After a long day and hot drive, looked forward to the pool but it was not filled. There was only lukewarm water for the shower. The room was a handicap room and the peep holes were filled with toilet paper. The bed was ok. There was a microwave and mini fridge. Mc Donald's next door was the only place within walking distance to eat at. The other mini takeout place closed at 5.

The pool, much advertised in photos, my prime reason for selecting this hotel was closed. "out of season" with 85 degrees outside! Breakfast very limited: waffles and bagels. Rooms just a regular motel.

Its a serviceable roadside inn and the location is good if you want to get to Guadalupe Mountains NP. Rooms were dated, but very clean. Breakfast had several options including waffles which is nice. Pool is out of commission which was a bummer in July. All in all decent hotel at a good price

There are not many places to stay in that part of Texas. They had this video check in machine. Was a bit surprising, but worked well. Pool was empty (end of March) and rooms a bit dated. Breakfast was ok.

We were unable to reach the front desk by phone before we arrived to confirm our reservation and to let them know we would arrive after midnight. There was a kiosk in the lobby when we arrived and it displayed a person we could talk to and check it. That was actually pretty easy! The room was good and the food for breakfast was good, also. And the pricing was really good for the room. Note, the pool was not usable.

There's stray dogs everywhere, garbage pile near the back of the property like someone dumped their whole house. Our room had an infestation of flies. Thankful for the nicest staff.It looks like a junkyard in the back of the property. No pool, it was empty. Dust everywhere. Air conditioning works, thankfully. Doesn't look like the corners of the floors were cleaned in quit some time .

The property was located right off the highway. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom needed a little work. The pool was closed and had no water in it. Luckily we were just passing through. I didn’t think the place was nice enough for the cost.

Possibly the worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed in. Room was filthy. The hotel information was stuck to the door with a Band-Aid. There was hair all over the bathroom floor. And the list goes on.

Rooms need to be cleaned better. The person who clean my room obviously didn’t care that there was a blob of the previous peoples toothpaste in the sink. Hair is on the counters, the top of the coffee maker had dust on it. No customer service at check-in or check out anymore. If you do catch a live person behind the counter, they point to the kiosk nearby, where you turn it on and a man from India with a headset comes on the screen and takes all your information.

There were flies, dead and alive, dark hair in the shower and we are both light headed, large black beetles by the shower, noisy refrigerator and bathroom fan. The bathroom door would not close due being so out of square. This room was not worth my money!!!

The check in time was complicated because EXPEDIA had changed it's accessibility requiring me to login with Google passwords, and then rechecking. It took too much time to access my reservation. At check in, the receptionist typed in all the info that was on my Expedia account. Too even more time. Once settled, the dead bolt on the door did not work. The placed looked safe enough and we were exhausted, so I just let it go. The hotel is next to the freeway and very loud. It's an older motel that has been refurbed. It was OK.

For the price it's a nice place. Our 2nd floor King room had new carpet. Everything else is a little dated. The front desk lady (sorry don't remember her name) was very pleasant. The deafbolt didnt work (rm 223) but the door wasnt accessible from the outside when closed. Door looks to be out of square.

This was my third stay here and always try and make my trips through Van Horn for this to be my go to place. It is clean, the service is EXCELLENT and helpful and we enjoy our stay every single time we are here!

The hotel uses an automated check-in system. There is no way to check in using your normal credit card with a person behind the counter. The system was down and for 30 minutes, they tried to get it fixed. Fortunately, the end keeper was very nice and let us stay in our room anyway. When I came back by this morning, I was able to take care of anything I needed to take care of.

Arrived at night and there was no on site staff, just a kiosk with a webcam. The person on the kiosk was very nice but kept having technical difficulties that would have been easier to deal with someone in person. It's not something you want to deal with late at night when you just to go to bed

The virtual checkin SUCKS! It took 12 plus minutes to get the kiosk to work. I could not understand the agent. He issued a key that did not work and I had to go back for a new key. I will not be back to any QI if this is there new level of disservice.

It appears that T-Mobil and ATT has an issue with updating the time. The hotel knows this and the clocks in the rooms are all set to the wrong time also. Breakfast is till 9:30. Since the clocks are all wrong a large group of us all missed breakfast by an hour. As the staff said sorry we are closed you can have coffee Last time we will stay there!

The reason to rent in this property was because it has a pool and when we got there there wasn’t a pool at all. And all the outside trash can we’re completed full. Plus breakfast was bad and they just were staring at us to see how much breakfast we got and they even pick up before the stablished schedule time. There were boxes of cereal but no milk were offered.
