Everything was very clean and the area around the pool was beautiful. Our outdoor door had gaps in it and we had a few crickets in the room from the gaps but everything else was excellent!

While I initially booked this stay with optimism based on positive reviews, our experience quickly revealed that the conditions at this property were far below reasonable expectations for a safe, clean, and comfortable stay. We arrived around 6:00 p.m. on June 24 for what was supposed to be a four-night stay. Upon arrival, we were immediately concerned when we saw two individuals sitting on the curb outside the lobby who appeared to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. This set an unsettling tone before we even checked in. As someone recovering from a herniated disc and currently suffering from sciatica, I asked the front desk about elevator access. I was told there was only one elevator located on the complete opposite side of the hotel from our room on the second floor—making it extremely difficult and painful for me to carry luggage and access our accommodations. Upon walking to our room, we encountered overflowing trash cans and cigarette butts scattered around the premises. Inside the pool area, guests were openly consuming alcohol—both from cans and glass bottles (while swimming)—despite clear signage prohibiting glass in the pool area. This was not only a violation of hotel policy but also a serious safety hazard, especially for families with young children like ours. This property is spread out with several buildings surrounding a pool in the center. The free breakfast is served buffet-style in the on-site restaurant and is about average for Best Western hotels. The room was comfortable and well-appointed and parking was ample. The "privacy please" for the door was magnetic, a huge improvement over those flimsy ones that fall off the handle. My only complaint is small--when I checked in, no mention was made about breakfast (hours, location or the fact that you need to get a ticket every morning at the front desk). However, it all worked and we had quite a nice stay.

We enjoyed being 5 minutes from olde town, very nice pool, and the fact that there was a restaurant built into the hotel. Peppers had great food at a great price. Very friendly staff throughout the building.

The breakfast was not as good as I was hoping. I would not eve try the restaurant. Coffee was very weak. Apples were the only fruit other than juice. Hot food floor area was sticky and/or slippery due to syrup spills. The "gym" was extremely small with 5 cardio machines and no room to do anything else. The fitted bed sheet was coming loose and we had to tuck it in ourselves each night.

It was ok for a quick stay. Had to walk to main office (was not a short walk) several times for simple items like towels and toilet paper. Was there with kids and pool was closed entire stay. Weather was an issue but checking chlorine the first day shouldn't have taken all day.

Check-in was quick, simple. Viewed the pool it was clean and large with lots of table & chairs with lounge chairs. Had carts to get everything to our room asked for 1st floor and by the time we got there it was ready for us. The room WoW new, everything was new,, the bed was comfortable, towels soft & also new, they gave me extras a the front desk. Water pressure was high, Breakfast bar hot food, from eggs, bacon, biscuits w/gravy, French toast,(homemade), to apples and pastries. Will stay again. Thank you Amanda (the lady at the desk)

Cockroaches. There were cockroaches in our room! Room 201 on 5/28. I told the front desk, they were nonchalant, unconcerned and didn’t say a word about it.

Check-in was at 3pm and we got there around 5:15pm and were told our room wasn’t ready. They said they would call when it was available. We didn’t receive a call for our room until 7pm. We have a two year old toddler who had just spent 5 hours in the car and goes to bed at 7:30pm so not having a room until 7pm wasn’t a good start. Then, we also paid extra for this hotel because it had a pool. Not realizing because it’s not advertised that it doesn’t even open until May 1. Finally, when we got to our room we couldn’t use the top blanket because it had hair and several stains on it, we had half a roll of toilet paper (for 3 nights) and had to request more, and there were several hairs sitting in the shower and on the toilet seat. Just started off disappointed.

The hotel was very conveniently located right off the highway. However, the room was not as clean as it could have been. They was sticky things on the wall next to the bed. The bedspread on the bed closest to the door had brown stains on the white spread. The outside of our room, which was around the back was dirty and not well maintained. The cost was good. The breakfast buffet was excellent and just about made up fir the uncleanliness of tge room.

