Absolutely gorgeous property! The breakfast is unlike any other complimentary ones you will find. We took advantage of the kayaks, SUP, bikes, hot tub, bicycles, and walking trails. Did not have time to play tennis but courts looked okay. Views are awesome. Did not like carrying a room key around. Updates to trailside rooms would be nice but they were clean.

The Gordon lodge is in a beautiful setting, with so many activities available for all ages. The view of the lake from our room was really nice. They provide bikes, kayaks, & paddle boards for guests to use. Breakfast had a great variety, & was delicious. We will definitely stay here again.

Loved the grounds, ease of using kayaks, very nice pool & pool deck as well as great breakfast! Outstanding views. Really liked trailside one bedroom but would recommend real plates and forks, knives & spoons.

Beautiful grounds. Lots to do- swim, kayak, bike, fish from the dock, several trails on the property itself and beautiful sunsets. Food is limited to the breakfast buffet and when the docktop restaurant is open (only open for dinners and not every night of the week). You will have to go offsite for dining and its a little bit of a jaunt (not walkable). The rooms are cleaned every other day, unless you request it and they didnt restock supplies on the days our room was cleaned. We had an issue with noise coming from a vent in another room. They attempted to fix the problem but it started again a couple days later. The mattress on our bed was really uncomfortable. For the price of the stay, they really need to upgrade their mattresses or at least get mattress toppers. Entrance into the front door only has stairs so those who have special needs and cant use stairs, they would have to enter through the pool area. Finally, on some of the days we were there, they were doing photo shoots for the property which prevented people from accessing some of the amenities for periods of time. Overall, beautiful property, but not comfortable for the price.

We needed a one night stay at the last minute and was able to book Cabin 14… it was absolutely wonderful!!! We kayaked, walked the nature trails, had excellent food both breakfast and dinner and went for a swim. The grounds and accommodations are exceptional. Thank you for a perfect stay.

Well kept lodge with a beautiful view of the bay. Patio faces the sunrise over the bay. Breakfast was better than your average hotel fare. Kayaks and bikes were available at no charge. Just great overall experience. We will be back!

The room was clean, but the carpet was stained and worn - time to replace. The Top Deck restaurant was very convenient with great views. The food was OK. Stay away from the butternut squash ravioli the sauce was like water and the vegetables raw. All of the staff and servers were excellent and the grounds impeccably kept.

Rating: 3/5 One of the most unforgettable experiences during my stay was the breathtaking sunrise right from the cottage. Waking up early and watching the sky light up with shades of orange, pink, and gold was absolutely mesmerizing. The cottage’s location provides a perfect, unobstructed view, making it feel like a private show from nature itself. The peaceful morning atmosphere, combined with the beauty of the rising sun, made it the highlight of my trip. If you’re someone who loves natural beauty, the sunrise view from this property is an absolute must-see! The property itself is stunning, with a serene atmosphere and well-kept cottages that make for a peaceful getaway. However, the main downside that significantly affected my stay was the overwhelming number of flies and mosquitoes inside the cottage. Even after spraying mosquito repellant, they persisted, making it difficult to relax, especially in the evenings. Additionally, there were almost no vegetarian options in the breakfast or restaurant menus, which was quite limiting. Since the location was isloated it became difficult to get food from outside. I recommend to carry your own food if you are a vegetarian. Despite the amazing setting, these issues detracted from the overall experience.

Everything was absolutely beautiful, especially the flowers and the fall decor. We stayed in cabin 16, which was very nice except that the carpeting was very very old, probably about 50 years old and extremely musty in the room.we could barely breathe the first night we were in there it was so bad. We put a fan in the room and opened all the windows. We eventually got used to it and enjoyed our stay, but please, don’t take cabin 16 if they don’t change the carpeting and fix the smell, at least putting a dehumidifier in there . That was our big concern but overall the place is incredible and would stay again and recommend

First the took the whole amount for the weekend right away from our account even though I chose to do half. The place is very dated needs remodeling. The first room had fruit flies or something all over the kitchen. 2nd rm. was not very clean and there was food in the kitchen sink. Also you can’t clean with your own cleaning supplies. No pets allowed but when pointed out that someone had two cats they allowed the person to stay!

