and one of them was coming apart. One of the doors to the closet was broken and could not be opened. The bath tub was dirty and there were cheetos on the floor. There were piles of trash bags full of trash by the stairwell all day one of the two we were there as well.

On the front door they had a health code violation posted from the health department. Walked into the room and was smacked in the face with how bad it smelled of urine and cigarettes and I requested a non smoking. The bed sheets were covered in stains and didn’t look like they’ve been cleaned in a while. The bathroom smelled of raw sewage so bad I gaged. We immediately walked out and booked another hotel due to fear of bed bugs or other diseases

Ordered non smoking, room was a fog of weed, they changed us to new room roach infested and black mold. It was so late exhausted from very long drive. Felt gross , sheets had stains so we slept in our regular clothes and used our own blankets and our own pillows. The towels had stains and not sure they had been washed. You get what you pay for. Also the free breakfast had no water or anything to drink except coffee. Juice machine down and no ice allegedly to bring water or juice. I’m so shocked 😳 Don’t stay here!!!!

if you try to look at this La Quinta going off of reviews and pictures do not it is not as it seems. A very bad part of town the room look like I had been cleaned in months stains on the sheets cigarette burns water leaks on the walls, cockroaches crawling on the ground. my opinion, this place needs to be closed down.

Reserved a king bed but only got a double and looked at the room and the sheets were dirty and had holes and then finally got a room with double beds but was offered a comp so the staff was great but property unsatisfactory.

Without a doubt the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Let’s start with check in. No signage directing you to the lobby location. The room was over 90 degrees inside. Took the AC over 2 hours to cool it off. The room is in rough shape. The linens are all stained including the pillows. The bathroom light doesn’t turn off. Not a nightlight but the bright main one. Light switch did nothing. The fridge had 6 inches of ice build up. I doubt it’s ever been cleaned. The tub had debris & stains all over. Not cleaned. Breakfast in the am. They were out of everything at 8am. No attendant. Only eggs & cereal. Coffee so weak it looked like dirty water. Building is in need of maintenance badly. Broken doors. Dirt & crud everywhere. Motel 6 & super 8 are far better than this place. La Quinta should be humiliated for having a place this bad.

For a quick stay it's perfect. But The restroom smelled a little like a sewer. The room was hot it took what seemed forever to cool down.

Smells like smoke, no towels in the room, the pillows were literally square not rectangular. This is a sketchy motel, not a hotel like it’s marketed. You should find somewhere else.

It was decently priced for the stay. The hostess was kind, accommodating, and professional. The only real complaint I have is that the room reeked of cigarette smoke, and that says a lot for someone who smokes daily. The humidity mixed with the cigarette smoke made it tough to relax and sleep. Other notables were: The recliner is damaged and looks like it could fall apart with the wrong movement TV did not respond to the power button on the remote. AC worked really well. The room was very spacious. Shower head is very low, for a guy who is 6’2” tall it’s very inconvenient. Toilet flush handle broken and in need of repair. Appears as though it’s been that way for a while. The towel rack above the toilet looks like it’s been banged up quite a few times from someone trying to investigate the flusher and then banging the back of their head on the towel rack upon standing up straight. Had good hot water the first night, but barely warm water the next two. Also, the WiFi reception in the room was on-existent. I could hear aknots anything anyone said in the next room, and could feel and hear every movement from the folks in the room above. Looks like an old establishment with fresh paint, rather than spending any real money on updating / upgrading. But, the price was fair. I didn’t make any complaints in person and had not planned on doing so, but, having been given the opportunity through this email sent to me by the establishment, maybe this feedback helps someone out.

The room was cool and beds comfortable but kept finding little bugs crawling everywhere, mkt cleaned very well and the toilet stopped flushing.