This was so awful that we ended up asking for a refund at 11 pm and went to a different hotel. The beds had hair and dirt in them (?), there was hair on the bathroom floor, and the towels were stained. The property itself smelled like weed and the rooms smelled very musty. We also didn’t realize that the Baymont and Days Inn are in the same building, so they are pretty much one hotel. The website was very misleading in this way. The only good thing about this place was that the front desk was very accommodating when we asked for our refund. But overall, I would not recommend staying here.

Not quite what I was expecting from a Wyndham. The toilet was dirty upon arrival. The a/c fan was noisy and not very effective unless on 62. Beds were comfortable, pillows very soft. Place was being remodeled while we were staying there. That was not a problem. This unit appeared to be an old motel being refurbished.

My room wasn’t clean, even though we waited almost 2 hrs after check in for it to be ready. The updated rooms on the 2nd floor are a better option. The ones on the first floor are full of bugs. No bueno!

I booked this dump because on kayak it had the most stars of all the hotels in town. What a complete and total dump.Room is dirty, paint pealing, cob webs hanging from the ceiling. We arrived after 9pm after a long day. Otherwise we would have left. Worst room I’ve ever stayed in anywhere.

This hotel is gradually being upgraded from a Days Inn. Our room was large and clean. The bathroom was tiny but clean. Hypoallergenic bedding was made available on request. Our room was facing the inner garden/pool area so quiet. Not sure what the outer rooms would be like. The breakfast buffet was good. The price was reasonable for this facility. Would stay here again.

The place was advertised as a hotel, but was a motel. I was incredibly disappointed when we arrived. Every night guests smoked outside of our room, filling it with the smell of cigarette smoke. Electrical outlets were hard to find and sketchy. Water pressure in the shower was bad.

Room had an odor, big round spot missing from the carpet, sink and bath were slow to drain (literally standing in about 8 inches of water, wall paper peeling away from wall, entryway door did not close with a seal, I could see a line of light between the doorframe and the door. Staff was friendly.

The staff was so friendly, and when there was a problem with the room (my son's toilet was flooding!) maintenance arrived while I was still on the phone with front desk!! Excellent service!

Check-in was at 3pm and we got there around 5:15pm and were told our room wasn’t ready. They said they would call when it was available. We didn’t receive a call for our room until 7pm. We have a two year old toddler who had just spent 5 hours in the car and goes to bed at 7:30pm so not having a room until 7pm wasn’t a good start. Then, we also paid extra for this hotel because it had a pool. Not realizing because it’s not advertised that it doesn’t even open until May 1. Finally, when we got to our room we couldn’t use the top blanket because it had hair and several stains on it, we had half a roll of toilet paper (for 3 nights) and had to request more, and there were several hairs sitting in the shower and on the toilet seat. Just started off disappointed.

We have a miserable time because it was a leak one night and the hotel staff it was not able to find a solution next morning I ask the person in the front desk to send someone to clean it and check out the problem and never didn’t also some of my personal items was damaged for the water leak and they said I will get it replaced and never happened So we are not happy about it and never stay in the hotel…

Our fridge didn’t work so they bright another one and that didn’t work. They finally sent someone and found out it the outlet that was the issue. Also I was charged multiple “holds” on my bank account with no resolution and the holds were daily with different amounts that made no sense. No one including the manager could explain the reason it was happening and it caused me to have over $500 held from me my entire stay which left me short on funds for my trip

The hotel was overbooked by over 10 rooms. At check in I was told I would have to leave on Thursday even though I was booked through Sunday. The ladies at the desk were very nice but no sign of a manager even when I asked numerous times for him. I was told on wed that I could stay until Friday. Then on Thursday they said I could stay till Sunday. I had friends also staying there that had to leave.

