You’re paying for access but that it is unlike anything most people can do.

We stayed at the Kalaloch lodge cabin with family of 4 recently and really enjoyed. The location and view is totally worthy it. The two double beds has a half wall separation. It has full kitchen, the living area is spacious. The wood-log interior all around and the wood-burning fireplace made it very cabin, rustic feeling yet it has all the convenience as a hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had breakfast at the restaurant in the lodge. The food is very delicious and not much expensive than the regular brunch. The sound isolation of window is very good so the ocean wave didn't bother our sleep.

The view was amazing. The cabins were perfect. But cleanliness was an issue. Black mold around the shampoo holders and the shampoo and conditioner were both completely empty. We ate at the restaurant and has dirty coffee cups and then had black stuff floating in our soda! Yikes. Over all it’s worth staying at for the location and wood stove alone.

If I could permanently live in the cabins I would. Our cabin was super clean and cozy, we absolutely loved the fire! We also really enjoyed the restaurant and the staff there. We even got engaged at one of the beaches. We will 10000% be back!
