Beautiful gardens! We stayed 2 nights Sunday & Monday. And the on-site restaurant was unfortunately closed when we arrived & didn’t re-open until after we left Tues eve. So we didn’t get to try that. Our room was very clean but the king sized bed was on a metal frame that made my side of the bed shake, every time my husband breathed. It was a shaky bed. Mattress felt fine but my back hurt when I woke & the following day, it was worse. So that was the worst part. The decorations were super out of date, and looked old, not retro. Outdoor stairwell was covered in filth & birdpoop. Indoor stairwell was dirty & had spiderwebs, but the bedrooms were as clean as a whistle. That was important part. Staff were all kind & eager to help.

Really needs serious renovation. Furniture is old, closet doors don’t open well and exterior is distressed in a bad way. Hallway is creepy. The deck just side room was dirty. Huge lost opportunity with outdoor spaces. Could really be great. Smells older…musty. Lots of potential. Should hire an interior designer and architect. The gallery is nice idea. Suggest exhibiting local artist and removing the print art on the walls throughout. Great location. Our room had a great view. Would reconfigure furniture so bed faces water and have a rail vs solid wall so TV and view is in line of sight. The lobby is awful. Old carpeting, woodwork and furnishings. Lastly, way overpriced. If fixed up then price is justified.

The location is exceptional. The history of the building is one of a kind. The lobby and art gallery are great. My wife and I have stayed at the Old Alcohol Plant Inn twice, and we are already thinking about going back there next year.

Our bay-view room was very large and clean. The furniture is eclectic and older but of good quality. However, the hotel entry area smelled musty, and our second-floor hallway smelled of something nasty. Fortunately, the room smelled just fine.

The grounds and view stunning. Breakfast was above the usual, nice attention to detail. The art work on walls added extra unique interest. Staff helpful. The suite was comfortable . and nicely decorated. Would go again.

The room I stayed in was spacious. It is older so it has that smell of an older place. It did not disappoint and was more than I expected with the cleanliness. It was peaceful and had a breath taking view from my balcony.

Our room was very clean, with great view of the marina & bay. We enjoyed our deck in the morning & evening. Staff was very friendly. We would visit again. It was a good location, close to Port Townsend. Liked that they help houseless locals who are in need.

A wonderfully restored old building! The room was comfortable and clean with a cozy bed. And the view from the room was breathtaking. A beautiful setting on a quiet bay with the charm and personality of an old building brought back with love and taste. Would definitely return!

We went off season. The sofa was broken and uncomfortable, some of the shades were missing, the jacuzzi took forever to fill, and for day two we reused the glasses and cups. The room temperature was difficult to regulate.

The wall are looks like not insulated, I can hear very clearly what they are talking from the other room. Mattress was very soft, old and un-even, sofa was very old and un-even too. There was not coffee table in living room area, but it was showing in their ads.

Beds were real uncomfortable ended up throwing my back out. Rooms were large very noisy. Never heard anything on the website that the hotel is haunted sort of freak me out. Needs to have a complementary breakfast restaurant only serves twice a week. Probably won’t stay here again

The spacious corner suite we had looked out onto the bay from two sides and had a pleasant balcony to sit on. The hotel's restaurant served very good food and fulfilled all of our food needs during the stay. The grounds add charm. The mood is quirky and creative.

No AC in July, the patio isn't safe as anybody from the next door rooms can come onto your patio, therefore, you can't keep it open at all times (esp during the night), not clean, but not too dirty either, smell of old hotel, not ok for allergies; not enough staff (had to wait for them to show up at the front desk); the door was stuck and I wasn't able to open it without their help.

Our room was very dated, and the light fixture in the bedroom was an old ceiling fan with three of the four bulbs dead, and you could hear the neighbors next door using their bathroom. The inn was nicely situated at the end of Port Townsend Bay with a very nice view. We received two free drink tokens at check-in for the on-site restaurant, and when we arrived an hour before they closed we were told it would be about a 30 minute wait to be seated. We waited for 10 minutes before they came back out to say the cooks said they wouldn't be cooking for anyone without a reservation, and they were sorry but we'd have to go somewhere else. We asked if we could at least use our drink tokens and the host said that we couldn't.

We found the hotel to be very much like the small hotels and inns we found in Europe. The grounds are landscaped and the gardens, including a vegetable garden, are lovely. The staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful. We would very much like to stay again.

Overall a nice stay. The hotel offers stunning views of the water and has a charming property with gardens growing vegetables and herbs used in their restaurant. Dinner was excellent, and service throughout was friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit dated, and breakfast was just okay—service was quite slow in the morning. The people who worked there are nice. The view is magnificent. It was nice to have a balcony but they are not very private.

First time here, and their customer service was amazing. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Place was perfect for a weekend getaway and the grounds were lovely. Room was clean, comfortable and had a great view. We ate in the restaurant which was also great service, drinks and food. Will definitely recommend to friends and return ourselves.

The after hours number to check in was not answering so I am unable to check in with late check in. Slept in the parking lot until the overnight staff finally answered the phone at 5 am. When asked why the phone wasn’t answered, the gentlemen said he didn’t receive any calls, which was disingenuous.

This hotel has a pretty location where clearly the main business is weddings. It is just a very dated (bordering on shabby) property - old carpet, room furniture, bathroom etc. if you’re a fairly regular traveler, you’ll be used to much more updated properties. The staff is ok but there aren’t enough of them to answer the phone and do check ins and/or take dinner reservations at the same time on a busy Saturday. Restaurant and bar food is very average. There IS however a very cool farm stand at the hotel where you can get fresh local veggies and flowers to take home. It would be amazing if their kitchen used these products. If you’re going for a wedding, go and enjoy the wedding. But if you have a choice of hotels, you can find much better for the price. This hotel seems to have a social mission to support transitional and community housing which is truly great. I think they could raise money for their cause if they could start updating their lobby and rooms.

We waited for 10 minutes before they came back out to say the cooks said they wouldn't be cooking for anyone without a reservation, and they were sorry but we'd have to go somewhere else. Such a great experience! I attended a concern in Port Townsend and came back to stay. I needed a confidential room for a meeting that was at the same time as check out. While they couldn't accommodate a late check out for me due to others checking in, they went above and beyond to find me a private space to meet in. I do wish I could have purchased water (none in the vending machine) or filled up my water (I didn't look around too much) as I didn't have any in the room. I had a BEAUTIFUL view and will be staying there again!

The setting of this hotel is wonderful. However, the rooms and the interior are very dated. It was a little challenging getting our bags to our room. The staff was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. We needed a peaceful place to stay and this fit the bill.

This place was quaint. Nice clean furnishings but not new. Loved the view of the water from my living room and that I could move the furniture to accommodate my writing weekend. Plus the Inn was the perfect distance from Pt Townsend and Ft Flagler for shopping and walks.

Beds were real uncomfortable ended up throwing my back out. Rooms were large very noisy. Never heard anything on the website that the hotel is haunted sort of freak me out. Needs to have a complementary breakfast restaurant only serves twice a week. Probably won’t stay here again

We booked our stay here because it looked like an interesting, historic place to stay. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The front desk staff took the time to explain the history and current mission. How many places are set up with the end goal to help local humanity?! I’d stay there again and again just because of that, but the room was beautiful with a fireplace and view of the gardens and water. Dinner (we had paella and beet salad) was amazing. They grow their own vegetables there and source local meats and seafood. We lucked out that the night we were there was half price bottles of wine night. It was the best meal we had during our week long trip. Stay there- you won’t regret a moment!