Room not cleaned after we asked housekeeping to clean it. Only halfway cleaned after we asked frontdesk. Guest sitting outside their rooms on the grass with packs of beer drinking. Shoes, chairs, unattended housekeeping carts all in the walkways. Smell of Marijuana. This used to be out go to hotel. We have never had issues here before. We will find elsewhere to stay next time. They are attracting a different crowd of people. They need to raise their standards back up. The restaurant and bar are great. Breakfast and servers are fabulous. Taylor at the front desk was the best thing about the hotel.

The hotel was very conveniently located right off the highway. However, the room was not as clean as it could have been. They was sticky things on the wall next to the bed. The bedspread on the bed closest to the door had brown stains on the white spread. The outside of our room, which was around the back was dirty and not well maintained. The cost was good. The breakfast buffet was excellent and just about made up fir the uncleanliness of tge room.

We enjoyed being 5 minutes from olde town, very nice pool, and the fact that there was a restaurant built into the hotel. Peppers had great food at a great price. Very friendly staff throughout the building.

I must admit, I was a little hesitant on making these reservations here. However, after our experience at a $250 night hotel the week prior, I figured it couldn't be ant worse. This was the perfect stay. The outside was a bit dated, but up-kept and clean. The rooms themselves were updated and again, clear. The staff pleasant was more than accommodating. Peppers, the in house restaurant was great. A 10oz steak was a 10oz steak, unlike the national chains where an 8oz steak magically turns into a 6oz [or less] steak. Portions, options and pricing were good. Our waitress was very tentative.

This hotel is gradually being upgraded from a Days Inn. Our room was large and clean. The bathroom was tiny but clean. Hypoallergenic bedding was made available on request. Our room was facing the inner garden/pool area so quiet. Not sure what the outer rooms would be like. The breakfast buffet was good. The price was reasonable for this facility. Would stay here again.

Small room too much furniture. Very clean. Nice firm bed and soft bedding. Small microwave. Mini fridge. Hard to find front desk, you have to go inside where the restaurant is to find front desk. Friendly staff. Free and lots of parking. It's two hotels in one with bar restaurant. Continental breakfast. The breakfast was not as good as I was hoping. I would not eve try the restaurant. Coffee was very weak. Apples were the only fruit other than juice. Hot food floor area was sticky and/or slippery due to syrup spills. The "gym" was extremely small with 5 cardio machines and no room to do anything else. The fitted bed sheet was coming loose and we had to tuck it in ourselves each night.

The hot breakfast buffet the next morning at the restaurant makes this one of my new favorite places to stay when I'm in Culpeper. The pool was amazing, the staff was friendly when I addressed them about a problem but the breakfast alone was off the hook! We are talking sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, fried potatoes cooked right, French toast, so many choices. I will definitely be back!

The room was pleasant. However, the toilet every time we flushed it the valve stuck and I had to take the top of the tank off and loose the chain. Also when we went to put the floor mat down to take a shower. The mat was dirty when I unfolded it. Also the bedspread abd shower curtain were stained which because they were white made it look not so pleasant. We had trouble with the TV, but the staff worked on the problem and finally got the TV working. The beds were comfortable and they do provide a wonderful breakfast buffet with your stay. We would stay here again.

This was the 2nd time we'd stayed here. It's clean, very nice staff, & has a nice breakfast. Peppers Grill is a good place for dinner, also. One of our friends had a water problem with their room & were immediately given another with no hassle.

I have stayed at this property many times, but since Wyndham took over the property has really gone down hill. Walkways had cigarette butts and other trash. Pool was not open yet, but the area should still be maintained. There were some large pieces of equipment and pallets of something next to my room. Very unsightly. I used to look forward to the buffet breakfast, but somehow that was also a disappointment. First of all, you're hit with a sign at the entrance to the restaurant that basically said 'you need tip the server.' I don't mind tipping, but in realty, they only bring you coffee, everything else is already out in the open. Quality of the breakfast was very poor. I was so disappointed in my stay, I left after one night and moved to the Hampton Inn.
