Residence Inn by Marriott Seattle Northeast Bothell

When we checked in, we were offered a second floor room. I asked about elevator and to my surprise this property has no elevators. YES, A MARRIOTT WITH NO ELEVATOR! I asked for a main floor and there were none, hmm, it seems if you are in the know, you check in early and get a main floor. We were on a 10 day trip, large heavy bags. No offer was a made to accommodate or assist with bags. So at my age, a little older, I lugged bags up odd and uncomfortable concrete steps. All this for a Marriott. Not a Motel 6 or less. Room itself was clean and nice, however, my ran out of hot water on a bath. How is that possible in 2025, she was not even using that much but it was late morning, want a hot shower, go early! Then there is the door knob, almost impossible to open and clear the door frame. Once we were shut inside and had to work, wiggle and life on the door handle to get out. Mentioned this to the desk and were told this happens with the warmer weather (really this is Seattle weather at 70 degrees) such an insulting dodge. The lock or locks need attention and the proper try manager needs to address not give the front desk a “weather excuse” I would recommend that Marriott dropped this property, it clearly does not represent the Marriott Brand well. Clearly this is a busy location and why do they need to address simple maintenance or issues like no elevator or Bell Man service. On a separate note, the dumpsters doors are propped open???

The complex is nice but the outdoor areas need some wok. The grounds are somewhat run down. The suit was very nice and updated. The icemaker wasn't working and after we called the front desk it was replaced in less than one hour. The continental breakfast was alright. The pool was small but clean. To our surprise there was a pickle ball court but the plastic covering the court was warped and hard to play on. We had a great experience and would definitely stay there again.

Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable! Breakfast was great, location is good. My only complaint is parking - we often had to park a block from our room.

Pool had no towels, no shade. The one shade umbrella was broken. The pool was green. Was not offered towels when the front desk was told of the problem.

Extra fee for parking was not cool.

Parking was expensive at $12/day when it really should be part of the room expense since this was a pricey hotel. Breakfast very mediocre and basically the same everyday. Checked in on a Friday and didn’t plan to clean til the following Thursday, right before we checked out. Had to go to a different building to get more towels. Came to town to visit my son so struggled with the extra cost of parking.

This is a great property except you have to watch out for the hidden charges! $12.00 a day for parking there. They advertise a competitive nightly fee but then turn around and charge $12.00 a day to park your car there. So how else are you going to get there?? By walking?? What’s next?? Charging for heat or water???

Very nice. The property is very spread out 10 buildings. The price is right especially with a full kitchen. If you want the free breakfast ask to stay in Bldg 1, 2, or 3. Unless you don’t mind driving to the main building. Or freezing while walking there in 30 degrees. Brrr.. Parking around those 3 buildings is limited but otherwise no complaints.

The property is under construction so it looks pretty run down. There was some garbage left in our room when we checked in but other than that it was clean and comfortable.

Comfortable, clean everything we could have wanted. Will stay again.

No one ever cleaned our room

Unit was clean and spacious. it was perfect for working and other than the pungent smoking smell that was immediately noticable when entering the unit everything was good. Once inside for a 1/2 hour or so, the smell dissipated.

We were mostly disappointed. Ice maker had been removed which seemed to surprise front desk. The room smelled musty/moldy when we checked in and room was quite cold. We were hurrying out to dinner so we opened windows and left. 4 hours later room smelled worse. It seemed to be coming through the air system so we shut it off. Guessed filthy air filters? Smell finally dissipated after 2:30am. Needless to say, restless night with open windows and no air flow. Deep cleaning needed, webs in places, rusty vent in bathroom, stains on ceiling. We liked the location and hope these issues were unique to 215. Unfortunately we were very aware of people above us as well.

We had a great stay here! The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything that we needed.

The floors in the room above us squeaked loudly when people walked. Th non smoking room smelled like someone had smoked in there for years.

I have stayed at the hotel before, had a nice clean room. That weekend my family came in to visit and we all stayed in the same hotel in a larger room until monday. That room was terrible: door knobs not working, faucet with loose handle, burn marks in the bathroom, mold on the windows, and vent dust on the ceiling. Do like the trail behind the spot

This hotel checked off all of our requirements: very clean, comfortable bed/bedding, quiet (both in our unit and the surrounding neighborhood), location good (close to amenities and to our destination). We appreciated the small kitchen area which included a full size refrigerator w/freezer. The sitting area was also comfortable with a small sectional and tables. Our only issue was the breakfast. The food offerings were typical so no problem there, but the staff had a hard time keeping items refilled and keeping up with cleaning. The breakfast area is rather small and not laid out well so moving about with many other people there was difficult. Not a deal breaker for us, just something to be aware of so that you can leave yourself plenty of time when having breakfast.

Phones were not working Need to beg for house cleaning especially when charging approx $400/night

Did not get room that was reserved with fireplace which was rather disappointing. Rooms are clean but could use some updating. Spoke with customer support about the issue but did not get much resolution. Probably would not stay at this location again

Very nice stay. Rooms were large. Area is quiet.

Did not have a clear picture of the type of residence inn it was. Great layout. Room was comfortable. Had an issue with AC - sent maintenance man and we could not understand him. Oh well. Also, had a room above tennis courts - several time a little boy hit the ball against our window.

Very spacious room, and the set-up of multiple separate complexes with a small number of rooms means way less noise from others.

