Came for an overnight- would have loved to stay longer! Friendly staff, smores by the fire, goats out back, all night bakery case with pastries- AND beer/wine! A lovely quiet location ( which was why I selected the location- staying the night before SAT testing) but offers good food, activities, 2 pools,Tennis, hot tub- and the peaceful relaxation also.

The suite was a great option for a longer stay with a teen, with a kitchen and private bedroom, plus a sofa bed. Daily “light touch” housekeeping was included (towels, dish soap, dishwasher pods, paper towels) and so was use of the spa facilities including the exercise room. The property is just now adding electric vehicle charging stations. The shopping and entertainment center nearby has good offerings including a full size grocery store for stocking the kitchen. Only complaint: the sofa bed was not terribly comfortable. A mattress pad should be added.

Overall enjoyed our stay. Hot tub wasn't working this morning. Noticed the pool area could use a very deep cleaning. Windows in pool area were very dirty and very dirty around the sills. No hooks in our bathroom. It's a spa...you have wet swim suits to hang and bathrobes, which we thought was strange. Overall we enjoyed and would return, but thought the price was a bit much for the room that we had.

Our view was of mechanicals, kegs, smokers, barbecues, garbage barrels & dumpster. It was a beautiful night but we had to close windows because of the noisy equipment. The A/C compressor in the room was very loud each time it shut off. The room itself needs updating especially the bathroom- rust around drain, dirty grout and ancient Moen shower valve. Very disappointed.

The property is very clean and the staff is excellent, always have a smile and very friendly and helpful. Our bedroom space was very clean, attractive but the bed was too hard and the pillows felt like they were filled with cement. the bathroom was a disappointment. There was a large area of rust around the bathtub drain, a turnoff for someone who likes baths. The bathroom door was so swollen that it was extremely hard to shut. The pedestal sink is sweet but there’s no place to put anything. The toilet most often doesn’t flush adequately. We didn’t use any services when we were there. The location of the facility is attractive and it was quiet. I was able to walk in the nearby neighborhood.

The hotel was very clean and welcoming. Our double queen room was a great size for the four of us. The outdoor pool was lovely. All the staff we interacted with were pleasant. The location was great for us as it was not far from downtown and close to routes out of town. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and I would recommend it.

The spa, pool, and hot tub were excellent. The room was clean and well stocked. However, I stayed in a “luxury” 1 bedroom suite and there was no where comfortable to sit. There was one small 2 seater couch that was very worn down and uncomfortable. I was hoping to sit cozily in front of the fireplace but that couch was bad. There was plenty of unused space … I suspect there used to be a comfortable chair there!

No WiFi! To be staying at a resort and not have proper WiFi is crazy. It didn’t work my entire 4 day stay. That isn’t acceptable. There also was no smart TV which is basic hotel standard at this point. Room itself was run down, dusty, and not as nice as prior stays. Used to view Essex as a treat but I would not return. Fire alarms happen, the communication was nonexistent.

The ac unit in my room seemed to malfunction and dropped the temp in my room to 45 degrees. Was able to shut it off and eventually get the room back to a normal temperature. Overnight staff was polite and helpful but couldn't resolve the technical issues with the system.

It is a lovely property with nice facilities and room was fine. However, be sure to ask for a room away from any weddings or other events. A wedding was right below our window and we didn't get much sleep. The HVAC system is also quite loud turning on and off.

Check in is overall poor. Staff was not at all attentive and did not give a good overview. of the property. Had to call the front desk twice about wi fi password. Internet kept going down. We travel a lot and the quality owns service of the front desk is not what I have experienced at any other resort. Perhaps hiring a more seasoned staff may remedy the problems we encountered

A little disappointed to find out the best restaurant was closed on the days we were there. The food at the pub was surprisingly good tho. The spa service seemed nice but they did screw up my booking a couple times. Hotel did go out of their way and gave a very good discount. I would stay again.

Great place to stay in Essex Junction, handy to Burlington. Room was well equipped and a good size. Desk staff was efficient and friendly, and they sell pastries that are great to take to the room and put in the cute refrigerator for breakfast in bed with a cup of coffee from the in-room coffee maker. Two cans of Vermont spring water in cans are provided - no plastic bottles. Great bedding, terry robes, and two luggage racks - nice touches!

Great location that was easy to get to with a couple of cute restaurants really close by as well. I love that they had coffee and tea out in the morning, spa water late morning and a treat able in the afternoon. Staff both in the resort and spa were wonderful - I had one of the best massages with Aaron. The spa amenities were lovely. Located kind of residential so it's quiet with lots of ability to walk or bike outside.

Resort is nice, though a bit older. Having a restaurant and bakery onsite is convenient. Food was very good. There is a movie theater close by but not much else but we knew that when booking. It’s a short drive to Burlington.

We stayed for two nights. The room was nice. The bed was a little soft but not unexpected from a hotel. The shower had lower pressure which was disappointing. The vent above the shower was louvers and was covered with lint (I hope!) which was a bit gross. We were there from Monday to Wednesday and one of their restaurants, Junction, was closed Monday and Tuesday night. Lastly we went to their restaurant, The Tavern, and had one of the worst burgers ever. Both burgers were asked to be cooked medium. It was so dry and the challah bun was super stale and basically crumbled apart. We tried their desserts at the lobby bakery. They were supposed to be freshly made daily but one had clearly been there for longer based on the taste and that we saw the same items there during the next day with fewer of the same items and only replaced with something else when gone. We went off resort for the rest of our meals. The was the most disappointing part as they are supposed to be a culinary resort.

Check in was easy. The Junction was a fantastic dinner. Bravo to the chef. Our waitress was so knowledgeable. She explained the menu and how everything was made etc. Spoke to the chef afterwards and she was gracious. We will definitely return.

Property was nice and quiet. Had reservations for the junction elevated food, was garbage. Duck was great. That’s it. Chicken dish was worst chicken dish ever. Looked boiled. So disappointed. Good at the lazy goat also inside much better, staff was great there. Don’t go to junction for dinner just stick with the lazy goat.

Despite having issues reserving a table and getting our reservation changed without our consent multiple times, the manager did eventually try to make up for the issues. Rooms are quiet, bed comfortable and generally staff we were very helpful.

We stayed at the Essex for a quick getaway right after our wedding and it was everything we needed and hoped for. Quiet, relaxing, and convenient with all of the on site amenities. I got a massage at the spa and it truly was life saving for my post-wedding sore bod. Dining at the Tavern was a highlight with excellent service and top notch food! We would love to come back sometime and stay longer to enjoy all the area has to offer!
