the room was old and not very clean ,wallpaper was missing from one area in the bath room celling was cracked and unfinished over tub .no hair dryer,no shampoo front desk could not be reached for help very disappointing the stairs were blocked so we had to go from one area to another try and get to the room or out of the hotel not to mention to have one staircase available to many guest rooms is a fire hazard

Clean room. Good price. Pool not opened but was there just for a place to sleep and shower. Will be back for business.

No access to stairs if a fire occurred. The side with our rooms was taped off. We had to walk through a breezeway to the other side and take steps to get to first level. Asked for clean towels on second day there and we were told they didn’t have any. We checked out a day early and they would not refund money.

Good location for the area. Pool never opened. Overall was fine.

Staff was great. Property should be renovated. Pool haven’t been working for the past 2 years I visited this hotel. This place is very convenient for the things I visit VA for.

I have been coming here for 3 years would really love to have the pool fixed the staff and the management and maintenance everybody is fantastic I just wish the pool was fixed I feel you would bring in a lot more people

Typical weekend visit; room was clean and neat. Have stayed in the past without any issues. Just wish their pool was open. Could have really been able to relax on such a hot weekend.

The staff was friendly. The property was needing some help. The stairs that were convenient to our room were closed down for repairs. This was a hit and run for us to stay there and then leave early in the morning to continue our trip so we didn’t have great expectations. Pretty much got what we paid for.

Nice hotel for the price, said it had a pool but was all coved up and two main stair ways were also blocked off, but room was nice and clean and staff were good

I have been coming here for 3 years now just family trips, but I wish the pool would get fixed... I know the beach is only 30 mins away but who's to say everyone wants to drive that 30 mins hoping the pool gets fix soon .... thank you for another great stay

Check in was fast & easy. Receptionist very nice. Lobby was very clean & smelled good! Now about my room. Upon walking in seemed clean. Had s very musty smell but i believe it was from the air conditioner. Although things appeared clean they were not but not so much for me to leave. Bathtub clearly wasnt cleaned because it was a dirty ring around it & some type of blue gel. The toilet had hair on it & one of my towels clearly wasnt washed because it had stains on it. For the price i didn't bother to complain i just cleaned & disinfected & went & purchased my own towels. Maybe housekeeping was having a bad day. I would stay here again especially compared to the other options in the area. All staff was very friendly & quickly helped when i couldn't get in my room.

The property was filthy. They charged me a 100 damage deposit for an already dirty room. There was mold in the bathroom, large clumps of hair in the tub, stains on the walls. This property has really gone down the last few years.

Kind of a dingy, old style hotel room that needs some serious updating. Dead bugs on the floor in bathroom & on carpet. No tissues in bathroom. Only 1 plus, the bed was comfortable, which was a nice surprise considering the condition of the rest of the room

The room had a strong odor of mold/mildew. I had to purchase some odor remover spray however it didn’t help. I had to use my inhaler several times to breathe.

The room was really damp. We woke up and everything was wet. Floors were dirty and bathroom was rusted badly. We looked for another hotel or Bed and Breakfast nothing available so we were stuck there. Absolutely disgusting.

We had to leave due to bed bugs

It has seen better days. Humid and musty feel in the room.

What can I say apart from bedbugs!!!! No refund my choice to check out early!!! AMAZING customer service.

Outdated but clean

Its a place to sleep. Only one desk chair in the room to sit and a bed, one table. Parking lot could be cleaned.

Bed in room had mattress that was old and sagged in the middle and hard to get out of

Bed leaned/sloped to one side. Checked in late. Just dealt with the bed through our one night stay. Everything else was clean and well maintained.

Good location. Rooms could use some uodating.

No closet space. Limited table space to perform business or office functions. No microwave. Not enough linens. Musty smell in the room upon first entry. Limited customer service to address room issues.

This was my second time staying at the location since I traveled through two years ago staying for a couple nights. It’s a bare bones experience but provided a safe place to sleep for two nights and was decently clean. I was a little disturbed by how soggy the carpet felt but it was the middle of summer so humidity was high too. I think the AC unit struggled to keep up. The walls weren’t the most insulated but it was families with kids on both sides of my room. It wasn’t enough to keep me awake but noticeable they were occupied. I am sure mildew is a problem in most older hotels and it was present in the bathroom but probably as much due to age and staining. The management did seem to be updating or repairing the room since I noticed a couple new items in the room including a new bathroom towel rack that had just been install as indicated by the drywall dust accumulated underneath (probably a male that never even noticed that he was not leaving the room particularly clean but at least it was new dust). Detailed cleaning was not their specialty but the room was tolerable. I do have to say I appreciated hot showers. The check in process was a little awkward. The hotel lobby is closed from 5pm until something like 8am in the morning so I am not sure what good it is… it looked decent through the door. We had to stand in a small entryway and communicate through a small plexiglass window. Once all the paperwork was done the staff was helpful and went out of her way to help us.