We enjoyed staying in suite at affordable price

The rooms are set up like mini apartments, its nice to have a room for each bed or have the kids sleep on the pull-out in the living room for space and privacy. The only weird thing is the bathroom is only accessed through the bedroom. We stayed three nights and had to ask for a room change after the first night because they originally put us on the bottom floor, and we could hear every footstep from the people above us, and when they flushed the toilet, it sounded like a flood was going to come through the ceiling. My boyfriend fixed two doors while we were there because they stuck on the hinge and made too much noise when opened/closed. The pullout couch in the living room in the first room was broken and very uncomfortable for our 16-year-old son to sleep on.

The front desk was so friendly! Especially Sunday when there were checkouts and breakfast going on.

Although advertised as pet friendly, the cleaning staff would not enter our room even after we introduced her to our small, friendly dogs. We had to empty our own trash and get our towels. The bed was only remade once in our weekly stay due to this.

The hotel offers decent amenities, but overall, I was disappointed with the experience. The building is clearly old, and it shows. Staff were consistently unfriendly—no smiles or welcoming attitude throughout my stay. The walls are paper-thin, so I could hear every sound from neighboring rooms. Breakfast had a very limited selection and didn’t meet expectations. When I was denied a late checkout, I was also told there was no place to store my luggage for even a few hours, which was extremely inconvenient. While the amenities themselves were okay, the overall atmosphere and service make it a place I won’t be returning to.

Wonderful staff and customer service

The property being close to downtown and the Chataeu property is perfect. When my wife and I arrived, we were told by your employee Quincy, that we couldn’t check in at 4 and maybe 5. A couple then arrived shortly after us and he promptly got them their room. He then asked for my phone number so he could text me when our room was ready, I never received a text or call. Not staying here in the future.

All went well with the stay until we got home and found out that the hotel had charged our credit card for the stay in spite of the fact that we prepaid through the app (which was acknowledged when we checked in). In checkout, we were given a receipt for parking charges only and only found out when we got home that they had also charged us for the room. Now we’ve been waiting days for a refund because the hotels.com team can’t get a response from the hotel.

Had a 2 bedroom suite reserved for one night stay. Tried to check in at 3:30pm and was told that official check in is 4pm and room was not ready. Came back at 4pm to find out room was previously occupied and would not be available to us. We were offered two adjoining 1 bedroom suites with discount. Was traveling with elderly mother who has difficulty with stairs and the new accommodations were upstairs with no elevator. Poor communication from the staff. Last but not least the room keys had been turned off when we returned from breakfast to get luggage and check out ( prior to time ). Spoke with manager at check out and was disappointed . She did not seem competent at that position and was trying to explain about dynamic pricing on why the 1 bedroom suite had not been discounted more.

I have stayed here 4 times in last year. Probably last time. Front desk never answers the phone. They weren’t even there to check in. Must be short staffed. Took an hour to get a working iron. At pool towels were not restocked so we called and were told they would be there in minutes. An hour later no towels. Had customers calling hotel to connect to my room and front desk could not transfer calls to the room. Just lots of small issues that started adding up

This hotel is a very underwhelming experience. My room wasn’t ready and till after 8 PM. Breakfast was average. The walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbour sneeze! Won’t be staying there again!!

Close to major roads easy access

Overall, a great place to stay. It was well located near I-405 which makes it easy getting around Seattle, but everywhere I needed to go required a car (don't expect to walk anywhere).

Great place for business trip or visiting Bothell.

Quiet and close to restaurants

Great room. We were in the main building with the lobby and it was never loud from noises in the common area. Close to a walking trail which we used one morning. Not much in the area in the way of restaurants or shopping. Nothing walkable. Breakfast OK have had better from other Residence Inns. Breakfast area pretty small, was tough to get a spot to sit. $12 daily fee for parking. Will be back.

The hotel was kind of in the middle of nowhere but it was a pretty neighborhood with a super cute walking/ bike path super close by. The breakfast was decent with a waffle machine and cheese omelettes and sausage. The thing I didn’t like was that we had a lot of luggage and we had to hall it up a ton of step stairs.

Quit and close to the freeway

We loved the location; very convenient and quiet. The breakfast is not really a breakfast and we were charged for on site parking.

I love staying, close to trails, quiet, restful. I don’t like that I have to pay to park though.

They are in the process of some renovations but no problem with noise or inconvenience. Staff was very nice and helpful. They do need to improve the breakfast which is very limited.

Check in is easy and quick, rooms are great! Kitchens are a nice bonus. The rooms were clean when we checked in, but no one makes your bed each day or cleans your room. You’re on your own till check out. Breakfast is fake eggs every day and over cooked sausage. But there was bagels oatmeal and cereal as well as make your own waffles.

The morning breakfast was empty by 930 am and was not able to eat.

We were disappointed with the the hot full breakfast both mornings as the hotel was short staffed and there was only 1 employee to prepare the breakfast items, clean up the room, wash dishes, etc. Nothing against the employee as they were doing their best but we ended up having to wait so long to get coffee and food items that we gave up. The hotel should not say that they offer a full hot breakfast included in the per night pricing when they can't fulfill this promise to deliver. Overall the hotel is in need of renovation upgrades as it is looking pretty tired.

Breakfast hashbrown had hair in it. The food was cold and not really that great tasting. Room was great and clean though.

Ran out of breakfast food everyday of our stay. Even waffle batter. Eggs, oatmeal, sausage. Last day, no eggs, waffle batter, vegan sausage, youghurt, oatmeal (just a little). The servers who were wonderful and kind and embarrassed said they cook what they get that day.our stay was 5 days. They ran out daily.

The breakfast on the 24th was very good, we loved having a fireplace, and a separate bedroom. We didn’t care for the breakfast this morning on the 26th, it was disappointing.
