The only complaint I have is the pool was closed. You should let people know that before they book, one of the main reasons we picked this place was for the outside pool. Other than that, the stay was good, good location, friendly staff.

Kim is an excellent employee she truly enhanced my stay. My big problem was that the pool was closed and it was nasty. Algae ridden and disgusting. Don't advertise a pool if it is CLOSED!

Pool was closed( main reason for booking here was pool) They said motor on filters wasn't working. But it was running fine and water was crystal clear. Could not get extra pillows. Police searching vehicles and obvious prostitutes.

I booked this particular hotel out of the large number available in the area. I chose it because of the price along with a swimming pool. I asked and was never told the pool would not be open for the season yet. This was extremely disappointing to me, especially because the pool is advertised on official sites and popular booking sites. Other hotels publish or email the temporary unavailability of a pool or other amenity.

The room was not clean. The floors would leave our feet black after getting out of the shower. The bathroom had someone elses hair in it prior to us using it. The bathroom door needs repair, it\'s difficult to close. The bedframe needs to be tightened ,any movement made loud noise, the TV had maybe 10 channels, the noise level from the room south of us was bad. I could hear their conversations, even their watch alarm that went off for long periods of time and multiple times. We took the do not disturb off on Saturday assuming the room would be cleaned and we\'d get fresh towels, neithee happened. Their was a live cockroach in our room. The breakfast was not handled well. They have 2 waffle irons. 1 the batter stuck EVERY time. So they were down to one. We asked for cooking spray" they were waiting on a truck" , they also had tissue out instead of napkins, and the cleaning staff came in for breakfast and made their coffee whole the area was fairly busy with guests. It felt unprofessional to me and with the lack of cleanliness overall it upset me honestly. People work for their money and to stay somewhere that you can\'t sleep well due to noise and paranoia about bed bugs etc. They need to do better. The staff was very friendly, the location is good. But otherwise much room for improvement

Check in process was smooth. Unloaded my bags, walked in the room & couldn’t count the amount of roaches that ran across the floor. Went right back to the front desk & asked for a refund. I was offered a different room but declined. I would imagine if one room has that many bugs the other rooms do as well.

Cockroaches in the room and bathroom. Also, there was a mat in the tub that looked like it’s never been cleaned, and the tub was completely brown underneath it. Absolutely would not recommend or ever stay here again.

It smelled wet and musty like a basement in my room. There’s 3 less roaches living there now. It says breakfast comes with your stay. There was no breakfast. There wasn’t even coffee !!!!

Gentleman greeted us with a smile. I expressed my concern regarding the reviews i read on here and Google, he said if there were any problems to let him know. Room was clean, smelled clean, bed was comfy, tv worked. AC worked, had hot water . Had NO creepy crawlers which was my biggest concern regarding past reviews. I would definitely stay here again. Very convenient as well.

The first room we were put in smelled like smoke. There were multiple burns on the side of the bathtub and ashes on the toilet seat. Called front desk. She was very nice and offered to change rooms. Second room smelled better, but th the bathtub had a lot of hair in it, there was urine in the bathroom floor, the refrigerator had mold, the door's security lock and deadbolt were both broken and the bed covers had stains. The beds were at least comfortable. The microwave also made a very strange noise and didn't work well. The worst La Quinta Inn I I have ever stayed in. Will not be back. Have pictures and videos, but it's not letting me add them, for some reason.

The door to the room was comimg apart. Literally! You could close the door completely then could push in the part of the door that was coming apart. Did not feel very safe. Huge crack below door that let a spider in. Beds were comfy and staff was very nice. Property needs upgrades.

There are roaches. In addition, the door outside of my room that leads to the lobby needs to be fixed so that it does not slam every time that it is used. The refrigerator needs to be replaced. It ticks endlessly 24/7 making it impossible to sleep.

The door to our room had a nice gap at the bottom of it from the inside. Bathroom door did not close whatsoever. Crickets in the room. Extra roll of toilet paper had mold on it when I went to open it. Pool was closed or out of service but looked pretty clean for people to use it.

Unsafe unsafe unsafe unsafe. We were given 2 separate rooms because there was not a working lock on the original room's door. The second room was worse because not only was the lock nonfinctional but so was the "safety lock". Phone to property not working.

It was a quiet place and a clean room, except some towels had stains. The breakfast was just good. If the room's TV is not working, try doing what we did: connecting the TV cable on the back. The last, the room fire detector, was disassembled for an unknown reason. The hotel has a very convenient location close to downtown. The hotel's outside pictures (on the website) need to be updated—it looks dark grey, which is not very attractive.

Peoperty was affordable. Foot traffic was a little loud at night. Room was clean but the smoke detwctor was hanging by a wire, there was no vent fan in the bathroom.which caused mold on the ceiling in the shower. The tub and sink did not drain. The maintenance in the place is horrible. Breakfast was okay and a nice variety of choices, however, the prep area was small causing crowding around the area where you get the food.

My check in and check out was easy, staff was exceptionally friendly, lobby and grounds were kept clean, room was beautiful (I took pictures within 10 min of walking in the room) VERY WELL worth the money, I actually would have paid more for this room. It was amazing and comfortable.

This was the quickest and best check-in I’ve ever had! no fuss. No BS. I gave the clerkmy ID, he typed on the computer for a second and gave me the key. Quick and easy.I couldn’t have asked for a better night. Thank you so much to the clerk working the desk tonight at la Quinta in Tyler tx.