OK for the money, mattress a bit soft and used. Towels were very small.....no desk in the room. Check out too early at 10AM. No coffee maker in room but there were coffee ccondiments????

Easy, convenient and spacious room with good air conditioning

The hotel staff exemplified great customer service as they were attentive, friendly and helpful. Issues were addressed very timely. The room was clean and comfortable. One complaint….we have been patrons for this hotel for nearly 25 years without serious problems. We usually stay during an annual church conference held nearby. On our most recent departure we were emailed our receipt for $174.64. Days later on my credit card, I noted an additional $161.66. Upon inquiry I was notified the additional cost was for a couple of stained wash cloths as this was considered room damage. Attempts to contact the property manager for consideration as we have been annual patrons to this hotel for over 25 years were futile. Future deal breaker…probably. Meanwhile I would recommend the hotel clearly defines “damage to room” as most people would not consider a couple of stained wash cloths worthy of the $150 plus tax fee. I believe a proactive approach would eliminate confusion. Thank you for the opportunity to educate others who may consider this establishment as a hotel option. Best wishes.

Super quick check-in and check out, nice staff, and great location.

My stay was cool. Everything did as needed. Nothing to fancy but overall felt comfortable. The little white lady was really nice and when I checked out both the black lady and white lady at the front desk was really nice and the conversation was awesome. My only dislike was them not accepting cash after a certain hour. Not everyone will access to money digitally.

AVOID this place, they claimed I stained one of their wash cloth. They decided to Charge me $161 dollars for this. Now assuming that the wash cloth incident is true, for a 2 dollar item, I should not be charged $161. Total SCAM!!!!

Very friendly staff

location was very convenient. good parking. staff interaction was very limited. no pool open. ice was accessed only by front desk so only available 9-5. same with hair dryer. computer was down so check in was delayed and fd was overwhelmed. room was clean but had faint odor like cat pee. otherwise stay was fine. outside noise was muffled and bed was comfortable.

The front desk workers are very nice and try their best to accommodate your needs. But one of the housekeeper with the red hair is rude she walks in and out of the rooms she came in my room before I could respond she was in my room.

The lobby was closed after 5pm. We had to stand and wait in the area between the external doors and the lobby while the "front desk" person was on the phone. There was a small lineup behind us by the time she got to us. She gave us a key to the wrong room and we walked into a room occupied by a woman and her kids. Once everything was sorted out, the room was okay.

Location was very close to my cycling event.

Reception very friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean. Convenient for National Wildlife Reserves.

It was very adequate (clean, with the basic amenities). The clerk (who was always behind a glass window) was very nice and helpful. It was also close to dining establishments and activities in Onancock.

Very reasonable, clean, centrally located on the Eastern Shore.

The guy at the front desk was super nice and friendly answered questions I had about the area the room was clean it was quiet an the price was amazing for as close to the beaches as it is!

I like the accessibility of shopping and dining within walking distance.

The staff is great-very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. It was also very basic and a bit dated, which I expected for such a reasonable price. There were plenty of dining options nearby. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable place to sleep at a reasonable price.

The manager, or whoever it was that greeted us after 10:00 at night was very courteous. Also, he was just as courteous when we checked out at 7:00 in the morning. What the hotel didn't offer, (maybe because McDonalds was just next door), was a coffee machine in the room, (which is why I bring my own!)

Was adequate for the price. The lobby is only open from 9am-5pm so the beautiful fireplace/great room are not r accessible in the evening when you would like to relax. Staff was very pleasant and helpful all the way round. Close to food/shopping/entertainment.

Staff was nice. Rooms could be updated, peeling wall paper, had. Weird smell. Dirty under bed.Tv didnt work upon arrival needed different batteries. No blow dryer as this is the first place i have came across that didnt have one available. Downfall of no breakfast. Fresh coffee is in the lobby as only thing in room is a couple cups sugar packets and one coffee packet to mix with water in your room out of sink. Soap dispenser came off of wall first time using and was leaking which we put back on wall correctly.

The hotel is easy access and a great location between Chincoteague and Cape Charles. Linda at the front desk was courteous and professional. Gary, Julia and housekeepings were delightful and helpful. Easy check in and good value. The attractive looking lobby gave a very good first impression. The room was bright, clean and smelled fresh. The furnishings offered a nice touch. The king bed was comfortable. The jacuzzi was a great addition. Short driving distance to nearby towns for good sunrise and sunset views. Ask the staffs for advice. Another benefit, you get a discount at their business partnered restaurants. Will recommend.

Check in was super quick and easy and desk clerk was very nice. Lobby does not open till 9am so no coffee unless you use the packets in room w/hot tap water. Cups provided were not microwaveable.

Great location and great looking lobby. Delightful and helpful Staffs. Very bright and clean room with comfortable beds. Microwave and a small fridge were handy. Good sunrise can be viewed in the nearby town of Wachapreague and sunset in Onancock. You get a discount at local restaurants when you show them your hotel receipt. Will come again.