The room was fine except for a couple of things. First, the bathroom tub’s faucet has a very slow drip (a drop about every 3-4 seconds). The drip did not bother me, but it is wasting water and I know the area can experience water shortages from time to time. Second, the toilet seat was not fully secure in the back, and it moved a bit when sitting down on it. Again, it was not a major problem, but I thought I would point it out. Third, some minor repairs are needed on the bathroom door (cracked). There were one or two minor issues. The bed was very good and there seemed to be little noise during my stay. Perhaps I got lucky but I often hear somebody making noise by dropping things on the floor. The price of the room was very reasonable. I did not need a lot of room and this room was more than adequate, There is one final thing I want to mention. When I first got into the room on Saturday July 6, I could not get the TV satellite to work. On my way to the front desk, I met the lady who checked me in. She had already worked her shift, yet when I told her the problem she went to my room and showed me what the trouble was (the switch was in the off positIon). She fixed the problem and had no problem with the TV thereafter. I wanted to point this out because the lady could have easily said someone in the front desk can help you, yet she took the time to fix the problem while she was off shift. I am grateful for her dedication.

My stay was good the staff was very friendly But we had to let the water run for about 15 minutes before it got hot. Also it was difficult getting inside our room door.

I often stay at this hotel when in the area, but not sure I will be coming back. The room smelt like stale cigarette smoke upon entry and throughout the stay, only 2 of the 4 lamps in the room worked, the bathtub and bathroom walls need to be repaired/updated, the door lock didn’t function properly (but was able to be locked)… and then there were the pillows. I had a king bed that came with 3 square pillows- had I of been traveling with someone, it wouldn’t have been enough. The property overall is in need of updates and repairs. Pros: the ac/heat was quiet and functioned well, the front desk associate was very friendly, the room was dark with blinds shut- making for a nice room at bedtime, and it was quiet throughout the stay. Also, ample parking.

They did not have my reserved room for me. I was told they were sold out and 2 were under maintenance. I reserved a specific type of room, knowing they were on the bottom floor which I needed due to bad knees, etc. Why do you reserve a room if you give them all out!!?? because of the time of night and being up 37 hours, I took the room she had available (UPSTAIRS DOUBLE). the room I was given turned out was being worked on, nothing was plugged in, tv had no cords connected, smoke alarm was sitting on microwave, with no batteries. paint on chairs, tape over all the outlets, security locks broken or missing, wood shelving sitting on the porch in front of the door. toilet did not flush right, sink parts sitting on counter. no trash can, and to top it off there are no batteries in the remote control. NOW the lady at the desk, was very helpful, and nice. she did bring me batteries. BUT TO NO AVAIL... the remote was to a dish receiver not to the new TV (Amazon fire TV). so, no TV either. I had already showered and put away my things when I noticed all this, and again needing to relax and go to sleep. and after I was told I should talk with my third party booking to get the room comped. I just used my phone to relax and went to sleep. Slept okay, and AC worked great. But this was the worst room in San Angelo. and worst I have been to, and I am in about 85 a year. I will report this to Hotels.com and demand my money back. I have plenty of photos if needed

Easy check in, nice staff

1st the positive: the front desk staff was awesome and very understanding and very professional. Now to the room I was very disappointed in the room the floors were dirty but nowhere near how dirty the tub and shower were! There was still hair in the drain and rust spots(hopefully rust spots) the toilet was exceptionally small. The outside parking was very sketchy if you drive anything you take pride in make sure you keep an eye on it. Overall this would be the VERY LAST place I’d stay in San Angelo

I requested clean towels at 9 am to person checking us in and the head of housekeeping. At 3 pm head if housekeeping came to check the room and I reminded him again that we needed fresh towels. At 4 pm I saw a housekeeper two doors down and told her we didn't need room cleaned but we did need clean towels. (We stayed in the same room 2 nights-2 reservations). As if 9:30 pm we still do not have clean towels. I will not be returning to this hotel again

The receptionist was nice. She gave us our keycard to the room. When we opened the door, the beds were not made, 1 soiled towel was in the bathroom. We went back and asked for a clean room. She apologized, and gave us another room. We went, uncooked it, but seemed to be locked from the inside. We went back to the office, got another room assigned, and the same the happened. Doors were unlocking with the key, but it was not allowing to go in. We decided to cancel and leave. We asked for a manager to help us with the refund. She was not available until Monday. After the prolonged wait time on the phone today, we finally got approved for a refund. This place is shady. I would not recommend for families to stay here.