This was our first time at Gordon Lodge and we will definitely be back. It is the perfect location for a quiet relaxing getaway. The restaurant on the grounds is delicious with good options. Staff was always friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is a very weak internet signal. The strength is the same in the rooms or in the lodge. I was trying to conduct some work meetings but it did not go smoothly. However, it is the perfect spot for water activities and relaxing. I just would not plan on engaging in any work that would require video.

Beautiful setting! Grounds are well kept. Having a floating sauna on property during the summer is amazing. The accommodations could use modernization. The cottage we stayed appears not to have been updated since the 1960s. On the brightside, the views were fantastic.

We had a great time. Plus: a little ways away from the hustle and bustle, beautiful trails and waterfront area, great breakfast, our unit had mini kitchen so we could save $$ and have pizza in room. Negative: had a downstairs unit and either people above us were stomping (which I doubt) or there is poor sound insulation between floors. We went off season and it was great. I'd be more concerned during peak on if the place gets crowded. It's like a mini resort with apartments and cabins spread throughout

The lodge has clearly been around for a while, and some of the amenities are dated; for example, the air conditioner in the room was very loud and made it very difficult to sleep., The baseboard heating was on, and there was no way to turn that off, even with the central control. Having said that, however, you only spend time in the room sleeping. The grounds are gorgeous and the staff very friendly. Really appreciated the breakfast as well.

An absolutely delightful visit. Going off season was really nice as we felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves. It's beautiful and located perfectly for visiting multiple towns for dinner and biking. Customer service was TOP NOTCH!

This is a great place to stay. It isn’t very far from any given town in the area. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful with anything that you wanted or needed.
This is a great place to stay. It isn’t very far from any given town in the area. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful with anything that you wanted or needed.

We loved our stay at Gordon Lodge in early October! Since it is located north of Bailey's Harbor and the lane is quite long, it seems so private and quaint. The outside grounds are absolutely beautiful and extremely well-maintained, and of course, the bay is always a spectacular sight. Even though the Lodge itself has been there a long, long time, everything is in shipshape condition and exceptionally clean. The view of the Bay can be seen from all the rooms because of how the lodge was originally built. There are also a dozen or so cabins you can stay in, if preferred. The exterior pool and hot tub were directly outside the front door, and several hiking trails are located close by. There were bikes, kayaks, life jackets, boards, and tennis rackets available for use. The only thing we regretted was we visited the beginning of the week and the restaurant on the grounds is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Thankfully, there are several great restaurants in other towns in Door County.

The room was clean, but the carpet was stained and worn - time to replace. The Top Deck restaurant was very convenient with great views. The food was OK. Stay away from the butternut squash ravioli the sauce was like water and the vegetables raw. All of the staff and servers were excellent and the grounds impeccably kept.

Beautiful grounds. Lots to do- swim, kayak, bike, fish from the dock, several trails on the property itself and beautiful sunsets. Food is limited to the breakfast buffet and when the docktop restaurant is open (only open for dinners and not every night of the week). You will have to go offsite for dining and its a little bit of a jaunt (not walkable). The rooms are cleaned every other day, unless you request it and they didnt restock supplies on the days our room was cleaned. We had an issue with noise coming from a vent in another room. They attempted to fix the problem but it started again a couple days later. The mattress on our bed was really uncomfortable. For the price of the stay, they really need to upgrade their mattresses or at least get mattress toppers. Entrance into the front door only has stairs so those who have special needs and cant use stairs, they would have to enter through the pool area. Finally, on some of the days we were there, they were doing photo shoots for the property which prevented people from accessing some of the amenities for periods of time. Overall, beautiful property, but not comfortable for the price.

We had an excellent time at Gordon Lodge! The staff was very friendly, and the place was clean and well-maintained throughout our stay.
