It's an older property, but they are seriously remodeling at the moment. Noticed a lot of workman hanging out in the lobby, the parking area too. Speaking of the parking area it's in terrible need of repair, I almost fell in a hole in a parking space.

Checkin was good. While walking to room we noticed it being remarkably warm. We entered our room and it was horribly warm. Immediately turned on air, but it will not stay running. It stops and hums. Its so warm we cant get comfortable. I went in to get a shower and turned the water to hot. Literally let it run for over 10 min. Cold!!! Told my husband to call the front desk and ask about water. He came in laughing and shaking his head. The phone doesnt work. Ughhh Went to shut off, and felt a temp change. The cold setting is the hot water. We used $103 dollars of my expedia money or I would definitely go down and complain I dont like to gripe, but thos room is a miserable hot box. Also walked down to mcdonals and came back through pool room. It was closed and was completely tore apart with boxes and working material. We have stayed here before & never had these issues. Probably our last stay sadly

Pool is closed. Hours of breakfast are too restrictive. Will never stay there again, recommend finding another motel to stay in. Never refreshed the room. Had to ask for more coffee for the room, coffee was not provided after first morning.

We picked this hotel as I am a Best Western hotel fan wherever I travel. We also chose this one as it was calling for storms / rain all weekend and I was travelling with my grandkids and they had an indoor pool. The pool was out of service. The hallway did have an odd odor and the coffee pot in the room didn't work but their was fresh coffee in the lobby.

This was my first time staying at Best Western of Wise, VA. The staff members I met were very nice. My room was comfortable, clean, well lit with a large window wall and easily adjustable blinds. Air conditioning kept the room at a pleasant temperature. The breakfast area offered a variety of hot foods (scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, pancake making machine), and cold foods (cereal, yogurt, bread and bagels). My only complaint was that the pool was out of service (under reconstruction until January 2026). Also on Sunday, I had left a note for housekeeping for restock of coffee, hot cups, toilet paper. It was obvious that my room had no services that day.

The room was spacious and the king size bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the coffee pods supplied for the in room coffee maker. We appreciated the small fridge and microwave provided. TV worked well. Pillow were comfortable. The hotel was being renovated so there was dust everywhere and plugs hanging out of the wall is some common areas. Staff were pleasant but not overly friendly. Ice machine on our floor was broken. Overall we were pleased with our stay. Once the renovations are complete this place will most likely be top notch! Just remember, no matter how nice the hotel is, customer service is what brings people back!

Check-in was easy and staff was very friendlt and helpful. The room was generally comfortable but carpet was in need of replacing. Mini fridge kept our drinks cold. The tv remote didn't work well. This motel could use some updating as it looked a little worn inside, however our room was clean and we slept well each night. I would recommend this motel to others.

We had late check-in & the guy at the front desk was great! Our TV wouldn't work so he came in to help, once that was corrected I turned around & there was a cockroach walking across the pillow. We picked up our stuff & left the hotel. Had to find another place at 1:30AM & then had to pay double. So pretty much a terrible experience.

The Best Western is about what I expected as far as the condition. It was a bit more dated in some areas that could be easily fixed, like the shower curtain. The beds were comfortable and it was relatively clean, but my room had a very heavy smell of smoke and only one wash cloth. Overall- about what I expected for the price.

For what they are charging we should have kept driving to a better place to stay. The place is old, outdated, dirty and smells musty. We only stayed because we were tired coming home from the Carolina’s.

Breakfast options were good. Checking in, the room had not been cleaned. It had left over food, dirty towels, unmade bed and trash. Front desk did not have other options available. I understand the current shortage in the industry, but not willing to pay for a dirty room. Would not book with Best Western again.

We loved looking at the mountains from our hotel room. Reno’s steak house and McDonald’s was next to the hotel. We plan to visit again and will most definitely stay here at Best Western.

Biggest complaint would be that our room had a Mcdonalds right outside our window and since our room had no curtains - only accordian PAPER over the windows, the bright lights shined in all night long and the noise was ridiculous.

Very nice property for the money, and they're working on some final updates to spruce it up. Good breakfast buffet. The only knock is that the mattresses are like trampolines. When my wife rolled over it about bounced me in the air.

Called before hand and confirmed we were coming but it would be a late check in. The woman at the desk said that was fine…when we arrived we were made aware that we had been marked as a no show and our room was sold. They had no extra rooms nor did surrounding hotels so we had to travel even further for somewhere to stay. Definitely not a good experience especially when we booked this hotel days in advance.

The staff was absolutely amazing!! Tiffany the front desk manager, Taylor W, and Candice were so eager to assist me and were kind, courteous, thoughtful and available any time I called the front desk. They were so personable also. They took what is typically a transactional sort of task and made it interactional by asking me about how i was doing!!! Very perceptive and just phenomenal customer service. When i needed to stay a few extra nights they made sure my reservation was ready to go!! They are the best. I will stay here from now on because of their service. Thanks to them all.

This was a small stop for 5 hour to catch up on sleep on a long road trip. They had breakfast ready at 5:30AM which was great. It was just a very basic hotel and a bit rusty. Needs some love. Nothing special with check in or the stay itself. Not a bad spot for a quick night. Wouldn't book it for more than 1 day, but again, not bad for a quick stay.