The room key did not work had to go over 4 times to the front desk in 28 degree weather. Finally the front desk worker went to check the door they realized the door lock was bad moved me to another room. The following morning at 9 am house keeping didn’t even knock the guy opened the door saw us and said wait yall were supposed to be gone already. I asked at the front what time was check out the lady said 11. I told her what happened and she just laughed.

This property is not safe, we arrived and was told they had dropped my reservation?? I had already prepaid it, she fixed that and gave me a key to room 165 on the back side of all rooms, got in room and was just getting ready to go to bed and someone opens our door WITH A KEY??? The chain kept door from opening, i hollered at them, and startled them as well, I went outside and spoke to the couple and they had just be given the key to room 165 for them as well.. I checked the door to see if it would open without a key and it wouldn't..We put the big chair infront of door for the night.. next morning went to take a shower and the door to shower and toilet fell off of the hinges, just came out of the wall??? WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place AT ALL. Told the morning crew when leaving and they were not apologetic, or anything.. What a waste of Money on our part and I thought Windam properties were better than this?

We reserved online and completed pre check in. When we arrived we had to do the check in paperwork again, show ID, card info, etc. the first room we were assigned had a broken door lock, so the door would not open. The second room was missing the battery in the smoke detector so it made a chirping noise every 45 seconds or so. The third room had not been cleaned from the previous guests. We went back to the room with the chirping alarm and the front desk staff found a new battery and replaced it. There were white stains like paint on the duvets. There were “x’s” marked on the wall in several places, maybe needing maintenance? The bottom stair to access 2nd floor was broken. There were empty bottles and spilled liquids that had since dried in the exterior halls. There were stains on the carpeting inside the room. It appeared like many of the guests may also be longtime residents of the property. It was a very good rate, so it may be more affordable than other housing in the area. Breakfast was lacking- cereal, some yogurts, apples, some cold pastries, and make your own waffles. I was expecting bacon or sausage and scrambled eggs and more options like toast and bagels, but maybe that isn’t standard or only on weekends.

The shower head went to my chin, the blankets were all stained it smelled horrible the towels were gross. The staff was snooty and no personality. The parking lot was filled with tons of construction worker or oil field trucks and machinery couldn’t even get in or out. Never again!

So many shady people outside. 5 youngsters breaking bottles in the parking lot, trash everywhere. I honestly thought the stairways were going to be full of homeless folks in the night. I won’t stay here again.

Walked outside around midnight to smoke a cigarette and heard a group of guys arguing and then one ran away as they otgers chased him with a gun i immediately packed up and left

Air conditioner was very good.. beds was comfortable..easy access to food and shopping right down the road! All in all I rate it a 6/10

There was NO ice. According to the manager, the city will not allow the outdoor ice machine to operate after Labor Day. (!) And the office is too old to install an ice machine. There was NO hot water. The manager said he had hot water the night before but not in the morning and that 100 people staying there use all the hot water!!! Oh Holy Cow! The phone in the room and the one cup coffee maker DID NOT work. No explanation. Oh, yes, the breakfast room wasn't open, and nobody knew why. At least we had a bed, toilet, and cold water. LaQuinta just lost my business.

This is a budget hotel so my expectations are set accordingly. However, at the budget range some are better than others and this one is lower than average. Some examples (a) overflowing trash containers (b) morning breakfast has "out of order" on the apple/orange juice dispenser (c) cracks in doors with a moderate cricket problem outside. In contrast to some others in budget category where I found an attention to detail and cleanliness. This one is fine but below average.

Front desk was great, but the lady that does the breakfast didnt show up for 3 of the 5 days we stayed. Texas shaped waffles and the ather typical hotel breakfast. Clean and will stay at again

I was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely stay here every time I come visit my kids. Great breakfast, super clean and comfortable, also staff was exceptional.

Overall a good stay. The attendants taking care of the breakfast are two wonderful, caring ladies.
