Great stay at the Comfort Suites Chesapeake - Norfolk. The room was clean, a decent size and had what was needed for the stay, including a refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast was good and busy, but staff worked diligently to keep it stocked. There was water, coffee, etc., available in the lobby throughout the day. There was adequate parking and the area felt safe. The pool area was nice and the fitness room which is right off the side of the pool area is small with not much equipment, but it’s good that they have it available. The hotel is on a strip with a number of other hotels, but ensures that it has a bit of everything to offer for your stay.

Room 348. It was fantastic. The room was clean, the bed was VERY comfortable, the pillows were comfortable. I used the pool while i was there and it was well taken care of. The breakfast was tasty and actually hot. I sincerely have no complaints.

Staff was very rude and unfriendly/unprofessional. Several people were complaining about their reservations being cancelled without any notice! And having to rebook once arrived for higher raise. Seems like a scam or The Ponzi scheme to get more money. We also had bed bugs! I have several bites I’ve taken pictures of. Seems as if they couldn’t do anything. I will reach out to corporate if no one can reach back out to me!

I am not sure how to even review this property. It was generally nice and seemed updated. It was quiet and they staff were friendly. We thought it was pretty clean. Our stay was going well until a huge roach ran across our floor. We only saw one but that was enough. We killed it and had to make sure we checked our bags good before we left.

Room was dirty where it didn’t look like they vacuumed at all. The sheets on the one bed were dirty with stains, I had to request new ones. Both down comforters on the beds had stains. The room didn’t have a hair dryer like advertised at all. The room also had a bad odor to it as well.

Pros: Safe area, clean, decent breakfast, many dining options nearby Cons: Very loud (highway noise & thin walls let us hear our neighbor's easily) Thankfully, the hotel room A/C/Heater had a function to have a constant fan, and that (plus earplugs) blocked a lot of the noise so we actually were able to sleep well.

Booked this hotel a week in advance, drive 12 hours and arrive around 6 PM just to be told that they cancelled our reservation for non-payment, even though we selected to Pay once we arrived on Expedia. They did not call or email us to inform us of this cancellation. They then tell me that they have no rooms available, so my wife, 4 kids, and I had to scramble to find another hotel late at night. The front desk person was just super rude and did not even apologize for the inconvenience. She literally just told me they had no rooms now and then ignored me and my family until I grabbed all of our luggage and left. Thankfully, Homewood Suites by Hilton, which is next door, took us in and treated us with so much respect. Do not stay at Comfort. It’s for your own good.

Stay was good except for morning breakfast person. She was rude and seemed to have an attitude. Walked in there for breakfast and was checking out afterwards she was telling me loudly that breakfast was over. Breakfast when we checked in on weekends is 7am-10am. But during the week it ends at 9am. Wasn't told that and some other sitting there and got the same treatment. I'm not the one who likes to complain but her attitude rubbed me the wrong way. And other felt the same and said they where going to complain about this worker.

I wish I got the name of the lady working the front desk at check in because she was wonderful. Check in was quick and easy and our room was great and right by the pool with easy access to the lobby as well. Breakfast was hot and delicious. There were a lot of people and only 1 waffle iron so be aware if you want waffles. We would definitely stay again!

Overall it was a great stay for the short time we were there. I definitely will stay there again when I am in the area. Room was neat, comfortable and clean. Breakfast selection was great. Staff was friendly.

Currently undergoing renovation and breakfast area not available, although they did hand out breakfast bags. Most of the staff was exceptional, one breakfast person was was not, but the other 10 staff (front desk, breakfast staff the prior day, housekeeping) were really great, friendly and helpful, which is why a 4 and not a 3. Room was clean and quiet, bed was ultra comfy and shower was nice!

Room 348. It was fantastic. The room was clean, the bed was VERY comfortable, the pillows were comfortable. I used the pool while i was there and it was well taken care of. The breakfast was tasty and actually hot. I sincerely have no complaints.

Moved out of state and have returned a few times to take care of business with quick overnights. This hotel meets our needs. Is close to our old home in Chesapeake and has breakfast for my 3 year old. Nothing spectacular here, but nothing to complain about either.

The staff here is amazing, they were so helpful and informational, especially the front desk, clerk Jacob. The bathroom was not as clean as it could’ve been, there were random stray hairs baseboards hadn’t been done and mildew in the shower, things that could be fixed with just a little more attention to detail. The water pressure was amazing. we never ran out of hot water. The premises were pretty secure, only being able to get in the front door where the clerk was without a key. The breakfast provided was pretty good and they always have coffee available. 24 hours. The gym was small but sufficient and also open 24 hours. They also had laundry rooms where you could do your laundry if necessary drawback, the whole downstairs smelled like weed, not sure if it was a guest or an employee, but it was very apparent by the overwhelming smell of weed. Overall, a good stay, room was comfortable and also several elevators and exits for easy access to your car and all were secured. Could hear highway noise, but we had a room facing it.
