Great vacation. Resort is dated but the staff is awesome! Loved the entertainment at night and enjoyed the pool. So lucky 85 degrees at the resort in October …. Awesome! Will definitely repeat during the summer!

Beautiful property. Tons of amenities. Arcade, pool, fitness room. Great restaurants within the resort. Very nice lobby with a bar. We will definitely return for a summer stay to enjoy the lake and private beach!

No daily housekeeping service. Understaffed restaurant. When requested replacement of towels after 2nd night, they did not even pick up used linens. Instead new towels were simply left in a bag inside room door! Bathroom tissue box ran out of tissues. Minimal bath supplies. No shower cap for example. Not what one expects from resort such as this.

Our room was very dirty. Found nail clippings on the carpet in living room and hair in the bathroom sinks. Our television in our bedroom did not work so we couldn’t watch anything while laying down. Honestly pretty disappointed considering it’s a resort and the amount of money I paid for a room. Quality control needs to step in and audit housekeeping.

I love the Osthoff. Elkhart Lake and the resort is beautiful. I return every year! I gave four stars because our shower was dirty, and I can tell that it wasn't cleaned for some time. Secondly, we had to call maintenance because our TV wasnt working. Lastly, the siding surrounding our balcony was FULL of spider webs and bugs.

It is an absolutely beautiful property. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Really close to needing an update however. Also - the hallways smelled like sewage. Not sure what that was about. It would be amazing if that was taken care of.

We loved the overall property. We checked in and our shower was full of mold. I called the front desk and the said they were sold out and couldn’t change our room. My wife is highly allergic to mold and she had to shower in our friends room. When I checked out I asked to speak with a manager. I was called into a room. The manager was nice but wouldn’t do anything to rectify the situation. She said the person I spoke with should have offered to clean the shower with bleach. No such offer was made The manager said if we ever return she would offer a better view room if available. Quite a poor response to make us happy. Oh well. I didn’t want to make a scene and left.

Amazing resort with plenty of amenities and comforts. Surprised but happy to see the kitchenette, nice balcony, jacuzzi tub plus walk in shower and fireplace. Very close to Road America for race fans and lots of racers hanging out in Elkhart Lake.

My reservation clearly stated a two bedroom with balcony but I was given was a two bedroom of the backside of the hotel with a view of another building hardly a balcony it was overpriced the unit was old the carpeting was worn the kitchen had no drawers believe it or not and all in all I think it was a complete waste of money.

I was disappointed in my stay largely because my room while large was dated and in need of multiple repairs. The staff was lovely and very accommodating but from the minute I walked in until the morning that I left, I had to have them fix things in order to be able to use them. For instance, my bathtub did not drain when I went to use the television the remote needed new batteries, when I went to turn on the fireplace, it was not operational. Additionally, there were virtually no food options and unfortunately the wing I was in just smelled stale and dirty.

The weekend crew was way better at service. During the week we requested turn down service and extra towels and it required several texts and phone calls and we did not always get the service. The weekend crew was better. The resort is beautiful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I wish our neighbor didn't bring his ukulele and sing terribly on his balcony every night, but that's not the hotel's fault. Charging a $13 delivery fee for room service, plus expecting a tip, was a bit extravagant when the restaurant was right below us. The Osthoff Hotel app never worked right and wouldn't let us order room service or virtually check out. On Monday morning when we were trying to sleep in, the fire alarm went off for 10 minutes at 7:30 am due to some maintenance the hotel was doing. I've had much better stays at this hotel the last 5 years and I'm sad this experience was not one of the best.

Front end staff was horrible. Check in process sucked and was unclear on website. Waited 3 hours for a new iron to come to our room while trying to get ready for a wedding and the ironing board was broke. Food sucked at the restaurant. Check out process also was not a good experience because things were not explained at check in. Grounds were amazing beautiful and welcoming, the staff were not.

The restaurants were disappointing. We tried to call for room service and no one answered. We even called the front desk. There was supposed the be entertainment, and it never happened. No communication. Valentine special for dinner was so bad I couldn’t eat it. The room was spacious. The winter view was beautiful. It was nice to have a suite with a kitchen dining room and fireplace. Overall I was disappointed in the food.

It was a great property with great amenities and great access to the lake. We had a minor problem with a charge that was mistakenly on the room but we called and they promptly fixed it. A+ would stay here again.

The restaurant Otto's (which is the only place to get breakfast) was very understaffed. We waited at our table for 20 minutes before we got place settings, drinks, our order, etc....At least 3 servers walked right past us and didn't even acknowledge that we were there. Also, it would be really nice if they offered complimentary coffee in the lounge area - instead you had to wait in a long line (again, only one server) just to get an expensive cup of coffee. I can see charging for specialty coffees but regular coffee should be available at no additional cost.

The property was stunning. Everything was walkable including the cute town. We enjoyed golf (excellent fish fry and great golf course - glacier 9 was picturesque- even saw deer), walked to farmers market in town Sat morning. The lake was the clearest lake I’ve ever seen. Awesome sand beach for the kids and a bar and concession right there as well. If you walk down the path there are 2 more hotels and a cool tiki bar with live music outdoors. The Osthoff also had great music in the elk room. Also loved walking to the ice cream shop in town every night after dinner. Great Memorial Day weekend at the Osthoff - we will be back!!

A lot of young and inexperienced staff that are in need of better training. If Sergio, chef, had not intervened, the birthday dinner would have been an absolute disaster. Kudo's to Sergio, demerits to the rest of the waitstaff. Not worth the rate being charged. Feels like they are living off of a reputation, not quality of operations.

The property is beautiful and timeless. Overall, really enjoyed our stay. Kids loved the indoor pool and arcade. Cute gift shop. Otto’s restaurant on site was not terribly impressive. Salads were a bit “tired-looking” and chicken overdone/rubbery.

Writing this review as im here. Checking in with Beth and Courtney at the front was amazing. Chuck in the Elk room was as well. Our room was spotless, and the bed is super comfy. The room description didn't mention a whirlpool tub. That is a very welcome surprise. Some construction was happening, but was easily forgettable with the service and atmosphere. Only downside was Otto was closed and Concourse menu didn't have what I was looking for.

It was absolutely beautiful! The grounds, plantings, gazebo- all so lovely. Our room was perfect. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. I think more options for dinner time would have added to our experience.

Oh my gosh this place is wonderful! Our room was gorgeous and so comfortable. The whole place is really beautiful and has a relaxing vibe. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has incredible food. We will definitely be staying again.