Staff is awesome but understaffed and tired! They were kind and helpful! Best part of my stay! Property is just plain sad! My door lock was broken. My shower drain was clogged! Every faucet was barely working. There was a giant yellow stain on my comforter. There was a giant cockroach under my yellow stained comforter! Pretty sure people live in the hotel rooms! Picture on website is a gross misrepresentation of the actual hotel! I know you will just write back and say sorry for bad experience but you really should take the time to fix all these problems! I stay in hotels 3 weekends a month and my last 2 La Quinta stays have been dismal! Do better!

For it to have been a last minute reservation, the attendant at the front desk was completely friendly he actually walked me to our room, my husband had dropped one of my shoes he actually picked it up himself and handed it back! Very friendly, and made me feel much so welcome. Kudos to La Quinta

Vagrant people in parking lot across from the room staring at us while we walked in. The room smelled like cigarettes even though it's non-smoking. The bathtub was so filthy looking that I didn't even want to step into it, I checked out without taking a shower because the condition of it was so dirty looking. The sheets on both beds were stained. We felt dirty just being in the room and checked out by 6 am so we could just get out of there. The room was cheap, but it was a reminder that "you get what you pay for"

This place needs to be torn down. Bugs everywhere, floors were filthy, your feet would be black walking from shower to bed, the furniture looked like it had been in a bar brawl literally screwed back together. Holes in the walls the list goes on. There was a steady stream of people in and out of rooms till daybreak partying. We won't return. I would add photos but that feature does night work

Pool was closed( main reason for booking here was pool) They said motor on filters wasn't working. But it was running fine and water was crystal clear. Could not get extra pillows. Police searching vehicles and obvious prostitutes.

It was a quiet place and a clean room, except some towels had stains. The breakfast was just good. If the room's TV is not working, try doing what we did: connecting the TV cable on the back. The last, the room fire detector, was disassembled for an unknown reason. The hotel has a very convenient location close to downtown. The hotel's outside pictures (on the website) need to be updated—it looks dark grey, which is not very attractive.

Probably in the top 3 worst places I've stayed. The room reeked of cleaner so bad it gave me a headache. Smell does not equal clean. Breakfast was cereal, waffle, bagel, or minimuffin. Pool was closed for the season, it is May 25th.For the price we shoulda stayed somewhere nice.

We booked this hotel just off of what we saw online. It was false advertising in my opinion. Online it said it offered breakfast and showed a picture of 2 waffle makers so we thought surely they will have a decent breakfast. When we entered the lobby we saw a juice machine with a sign on it that said “broken indefinitely.” That should have been a red flag. The next morning my husband went to get breakfast and came back to the room with an apple and dry cereal. He said that was all they had. Not even milk for the small cereal container. Besides that the room was dirty. The bathroom door would not even shut properly and it was wobbly and screwed together at the bottom half. The pool was not maintained with many tiles missing. The water was clear but was significantly low. Needless to say we did not go swimming. We had already paid for 5 days so we couldn’t go somewhere else because we would not get a refund and had to stay there while our son with special needs attended a summer camp at UT Tyler. We chose this hotel because it was cheap and we did not have money to get a better room at the time. It served it’s purpose which was to have a place to sleep but it was definitely the worst hotel room we have ever stayed in.

Breakfast was very limited - waffle and cold cereal and cold hard-boiled eggs -- no meat, no sweet rolls, nothing hot except the usual waffle ~ staff "on phones" with ear buds in and had to holler at them a couple of times to get their attention. all in all wasn't very impressed with facility.

The initial room I was given was infested with roaches. They were in the restroom shower/tub, in the toilet... Yes, in the toilet. I alerted staff and they moved me to another room which was fine. The property is quite old and out of date. I would pass on staying there again.

Breakfast was fresh and typical continental well stocked. Clean room but found a few live bugs running around. Unusual for their hotel. Needs basic improvements, like lifting toilets or new High boy style, old ones are too low, chips in tub and toilet, wood doors chipped. Simple improvements. Beds were great, tv, frig, micro in room all worked and updated. Nicely painted and good laminate flooring. Shower could use a safety rubber mat or grab bar for elderly.

We stayed at this hotel back in November of 2022 and it’s safe to say this hotel has gotten even worse. We originally booked a non-smoking room on the first floor. And when we arrived, we were told we got a non-smoking room, but it was on the second floor. Even though I expressed that due to accessibility reasons of first floor room was necessary. The first room reeked of cigarettes. We tried calling the front desk to ask if there was another room, but nobody was answering the phone. So we drove up to the front desk. We were met with a Mail employee and I explained to him that we need a new room. He said he could offer us a room, but it would only have one bed which we were fine with that. Then mid conversation of him helping me, some woman comes up and is complaining about another front desk, staff, and asking if he can just be the only one to accept her money. The male employee stopped helping me and began flirting with the guest even going as far as telling her that he accepts tips via Cash App and he gets off at 10. She left and then he resumed our interaction as if nothing happened. It was beyond wild. The room itself? Absolutely disgusting. There was a cockroach leg on the floor in the bathroom. No clue where the carcass went. There were dead spiders in the corners above the window. The air-conditioning unit was absolutely caked in dust and stunk mildewy. The towels were stained. The bathroom was a travesty. It was 1030 at night or we would have left. Do not stay here.
